she didn't expect Nick to end things with her the way he just did, she had never thought of hating anyone but right there hatred was the only feeling she thought she could feel for Nick
it was already past 10pm and she was still up thinking about what had happened earlier, she loved him deeply like her life depends on it
her life really depended on the love they shared, she didn't have good luck with finding love, her life had a meaning when she found Nick
she had been in and out of relationships before but none of it pained her like how pained she feels at Nick's case, he was everything every woman would want in a man
where had she gone wrong? isn't she good enough? isn't she beautiful enough? all these thought clouded her mind as she lay there on her bed
"I don't care" she thought to Herself, Nick had no right!!! whatever his reasons are I won't hear it from him, it was then at few minutes past twelve that sleep came crawling in and in a jiffy she was far gone

Nick left star hall almost immediately Thelma left, he went straight to his home, took his bath as he was extremely exhausted from the day's stress, he was still having his bath when he began regreting what he had just done, he didnt want to do it, he hadn't plan on ending things with her, he was already planning on taking her home to see his mother and making her his wife but he had no choice he had to obey mother, that was his father's last instruction before he passed on
the accident that claimed his father's life was really a fatal one, he was all dressed going to one of his board meetings when all of a sudden a tractor which wasn't in sight swept his car from the ground making it tumble a couple of times before coming to a halt
he was called and was shocked when he heard the news, he quickly rushed to the hospital where the caller had told him his father was taken to
on getting there, he met the doctor who told him the accident did more damage to his heart and he has few hours left to live, he proceeded to see him, tears ran down his cheek as he saw his father in excruciating pains, he managed to speak when he saw Nick and and his words were......."always obey your mother, she wants the best for you" thereafter he gave up the ghost, those were his last words
his father was really one of the greatest source of inspiration to him, he considered him an angel and a mentor so he promised to heed to his last words and obey mother even if he knew mother wasn't completely someone to listen to, she took decisions for all her children and didn't think of the implications it had on them
he wanted so badly to let Thelma know what really happened at the vacation but she didn't give any listening ears to him, maybe she was too hurt to listen to whatever crap he wanted to say, "she would blame me the more for not standing up to mother for their love" he thought to himself but she deserves an explanation, should I just forget about her and do as mother says? no I can't, that would mean I didn't care about her
he really did care after all, Thelma was the only woman he had ever truly loved, he never thought he would find a woman as good as Thelma. now that he has, mother seemed not to understand she cared only for herself and the family business
he thought of Thelma the whole night
he had met her in a shopping mall on a weekend, he was collecting groceries when his phone rang
he bowed his head to get the phone from his Pocket, he wasn't looking straight, Thelma who was chasing a thief who took her phone and ran off, suddenly bumped into Nick
she was on her way to the floor from the terrible hit when Nick caught her by the waist
his eyes met Hers and he didn't want to take off his gaze as what he saw was one of the most Beautiful sight, plus she looked really familiar
she brought him back to consciousness with a light slap on his cheek, "help me get the thief" she screamed pointing to the man who had already gotten to the entrance door of the mall, she blamed him for letting the thief go with her phone
he was trying to calm her down but all to no avail, she was about leaving angrily when he asked "sorry please what's your name"
she turned back all the more angry "you dare ask for my name after what you've just done" such temerity!!! she gave him an angry disapointing look before leaving him there
he had told himself he would get her eventually, he got her name from the cashier and also the description of the place where she works. "Sam's pizza place" he said to himself smiling and nodding his head
he bought a new phone the next day, packaged it with flowers of rose and apologised about the other day in a letter. with it, he added his complimentary card indicating that she called him and sent it to Sam's pizza place through one of his staffs
no one would resist such kind gesture he thought to himself as he smiled
he was still in his office at about 4:13pm when his phone rang, he didn't want to pick up the phone as he was really busy with work something prompted him to pick up and when he did, to his greatest surprise it was Thelma, he could tell from her voice "hello" she greeted "you sent me a gift"
on hearing that, his lips formed a curve, it was a smile, "yes I did" and am really sorry for what happened the other day please accept it as a token
"no problem" she replied
am really grateful you replaced the phone, I was already thinking of how to get a new one, thanks again
"alright then, am at work and really busy at the moment please would you like to have dinner with me later today"?? he decided to ask her out
"dinner"?? she asked in reply
yes, dinner 6pm please come
after giving it a thought she agreed "he's just a man he won't bite" she thought to herself
"alright then, that would be great"
send me your address I'll be there
"okay" he said happily as he hung up the call
he immediately sent her his house address and anticipated her coming, he immediately went back to what his doing 6pm it was he said to himself.......
