They were driving for a few days already. They didn't have any food anymore, so they were planning on stopping by a village soon.
Though, it happened sooner then they expected.
„Look! I think there is one!", Lalya said as, as she pointed towards some houses, that became visible at the horizon.
After riding for another 40 minutes, they reached the town. It was bigger than they expected.
„Ay, you Woman! Whatcha doin' here?", a guard asked, walking towards them.
„We are on our way to the mountains. We only want to gather some food and rest a bit here.", Layla said. Cornelius and Tristan were in the back, so the guard didn't know they were there.
„Don't ya know this is an awful place to rest. Y'know, This Place is near a big ol' Monument, so that place is getting patrolled by these unholy creatures. We try n' stay quiet and we ain't wanna disturb these fellas. I tell ya, go somewhere else.", the guard said.
Wondering, what the long wait was all about, Cornelius came to the front.
„What's keeping you so long, Layla?", he asked.
When the guard looked at him, his eyes widened.
„Ya not his highness Prince Cornelius, are ya? One moment your highness! I'll prepare the worthy entry for you!", the guard quickly got into his little guard house.
Then they heard a bell ring, and a few soldiers came to the guard house. After talking to the first guard, they made a line, and raised their swords in the air. One soldier with a red band around his right arm stepped forward.
„We greet his royal highness, second Prince Cornelius!", he shouted and bowed. So did all the other soldiers too.
They were being escorted to the town hall, where the mayor greeted them.
„It's an honour to meet you, your highness! Please follow me inside!"
They went to a dining hall, where some maids quickly prepared some plates and cutlery.
„Your highness, with all due respect, I do not think that you should be here.", the Mayor seemed nervous, „this is a dangerous place. There are creatures here. Creatures, more powerful than anything you have ever saw!"
„Oh yeah, the guard told us something similar earlier.", Layla noticed.
„I'm thankful for your concern, but with Tristan here by my side, I think I'll be safe.", Cornelius said.
Then, some maids came into the room and brought some food. There was a big steak, some salad and a bit of fish.
„This looks tasty!", Layla said, while liking her lips.
„Well I'm glad! Enjoy!", the Mayor said.
They all took some food and wanted to eat it, when they heard a noise.
Sirens and alarms could be heard through the entire city. The mayors face turned pale.
„Quickly! Follow me!", he said, stood up from the table and rushed to a door. The other three quickly followed him, behind them the maids. They entered a staircase, leading downwards into a stone cellar. One of the maids closed the door behind them and gave the key to the mayor. Then they descended the staircase and entered the stone cellar, where another door was waiting. They opened and closed it. The cellar was a big room, filled with nothing but a big table and some food. It only had one lamp, wich barely was enough light for the room.
They waited for a bit, the sirens didn't turn of. But soon, they heard another sound, a sound wich, if you heard it once, you would never forget it. A sound, sending chills down your spine. Beeps, every beep was higher pitches than the one from before, until it stopped for short and then startet again.
„What is That Sound?", Cornelius asked.
The maids and mayor backed up against the rear wall. Tristan sensed danger, and placed himself next to the door, the next thing coming through this door would get a massive blow, with all his strength.
And not long after, they heard the sound again, and then, the door flew away. Something landed in the middle of the room, way to fast, for Tristan to react.
It looked like a man in a dark-grey camouflage uniform. Black gloves covered his hands and he was wearing an even darker bulletproof vest. As an helmet, the thing had a shining silver one, that covered his head entirely. And where the eyes should be, green circles, like night-vision goggles. An additional one was on his forehead, a bit higher than the other two.
It was then, when Tristan noticed something. These things should not exist. These things were from earth.
Though, the thing didn't leave him time to think, as the sound was hear again and it jumped at Tristan, like a crazy old Kung-Fu Master, from the Animes he knew from earth.
Rotating in the air, Tristan could see that it wanted to take him down with a kick, so he raised his arms in a defensive position, like boxers would do. And like he thought, the kick landed. Though it was hard, Tristan got knocked into the wall, it rippled and now there was a Tristan-Shape inside the wall.
He underestimated his opponent by very much. But still, Tristan went in for a hit. And he landed. Right onto the things chest, where, in the middle, was a green circle, that started glowing blue now. Then it turned off, just like all other green things on the attacker. Now, Tristan could clearly see some letters written on the right side of the things chest.
„SOTF", he said, „what's that?"
„SOTF? I think I heard from it before. Let me check.", Cornelius said. A ring on his finger started to glow and a book appeared infront of him. It was a big old book, and the pages turned by themselves.
When they stopped, the page had a few words written on them.
„SOTF, Special Offensive Task Force, is an elite commando of the angels. They are working directly under the four Arch-Angels themselves. They have high high defensive and even higher offensive skills. They are immune to magic, from a caster weaker then themselves. The only way to easily knock them out is unknown or classified.", Cornelius read, „oh, right. This is a book one of my ancestors managed to steal from the heavenly empire, where the angels live.", he explained, after seeing the people's confused faces.
But the battle wasn't over, as more sounds could be heard from outside. Tristan decided to go there. They would have to do it eventually.
When he stepped out on the street, about fifteen or fourteen more of these things turned towards him.
„Danger. Person of Interest found. Proceed with caution. Do not attack. Person is unknown. Origins are unknown.", one of the things stepped forward, it was glowing purple instead of green.
„Greetings, mortal. I am Zero. State your business here. Are you here because of the Energetic Mana crystals?", It asked.
„Uh. Hello Zero. I am not here because of crystals, no.", Tristan answered.
„Please state the location of 1.", Zero said.
„1? Who's that?", Tristan asked.
Something was going on inside those goggles. It looked like a camera-lens, focusing.
„We will now arrest you. Please do not resist.", Zero said.
The things surrounded Tristan, and Zero stepped forward. He was holding something in his hand.
It was a small black stick, not bigger than Zeros own hand.
With a quick movement, the small stick turned I to a bigger stick, with a small click.
Zero was slowly approaching Tristan, like a predator approaching his prey.
Then Tristan heard thirteen more clicks.
It seemed like talking was over.
