Imposter

(At the same time, Hyerim Hospital)

Inside the office, a white coat was placed over a chair. A man was busying himself through some paperwork. He ran his fingers through his black hair frustratedly before he finally drew back from his work. He closed his tired eyes as he leaned back against the couch. The late nights were finally catching up to him.

Amidst his rest, suddenly there were noises coming from the corridor outside. Min Jae knitted his eyebrows in irritation though his eyes still remained close. However, when a loud bang came next, Min Jae's eyes flew open immediately and glared at the intruder. Yet, upon noticing who it was, his eyes softened.

"Babe, why are you here and what's with the rush?" he asked.

Eun hye smiled as she placed his lunch on the table Then she happily told him, "Guess what? I have a surprise for you."

Min Jae got up from his seat and went to hug her from behind. He rested his head on her shoulder, breathing in her scent. "Hmm...you plan a romantic dinner for me?"

"No."

He kissed her nape and continued to ask, "A sexy night at a hotel?"

Eun Hye blushed and hit him lightly which granted her a series of laughter.

"You ah...be serious for a bit," Eun Hye shyly chided him.

However, Min Jae continued to hug her and buried his face deeper into the curve of her neck. "This feels so good," he sighed into her ear.

Eun Hye turned her head slightly and land a kiss on his cheek. "Okay, stop. Let's eat your food before it turns cold."

"Noo..." he whined. "This is how I recharge my energy."

Eun Hye's cheek turned pink again when she heard him said that. However, all love and happiness coloring her face soon came crushing down at Min Jae's next sentence.

"I love you, Shu Hwa."

In that instance, Eun hye's eyes flashed with pain and anger. Min Jae felt the change in Eun Hye when her body suddenly tensed up. He glanced only to see her pursed lips and a plain flat face.

"Babe?" Min Jae carefully probed, "Shu Hwa?"

Eun Hye slowly inhaled as she bit back her anger. She forced herself to smile just like how she had been doing for five years. She tried to execute her sister's every action and done so perfectly. But still, she couldn't help it whenever she heard him spoke of those three words.

Always... even now.

Min Jae turned her around and kissed her with so much care and tenderness. After that, he said, "Shu Hwa, I love you so much babe. I'm so glad that I met you."

It was like a thousand daggers raining on her heart. It pained her and infuriated her at the same time. Eun hye really envied her sister's luck, to meet this handsome God, one of the richest people in the country when she was going through her plastic surgery.

She hated it whenever Min Jae's eyes looked at her in the face because then, it reminded her who he was looking at. No one knew how much she wanted to hear him call her "Eun Hye", but she knew he would love no one other than her sister.

So, no matter how she felt, she had to endure these grievances in order to keep him.

Eun Hye smiled lovingly as she wrapped her arms around his neck. She whispered, "You need to treat me, later."

After that, she placed a ticket on his hand. Min Jae looked at her confusedly. But as soon as he turned it over and read the content, his eyes shone in excitement. He even lifted her and twirled her around.

Eun Hye gasped in surprise. "You really do love her, huh?"

"Babe, you have no idea how much I wanted to meet my favorite author. She's really amazing and her writings bring so much emotion out of me. She started off as a small writer but soon, emerged as a successful author. I just knew she would reach high one day."

Eun Hye watched as her beloved blabbered on happily. She sighed as she reminded him again, "Okay, now eat your food. The meet and greet is only tomorrow, so it can wait but not the food."

Min Jae happily nodded and directly moved to the table to eat.

After his lunch, Eun Hye went home and Min Jae dived back to his work. He was slowly getting focused when, for the second time, his door opened with a bang.

He exhaled angrily as he looked at the intruder. "What are you doing here?"

"My, my! Is this how you welcome your friend?

"Weren't you supposed to arrive tomorrow?" Min Jae harshly asked his friend.

"Aww... look at you so happy to see your best friend."

Min Jae rolled his eyes. "Whatever... How come you came early?"

"I got news that you miss me." He winked his eyes flirtatiously then.

Min jae glanced at him indifferently and asked, "Can you be serious?"

Hae Chan sighed as he flopped down on the couch across Min Jae's desk. "Running away."

"Ah.. your dad is at it again, huh?"

Hae Chan nodded.

"Why don't you just tell him?"

Hae Chan dramatically put his hand over his heart as his eyes flashed in pain, "Do you not want me anymore?"

"Could you be serious for few minutes?"

"Okay..."

Min Jae pinched his glabella in frustration but glared at him, when he heard him say, "Few minutes."

Suddenly Hae Chan rubbed his chin as he said, "I saw something weird today."

Min jae sarcastically responded, "What? someone asked you out?"

"No..no.. I'm all yours." Hae Chan waved his hands in front of his face as he denied vigorously. Meanwhile, Min Jae acted like he gagged when he heard him. Hae Chan rolled his eyes at his friend's exagerrated move. However, he brought up the important topic in the next moment.

"I saw Shu Hwa at the airport, hugging a guy."

"What?" Min Jae raised his eyebrow at him.

"Yeah...she was there with a guy who was very intimate with her."

"Are you crazy? Look, I know you don't like her but trust me, when you meet her, you will come to like her."

Hae Chan shook his head at this idiot who was head over heels in love. He didn't know why but, he hated Shu Hwa the moment he met her through a video call with Min Jae. Something about her irked him the wrong way.

"I'm not accusing her. I really did see her there."

"Dude, she was with me for lunch and just left like ten minutes ago."

"What?!" Hae Chan exclaimed in surprise.

"Yeah, so you must have seen someone else."

Hae Chan nodded absentmindedly but within him, he knew that he saw her. His instinct strongly believed that he was right.

'Hmm... Something's fishy,' he thought deep down.

(Trimage Apartment, Seongsu-dong)

Eun Hye was reading a book when Min Jae had stepped out from the shower. He only had a towel wrapped around his waist showing off his toned abs. His black hair was still wet with water dripping down to his body. Eun Hye gulped subconsciously as she studied this scene.

Even though they had been married for five years, Eun Hye couldn't help but drool over her husband's figure. Min Jae smirked as he noticed her gawking at him hungrily.

"Do you want it, babe?"

She gasped and immediately hid her face behind the book. She closed her eyes embarrassedly when she heard him chuckling. But, not even a minute later, Eun Hye brought down her book and pouted at him. Min Jae hadn't stopped chuckling, in fact, it had now turned to laughter.

Min Jae threw his towel at her and asked ambigously, "Aren't you taking a bath?"

Eun Hye looked at the clock and was surprised to find it near midnight. She gushed, "Shit! It's already this late." She hurriedly took her clothes and the towel he threw at her. Afterwards, she headed towards the bathroom but not before she asked him, "Wanna join me?"

Min Jae kissed her cheek and said, "Not today babe. I have some more work to complete."

"You are always busy," she complained.

"I know, I know! We will go for a vacation as soon as I'm done with this." He promised her and whispered in her ear, "If I didn't have any work, you know I wouldn't have rejected your offer, right?"

She blushed as she playfully pushed him away and hurried into the washroom. After a while, Eun Hye walked out in her bathrobe and sighed when she saw her beloved laying down on bed, browsing.

"Are you reading it again, babe?"

He smiled as he watched his wife changing into her nightdress, "You just don't get it, right? Bluebell is amazing, like one among the best writers we have. I don't get how she could bring out those emotions – pain, heartbreak, so beautifully. I wish I own a publishing company, just so I can recruit her and place her in an esteemed position."

Eun Hye nodded her head as she leaned against his chest. She then listened to her husband's umpteenth description of his favorite author. At this point, she was no longer surprised at her beloved fangirling over an author. Wait, not fangirling, perhaps the right term was fanboying?

She smiled. "Then I'm glad that you loved my surprise."

He hugged her closer and kissed her forehead. "Yes babe, I loved it… only you know what I want. I love you so much, Shu Hwa."

That name repulsed her so much that she instantly kissed him hard to hide the anger in her eyes. Min Jae held her tightly and bit her lips making her gasped. Afterwards, he pushed his tongue in and began tasting her lips.

Min Jae pinned her beneath him as both of them fought for control but as he was about to push up her nightdress, she stopped him. He looked at her, panting and heard her say the unforgivable words, "My aunt has come to visit me."

He groaned loudly. He flopped to the bed and complained, "Babe, then don't arouse me. Did I do something to make you punish me?"

She looked his gentle eyes filled with love for her.. no.. for Shu Hwa and it made her close her eyes. After few seconds, she opened them and the pretentious smile bloomed returned to her face again "I'm sorry but you can't blame me for being charmed by you."

He chuckled. He kissed her forehead before tucking her.

"I will go take a cold shower now but once your aunt's visit is over, you will have to stay in bed for a day."

Eun Hye smiled as she watched him enter the washroom in grief.

'It's fine, Eun Hye. He is yours and you've got everything in your hands. Nothing will go wrong.'
