Chapter 25- The Devil has set his eyes

The Limousine, along with furious Edward, concerned Maria and culpable feeling Aleina entered the Roberts Mansion following after which, they all alighted from the limo.

As they entered the living area of the Mansion, Edward stopped both the ladies by speaking in his usual stoic voice which was laced with an underlying distress,

"Aleina, I am not mad at you okay? It's just that I am angry with myself that I wasn't able to protect you. I need to talk to your sister so go to your room and get some rest. Goodnight!"

After hearing Edward's words, Aleina was welled up with emotions of guilt. She was afraid of this to happen where Edward would hold himself responsible therefore; she decided to talk to Edward tomorrow as she knew that he won't listen to her reasoning right now.

Thus, she bid him goodnight in a meek, compliant tone and ascended to the stairs leading to her room.
