The meeting

We went into the restaurant and started packing the food. While Nora began making lunch for the customers, I went to clean the tables and chairs. Everything had to be neat. I still wonder who the important person will be.

"Hey Nora, are you sure it's okay for me to be here when the priest's daughter arrives?"

"Hmm, you are going to take her to a table. Just act normal and do what I told you. Everything will be okay. I have known her for years."

**I hope so. I don't want to have problems with a priest at the moment..**

Everything was ready, and now we just need to wait for customers.

*Smack*

"O-ouch, what was that for??"

"Are you deaf, Salvor? I told you to get the big table from the warehouse!"

"Sorry... I forgot that.."

*Smack*

"So go get the table !"

In the warehouse

"Sometimes, Nora can be mean. She looks like my neighbour... always scolding me ... damn old lady."

"Do I look old to you?"

"Yes, you..."

*Slap*

"You better start working, or I will start beating you."

"Alright.."

**...Didn't know she was behind me...I'm so unlucky.**

I took the table inside. The table was round and made of dark wood, it looked like a royal table, as I saw in the library books. Now everything is ready. My job was not complicated, and I had to meet people at the door. Take them to a table and serve them. However, Nora said that today, I had to go on the road and wait for the particular client. The city was always full of life. There were shops in the middle of the main streets, people in restaurants, bars etc. However, underneath this enchanted garden, there is a dark area full of misery and crimes. Slaves, homicides, anti-church groups, pro-church groups that do justice for themselves, guards that are corrupt.

**Still... a lot of people just want to live free without any problems.**

A carriage came in the distance. Two white horses came to pull the carriage that appeared to be made of some gold-plated metal. It was coming towards me. It was probably the person we are waiting for. I prepared to greet her, straightened up, stood in front of the door and waited for the carriage to stop. At the front came a man with a monocle and a black hat. He was the one driving.

"Miss, we just arrived."

The door opened, and two guards came out, a man and a woman. Just behind, a girl came out, wearing a white dress that reached her feet. Curly blond hair, blue eyes like the ocean reflecting the sky. And with a bright and sweet smile, she said.

"Thank you, Sebastian, you can go now."

"It is always a pleasure lady crystal. Have a good lunch."

With what appears to be a small whip, the man hit the horses and went on his way.

**I should greet them...**

"It is a pleasure to welcome you. My name is Salvor, and I am the new worker at this restaurant."

She looked at me. Her smile didn't change. However, the guards looked at me as if they wanted to kill me if I made a mistake.

"Please follow me. I will take you to your table."

Upon entering the cafe, Nora was in front of the entrance.

"Crystal, you look beautiful. I haven't seen you in a long time."

"Nora, I missed you so much. Why have you never revisited me?"

**It looks like they have a past.**

"Many problems came at bad times. But now you are here, right? I'll make you your favourite dish."

"I am grateful for the generosity."

**Rich people do have another way of speaking.**

I took them to the table. Everything was going smoothly. The only problem was the guards. They were always looking at me. The pressure their eyes were putting on was not something I was used to. I looked towards the kitchen, and Nora was looking at me. She made a sign ... I didn't quite understand. But it must be telling me to calm down.

"Boy, how much longer are you going to be sitting next to Mrs Crystal?"

"I'm sorry, I was hoping Crystal needed something."

"Huh? How dare you call lady Crystal just by her name? Miss, do you want me to kill this foolish boy?"

"I-I didn't mean it, I'm sorry."

**I'm so dead...*

"It was a small mistake, why do you always have to be so strict, Laura?"

"But...Miss.."

"The conversation is over."

"Thank you, Miss Crystal.."

Nora came out of the kitchen with a cart with plates full of food. I took all the dishes and spread them on the table.

"I heard some noise coming from here, did something happen?"

The Guard looked towards Nora and said.

"Your Slave mistreated Mrs Crystal. He deserves to be whipped until he learns to respect other people."

Nora looked at me and grabbed my shoulder.

"Is she telling the truth, Salvor?"

"It's not like that. It was just a small mistake.."

*Slap*

"I told you, Laura. It is nothing for so much confusion. May it be the last time you do something like this in front of me."

"I'm sorry, Miss."

"I'm sorry, Nora, My guard, was rude."

"There is no problem in that Crystal."

**Finally the tension calmed**

"The food looks phenomenal, sit with me, Nora. Let's eat together. You too, Salvor."

I sat next to Nora, let her serve me ... I was too nervous.

"Where did you find this Slave Nora? He's handsome and has some etiquette."

** Slave...?**

"He is not a slave. He is my friend. We met a week ago."

"Hm, Salvor. What family do you come from?"

"Why so many questions Crystal?"

**Good job old woman**

Nora looked at me with an irritated look.

**HUH? Did she hear me? I didn't even talk, is she a witch?**

"Just out of curiosity, I apologize if I was rude."

She looked at me with a charming smile.

**There is no way that she is the priest daughter... She seems so innocent and sweet**
