A Unique Skill

Grilling two giant carp fish near the lake, Zelenia brought out the lunch she and Luna had prepared.

"Hi, kids! How are the fish?"

"They are almost done grilling, mommy!" Aisha cheerfully responds.

"Wow. That looks tasty!" Zelenia commended the fish. In the city, fish and other seafood are costly. But the kids love it, so she often still buys crabs, prawns, and tasty salmon for their lunch and weekend special meal.

"I have an idea, mommy!" Janus exclaimed. "Lionel and I will fish tomorrow and bring what we catch home!"

"That's a brilliant idea, honey! We must clean them first, and then Luna can preserve their freshness," Zelenia agreed delighted by the enthusiasm her children have been showing. She joined Aisha on the picnic blanket, watching the fish grilling.

The children now think and understand things far beyond their ages. She knew that they were special and possessed enormous power. Still, it surprises her. At the same time, she is proud of their brilliance, although part of her feels sorry that they grew up without a father.

Her children are wonderful; they even defended her when other parents gossiped about her. That touched her heart to the bottom. She cannot contend with how much she loves her kids. What is best for them, what she will do for them…

"They're done!" Janus announced excitedly.

Sora carefully set one fish on the big platter she created using her magic to fit the giant fish. And then, Zelenia prepared the spices to make a sauce.

She learned how to make an Asian sauce: a mix of soy sauce, vinegar, chilies, onions, a few cloves of garlic, and some slices of ginger, and then she also added lemon juice and one tablespoon of honey. The kids loved it.

Luna now followed them outside, bringing desserts and refreshments she prepared. She placed them on the table when she noticed Lionel, who was about to bite the whole fish.

"Hey!" Lionel screamed. Suddenly, he felt like his tooth was pulled out from his gums. "Luna!" he yells at her as she turns the fish into ice.

"Why are you eating the whole fish?" she questioned him.

"What? This body needs a full serving!" Lionel breathed fire to heat the fish, but Luna froze it again. "Hey!"

Lionel prepares to breathe fire, but Luna raises her hand, and snow crystals twirl on her hand. But suddenly, they float in the air.

"Ehhh?" Lionel hugs the fish when he drifts away and cannot move above the lake.

"Sora, what are you doing?" Luna asked impatiently. It upset her to be with Lionel inside the same cage Sora forged using her wind magic. Using the water from the lake, combined with her wind magic, she builds a cage and locks them up.

"Enough! Both of you!" Sora sat up from the bench. "You were acting like kids! You know you both are older than I am! Isn't it embarrassing to be lectured by someone younger than you?"

"Humph!" Lionel and Luna turned their heads in the opposite direction.

"Whoa. What did you do, Sora?"

Janus and Aisha saw when Lionel and Luna's magic disappeared.

"Sora is the only one with this ability in the entire Celestial Universe. Everyone feared this skill, the Cancellation Magic," Zelenia explains to her kids.

"Cancellation Magic? What is that, mommy?" Janus asked.

"It is magic that could repeal any magic power. The Grand Elders of the Celestial Universe called it the Cancellation Magic."

"Oh, I understand now! Sora, your family was murdered because you have special magic!" Aisha concluded.

"That's right, honey. They feared the Peacock's ability, and no one foresaw that a secret council was formed and plotted to annihilate the Clan of Wind if they could not put a Mark of Slavery on them."

"But you saved them, Mama?" There is hope in Aisha's eyes.

"I was late," she replied sadly, then went on. "The ritual to summon me through a special prayer was performed when everyone in the Clan was slaughtered. Her mother summoned me and had already stopped breathing when I arrived."

"Oh, Sora!" Aisha jumps to hug her familiar.

"Do not worry, princess. I cannot change the fate of my Clan. But I look at the bright side. It was a blessing that I lived. Now I met you, and it is the happiest moment of my life." Sora realizes. She covers her mouth. "Oh! Forgive me, Priestess! I sound like the one who gave birth to the princess." Sora blushes.

" I don't mind at all." Zelenia gleams, "I am happy you love my daughter so much."

Zelenia winks at this obedient familiar. Honestly, she is the quiet and mature one among the familiars she lives with... but they are all dear to her and so helpful when she gave birth to twins.

"Thank you, Priestess. It was actually the other way around," Sora said.

The priestess has been like her mother since she came out of the eggshell. The priestess is so kind to her! All she could feel was the need to return her kindness with love and caring for what was most important to her, the Pristess' children.

"Oh, well. Let's share the food with everyone." Sora said and released Lionel and Luna, who were actually sharing a fish now.

They unconsciously ate the fish together while listening to the children and the Priestess telling Sora's history. Luna blushed and flew toward them, seating herself beside Sora.

As for Lionel, he eats the rest of the fish in one bite.

Zelenia quietly observes her children and the three familiars and decides to purchase a lodge to stay in during weekends to train the twins.

'It is best.' Luna speaks to her.

'Let's dig some gold tonight, ' she winked at Luna.

'Finally! And after that, you need a car. We shouldn't rent every time we come here.'

'I understand, and I might do that. But everyone will surely wonder about me having a brand-new car.'

'So what? It's not like you will rob a bank to live a luxurious life, and you can actually be richer than your boss if you dig the hidden treasures on this planet. After you dig everything, you can stop working under a mortal, and you will be treated highly!'

'There's no need, Luna. Besides, living in luxury is not a good idea. People will question me where my fortune came from, and they already think I have a wealthy boyfriend.'

'Jeez. Despicable mortals! Let me punish them!'

Zelenia holds back a laugh. Luna is always concerned about her being thought of poorly by mortals, but there is no need to punish them; instead, they should just be ignored.

'All right. Let's enjoy the food, and let's not think negatively!' She encourages her familiarity.

They continue having lunch. Though Luna and Sora mostly just ate the vegetable salad and fruits, the kids and Zelenia unexpectedly ate half of the fish, and Lionel finished with what they left.

"Mommy, I want to ask this if it is okay." Janus voices out, and he is too curious and keen to inquire.

"Sure, honey. What is it?"

"It is about Sora's power, mommy. Does it mean she could also repeal your energy?"

Zelenia did not expect one of her kids to ask her about this. She is prepared to teach them anything, but Janus now shows how enthusiastic he is to learn everything, which gladdened her.

"About that…"

"Priestess, allow me to answer the master's query," Lionel offered.

"Please, Lionel. Thank you," she nods. Her lips purse into a warm smile. The familiar was such a big help in explaining things to her children.

Lionel bowed before he spoke.

"Master Janus, Princess Aisha... Sora's power does not affect the Priestess, making her unique!"

"Wow!" Janus and Aisha stared in awe at their mother, and they hugged her and marveled at how amazing she was.

She is a Priestess! And she also possessed a power that was beyond comparison.

"Mommy, what is it?" Janus asked Zelenia when she lifted her head and glanced behind her. Janus followed the direction his mother was looking for.

"We have company," she warned the familiars.

"Who are they? How can they feel us?" asked Lionel, posing and preparing to fight. He stretched his wings wide in preparation to release several blades once they got through the magic barrier.

"At ease, Lionel. I don't think they are an enemy."

"What are they, Priestess?" Sora asked.

"They are the ones who are the first dwellers of this planet. The Fallen Angels... or also known as Elves."
