-Five years before the containment breach on site-14-

I moved here to site-14 with my daughter Avaline who was a great scientist and engineer. We were task to study SCP-001 find a way to contain it if not outright destroy it. SCP-001 shows signs of another source of energy for humanity. But some study indicates that it messes people mind and give them; headache, paranoia, insomnia, hallucination, and dementia. And our alien friends told us the dangers of SCP-001 is too much for understanding to use it. Our foreign friends said to us that we were not the only ones who wanted to use this as another way of a clean energy source. There were more advanced civilizations out in the stars that were wipe out an existence in a mere century because of SCP-001. The artifact initially came from the Yucatán Peninsula, southeast Mexico. One of the illuminate members found the object as they were studying the cause of the extinction of the dinosaurs in Mexico. It turns out SCP-001 was one of the reasons for the disappearance of the dinosaurs 66 million years ago.

(A/N: for the people who already guessed on what is SCP-001. It not the original black SCP-001 but the smaller red variant of SCP-001; the reason that I didn't call it by its name is that when I tried to searched how the name came to be it. The name did not have an origin but was the name created from the mind-controlled people. This artifact is in the range of object collecting like your typical adventure movie but horror because I hate EA at what they have done to one of my favorite games on there third game and closing down the studio that made it. This is my spin on the game we once loved and played. If you are offended of me tainting the game story, then don't read this fanfic as you might not like what you will learn after this arc. The illuminate hid away the Black SCP-001 and gave the 'fake' copy of SCP-001 to the SCP foundation, and the SCP thinks it's the real thing. I have also wanted to provide you with some minor spoiler. I have not killed off all the dinosaur, all they are in the cretaceous period if you wanted to be specific. I have started bench watching Ice Age and liked the idea of dinosaurs being alive somewhere on the earth waiting for humanity to discover them. The Director of site-14 is a man of many achievements. He advanced neural surgery and made it public for everyone on the earth to this day they still use. Avaline and I have been working hard on creating a breakthrough on how to destroy SCP-001. We found out that SCP-001 has a built-in A.I. in which Avaline wanted to study and make her artificial intelligent. I keep reminding her not to get too close to the object. Because SCP-001 can affect the mind of humans and aliens alike, it is placed underground the facility 100 level bellow Antarctica. The first ten levels of site-14 are the residential area of thousands of people, android, and aliens. Healthy humans and aliens have access to only level 80 before we get hallucinations. Only the Illuminate and androids go bellow sometimes there are higher ranking. Scientists like me who go down and study SCP-001.

A couple of months working here, I found out the most disturbing thing that is happening in this facility. All the higher level scientists have fanatical tendencies on experimenting on live humans that they said that are prisoners. Dr. Shou has found out that there is a mysterious genetic code along the side written in an ancient alien language on SCP-001 that might cure any kind of disease, and cancer that plague many people. But because I never saw the object and I don't dear go anywhere near it, I can't confirm Dr. Shou's theory. But Dr. Shou did not back down and have been experimenting on live human with a scary smile on his face. I don't know where he got all of his 300 test subjects I even doubted him on using innocent people for his experiments. But I didn't bother doing anything about it. As long as he didn't do anything to my family and me, but I never realized I would come to regret my decision to stop them on time.
