2. Rewinding some moments

That guy's name is Joe!"

Listening to this Lily got more surprised. Leaving her in shock Mark went away with that stupid grin. 

All the way home Lily thought of nothing else but of Joe.

Lily thought 'I don't even know that guy well. We are not even friends nor we talk in class. So how's this even possible. No this all is a joke this can't be true.'

Confused she just kept on comforting herself with 'No Lily, this is a joke!!'

But it didn't help as Mark was giving her the same old grin making her believe that he wasn't joking.

She just couldn't wrap her mind over this piece of information. She kept thinking of Joe. 

If any lasting impression of Joe she ever had it was from mid of previous year. 

When once their class teacher had  given them essays. And everyone had to say that essay out loud to the whole class. 

She remembered when it was Joe's turn she had listened to him speak very attentively. 

His use of words were really good!! It impressed her.  She remembered she had praised him for his vocabulary in her mind.

But After that there was no contact not even saying simple Hy!!

As she thought and thought suddenly she remembered another incidence where she came in little contact with him. 

It was like this--

When in the end of previous year she had really back cough and cold. Due to which her voice became so much gruff and many times she had even difficulty making herself heard.

At that time one of her friend and Joe both teased her so much all the time. Making fun of her. Annoying her all the time. That went for days.

As she immersed herself in all this.

Suddenly Lily felt that I don't even know him well nor are friends so how am I able to remember our talks so vividly. 

She just went on getting confused,

so she just commanded herself in her mind firmly!

'Okay! Enough Lily! stop thinking of him now.'

But still she felt so nervous to meet him tomorrow! Face him first time after knowing this . She felt so so nervous.
