With a breakthrough to the Beginner Arch-mage realm, my chances of winning decreased drastically. Now that she had broken through, my previous tactic was infeasible. My Blinding Curse wasn't strong enough to blind a Beginner Arch-mage long enough for it to be effective. I would only be throwing mana down the drain if I did that.

Her mana storage was somehow filled to the brim with mana after the breakthrough. Was it a secret technique? From my knowledge, a breakthrough usually decreased your mana since the lower quality magic particles were expelled from the body. Most people needed to recuperate their mana after a single breakthrough which was why it was almost impossible to achieve multiple breakthroughs at once.
I looked at my remaining mana.

"Bzzz! This is an emergency! ARE THERE ANY HEALERS, DOCTORS, OR POISON SPECIALISTS? THE KING HAS BEEN POISONED! I REPEAT, THE KING HAS BEEN POISONED!"
'What?' I turned to look at the VIP room reserved for the king and queen. Sure enough, the king was laid down while the queen looked in worry.
I wanted to stop the fight, but the mission...
"There's no need to fight. I concede." Melissa said as if reading my mind.
She ripped her card and in a moment's notice the bubble wrapped around her and disappeared.

It didn't look like I received any merit points if my opponent surrendered. Either way, there was a bigger problem at hand. The king was in danger! I normally wouldn't give a damn but recalling the incident from earlier, I decided to curry some favor with the king. If he held any negativity toward me, he could easily sentence me to death.
The brick walls of the inner-stadium that separated the stage and the audience was only about 5 metres tall. I couldn't jump over it directly, but I could definitely scale over it like a ninja. I climbed up the wall by gripping the brick ledges. Once I got to the top, I kicked my foot up over the wall and leveraged my body so I could flip over the wall
The people seated at the front were surprised that I climbed directly over the wall. Ignoring them, I made my way to the VIP room all the way in the back. Running up the stairs, I finally reached the room. The locked door was already opened and inside, was the king who was sprawled on the chair. On the side, was Melissa, the queen, and an old guy.
Three elderly men with long white beards were next to the king checking him out with some type of first aid kit.
One of them opened the king's mouth and after a while said, "Sure enough, he was poisoned by a grade 7 poison.
"Grade 7?!?" The other two chimed in.
"Can he be saved?" The old guy next to the queen said with a seemingly worried expression.
"I'm afraid... with our current capabilities, we are unable to cure a grade 7 poison." Said the elder.
'Grade 7 poison? What were they talking about?' The three elders were talking as if the king had been diagnosed with explosive diarrhea or something. I obviously had no clue what they were saying.
'Appraise.'

Seeing his Life Force, I barged in and took out a Healing Potion from my inventory. Ignoring the three elders, I shoved the Healing Potion into the king's mouth.
"What are you doing? We don't even know what poison it is and you're feeding him a drug." One of the three bearded ones said.
"Get your hands of his majesty at ONCE!" the old guy at the side yelled loud enough for everyone to hear.
The three elders came behind me to restrain me, but when they saw the complexion on the king's face lessening, they let me continue.
He seemed to be unconscious. Once a bottle was done, I took out another one and made him glug it.
"What are you fools doing?!? RESTRAIN HIM!" The old guy kept yelling.
"Calm down Lenard! I understand that as a Royal Secretary, you have a reason to be mad, but can you not see the king is looking much better?" After being reprimanded by the queen who was next to him, he stopped talking but he still had a dark expression on his face.

Once the bottle of Healing Potion was empty, I took the Purify Potion out.
A small bottle with a drop of purple liquid was in it. Without wasting anymore time, I opened the tube and poured the drop into the king's mouth.
After appraising him a couple times, the poisoned status had disappeared from his status window.
Only then, did I have the leisure to loosen up a bit. Just as I finished the procedure of overdosing the king with healing pots, the sky started to darken intensely.
A voice from afar struck like thunder. "The king is dead! Long live the king!" It was loud enough to jolt awake the king who was sprawled on the chair.
He looked around the VIP room for a while until focusing his cold gaze on the old guy next to the queen. "Royal Secretary Lenard. For poisoning your king, an act of treason, I sentence you to lifetime imprisonment... in h*ll!"
