I nod, understanding all their weapons. I close my eyes and lower my head, trying to formulate a full plan on how to use everyone to their maximum usefulness. I also try to see what Grim is seeing, and to my surprise, he's flying over a massive army. His strength being mutually shared amongst them.
So, it will most likely take Grim a day to fly here, unless he's conserving energy for now. I should account for a change in his speed as well just in case he gets here far earlier than I predict. He seems to be deceptively fast In Nevereth's memories, easily able to cross oceans in a day. If he is serious on getting here, he may be able to get here within the next eight hours.
After several seconds, I feel as though I've got a fairly good plan for engaging with Grim's army. I look around, noticing most people's gazes falling on me. I nod and speak up.
"If I am doing the math correctly, the soonest Grim should be here is in eight hours. Meaning, we need to get the army set up at the far eastern coast. That's the fastest route to Sathric, and knowing his rage, he won't to delay any. By what I can tell, he's about to start moving this way."
Ayvex nods, then looks towards the portal. I look over as well and notice people still funneling through. The army is now easily approaching over sixty-thousand people.
"By what I can tell, our army already surpasses his in quantity, but his army is also mutually sharing a fraction of his strength. Every member of Grim's forces is on par with an S-Rank adventurer. We will need: all the mages to cast buffs on our army, share any magical gear that we can, and for everyone to be fully prepared."
As I finish speaking Ayvex speaks up, her voice booming around us.
"Listen, we will only have one fight! This battle will most likely be fought in waves, if we can hold out, then we should be able to take Grim down as a united front. If I know him like I believe I do, he is hoping to cull the weak and leave the strong for himself to destroy."
I nod in response agreeing with Ayvex. She speaks up.
"Other continents soldiers, please send your top soldiers forward for me to give instructions to for the upcoming battle."
I look to her and notice her looking down to me. She speaks more quietly, so only near people hear her.
"Sorry Dante, I'll discuss the battle plans with the other leaders, I have far more experience at combat and war than you. You are welcome to join, but I'd rather you create a mass Teleportation spell to take us the eastern coast. If Grim does arrive in eight hours, we want to hold the coastline, since he can't use his flames while over the ocean."
I nod, understanding what she's saying. Before I can speak back up, she smiles.
"But I will reinforce the ideas you put forward because they weren't too bad. But we have many different fighters. And the other countries have their own technologies, fighting styles, and ideas for mass combat. We have to take all variables into account, because one bad slip up, and we may all die. "
I give a thumbs up as I see several people from each continent start approaching. I quickly turn away and start thinking up how to create a mass teleportation spell. Within seconds, an idea comes to mind.
"What if create two link points? Then, much like the portals between continents, people could just walk through the gate and come out the other side?"
I pause for a moment before nodding.
"Well, I don't see why it wouldn't work."
I notice Elith's group, and the other members of my guild go with Ayvex as she flies a little way away to talk to them. I quickly get started, imbuing the ground with magic.
"This will be a multi-stage spell, using several different spells to combine into one. First, I will make the anchors for the bridge. Next, I'll create a link between them, then all I have to do is just create a spell to teleport between tethered anchors."
I pop my knuckles and get started, immediately creating several spells. I put my hand to the ground and use [Anchor 10]. I quickly teleport to the other side of the continent and find a large area away from the beach to set the other Anchor. After setting it, I use another new spell [Tether 10]. I place it within the newly created anchor and teleport back without releasing [Tether 10]. As I reappear at the other anchor, I imbue it with the Tether as well. Finally, I use the third spell, [Teleport Link] to connect the two Anchors.
I sigh, feeling a wave of exhaustion from the far linking of the teleporter. With a deep breath, I test it, quickly stepping onto the anchored ground. In the blink of an eye, I appear at the eastern coast. I jump into the air, happy that the multi-level spell worked the way it was intended. With that success, I walk back onto the anchored ground and teleport back to the army instantly. I quickly teleport to Ayvex, seemingly in the middle of their battle talks. She looks to me confused and I give a quick thumbs up. She speaks up.
"Wait, you already finished the teleporter?"
"Yea, it was just a simple multi-level spell across the continent."
Elith chuckles as Azeroth nods. A man in shiny black and silver armor, melded with his flesh, steps towards me, and speaks up.
"As the lead General for Vathric, I'm amazed by your skills and lethality. I would wish to remain allies after this battle is done."
"Lethality?"
I ask, confused by what he means. He quickly replies.
"You are the one who wiped out hundreds of our guards, correct?"
I pause then nervously laugh.
"Well... not quite."
