I woke up the next morning, peaking my eyes open at the bright light coming through the window. Groaning, I laid there looking at the ceiling and thinking of the night before. I took in a deep breath smelling Michael on the sheets. He smelled so good. Wait a minute... I scanned the room realizing somehow I had gotten back to my room. I figured I would have woken up in Chase's room. Strange... Had Chase brought me back up here after our shower last night? Oh crap! What time was it?
I hopped out of bed feeling like I should have been up hours ago. The more I thought about it the more I came to realize I couldn't remember the last time I had slept in, if ever...
Michael's shirt was off of me in seconds as I threw it in the hamper. If I had missed Beth's cooking this morning I was going to be pissed. I could just moan thinking about the crisp bacon she fried up. My wolf salivated with me. I must have worked up some crazy appetite from last night.
With new motivation I ran in the bathroom working quickly to brush out my tangled hair. If I hadn't fallen asleep so quickly last night then I could have prevented this from happening by combing through it after I showered. Ugh! The comb got stuck on this knot and that. After much care the brush was going straight through each strand without a hitch. Where was Logan when I needed him?
My hands worked fast to do a simple side braid. Logan would be disappointed for sure. Once my hair was somewhat presentable though I ran to the closet. I flung the doors open and stood. Here we go again trying to find a loose fitting outfit. Not dwelling on each piece for very long I went for a simple yellow sun dress. It looked loose enough. That will do! Over my head it went and then I was rushing for the bedroom door.
I almost ran straight into Eric as I bounded out the door. The one person I could go all day avoiding might I add. Skittering to a halt inches from his chest I looked up to see his scowl. I will not submit to him and I will not apologize I told myself. My wolf wanted to growl but I worked extremely hard to restrain my instincts. Not looking away I slowly maneuvered myself around him then took off again. Food was the only thing I would focus on right now.
