Chapter 7 “ The SleepOver”
Jack had given me his phone number so I could call him if I needed anything and I gave him mine. I have yet to hear from him and my dad is so old fashioned, I think he would want him to call me to ask me out on a date, not the other way around. I looked at my friend and asked," Should I call him." she said "Yes! Call him. It is not the 1800's anymore." and at that we laughed. Audrea got up to leave and I looked at her and cocked my head. She said, ``Well, if I am going to stay the night then I do need to talk to my parents, and they like that kind of thing in person not mind link." we laughed again or parents are so old fashioned when it came to us asking for things.
As she opened the door she asked, "what are we going to watch tonight, so I can prepare the snacks." she knows me so well. Of course we do live in the same house and have been friends since birth. "A horror movie with popcorn and M&Ms in it to snack on any drink you like will be fine." I said rubbing my hands together. She just looked at me and said,"Ok, a romance and snacks I make sure I bring plenty of tissues." we both laughed. I yelled as she shut the door,"Invite Andrew too. We don't want him to feel left out." she said through the door, "Ok!" and bounced off.
Around 7 she came back into my room and said her parents had said ok, that a friend in need was more important and that they could reschedule the family night some other night. I was so glad. I asked where Andrew was and she said, " When I told him we were going to watch a romance movie he wussed out. He is such a baby when it comes to those things. I do not know what he thinks is going to happen." Ok, I thought I said it was a horror film." and laughed. She looked at me and answered, " Romance films are horror films they are more scary that actual horror movies." We laughed even harder. A knock on my door and it creaked open, " Is everyone decent?," we heard from her brother. I answered, "Yes but I thought you were not coming." Andrew answered back, " I did not tell my sister I was not coming, I am always game for a good horror film, and I know you. You really like your horror movies even the cheesy ones." As he walked in the room he held his hands over his eyes as we never did answer his question. Audrea and I just laughed so hard I almost fell out of my bed. "Andrew, you have no worries we are dressed." Laughing he uncovered his eyes and said, "Just being cautious."
We all got situated on my bed and turned on the projector show it would show on the wall. I have a big room and I left the wall at the foot of my bed blank so I can watch Tv when I want to. My parents installed the overhead projector when I turned 12 so I did not have to watch TV with them if I did not want to and so they did not have to watch my cartoons. I really love it. I can watch whatever I want and I do not have to have a computer monitor either I just show it on the wall.
" So what do you want Werewolves or Vampires." I asked. I know they always go for Vampires because all the movies about Werewolves are just a joke. " Vampires!" They both said in unison. "OK!" I said, "LIke I did not already know your were going to say that." " Then why did you ask if you already knew what we were going to say." "Well there is always a chance you might change your mind. Someday." At that we laughed. About that time a soft knock came to the door and a female voice said,"Snacks are ready, May I come in." We all said. "YES!" Mrs. Jones walked in pushing a cart loaded with popcorn and other goodies. The pop was as always diet. Even if we are wolves we still need to watch our calories. Andrew hopped off the bed and grabbed us all some popcorn and drinks and climbed back up. I hit the remote and started the movie.
It was an old black and white movie. I think one of the first ones out and I do not think we ever laughed so hard throughout the whole thing. All of the details were so off about Vampires. It felt so good to laugh and be with friends. I really enjoyed watching movies with them. It took my mind off of what was happening in the next few days.
As we watched movie after movie, I felt Andrew move closer to me. I don't know what was going through his mind but he put his arm around me and pulled me close. He then tried to kiss me and I slapped him. I pushed him off and stopped the movie that was playing at the time and just looked at him. He looked at me with pain in his eyes. I have not talked to him in a while so I do not know how he felt about me having to get married at so young an age.
I yelled," What do you think you are doing?" He looked at me and said, "I am so sorry, I do not know what came over me." " you know I am to be mated why would you do such a thing as try to kiss me, just gross." I said. Again he looked at me and his sister said, "Andrew, what is going on in that thick skull of yours." As we sat there on my bed, he got up and ran his hands through his long blond hair, "Well I just do not know, I have been trying not to show my feelings around you for so long. I guess my head just subconsciously took over and I just don't know. I have been in love with you for a while, but I knew that if I told you, you might push me away and I did not want to lose you as a friend." I just did not know how to answer him so I told him to leave my room. It was getting late anyway.
Audrea an I just sat there staring at the door. I just did not know what to say. I think that I was in shock. Audrea looked at me and said, "I did not want to say anything to you, but I suspected that something was brewing in his mind for a while now and he has been reluctant to go places with us as of late." " I have noticed that too, but just thought your dad was keeping him busy with training and other pack stuff. He is to take your dad's place on day. Right." I answered back. "Yes I guess he is lately I have been so busy with my mom I have not noticed what him and dad are doing." she replied. "Let's go to bed, this is giving me a headache." At that we turned off the projector and the lights and snuggled deep into my bed and drifted off to sleep.
As I slept I dreamt of what might happen. In my dream I started out flying as I was running over a green meadow. I then stopped at the waterfall where I proceeded to dive into a pool of water at the base of the waterfall. While I was standing under the Waterfall thinking I was alone, I heard a low growl. I turned around slowly and saw a wolf standing and watching me in the distance. As slowly I turned, the wolf slowly transformed into a handsome man. I just could not make out the features of his face. He was well built and had washboard abs. He was tall and as he approached I noticed that he did not have any clothing on. Even though he moved closer and closer to me I could still not make out his face. I had a feeling that I knew who this was but just not sure. His muscles rippled as he walked slowly closer and I felt like this was the man of my dreams. The one whom the goddess has blessed to be with me for life.
He slowly made his way to me and pulled me close to him and I could feel his arms tighten as his embrace got tighter. He lowered his head to my neck and sniffed and I felt a jolt run through me and my core grew warm. Then I felt his member growing and pressing on my thigh. It was hard and long. It was at that moment I was grew awear of the fact that he was going to make love to me and as he slowly pulled me down into the water to rest on him with my legs wrapped around him. I woke up.
I was startled by Audrea shaking me to get up because it was time for breakfast. She looked at me and giggled, " Was it a good dream you were having. I had to fight you off you kept grabbing me and holding on to me and you were moaning very loudly. I blushed and only told her a few vague details. I told her about the man and how he approached me not the part when we were about to have have sex though. She giggled, "I wonder who you were dreaming about Jack or my brother." it was then I thought to myself that she was right it could have been one of them. I have known my wolf to take over my dreams before and lead my subconscious on some really daring adventures. I told her,"Do you think it might have been my wolf having some fun with my subconscious. She does do that sometimes." She looked at me like I was crazy and stated, " Guess she could do that. You might have to ask your mom that question" My cheeks got even darker than they already were. ". I don't know if I can talk to her about that stuff. I mean she is my mom. What if she starts talking about things her and dad do in their rooms. I do not think I want to hear that. Thank the goddess their rooms are on the other end of the house." We both laughed. " I think you are right about that, mom already tried to have the birds and bees talk with me and Andrew. Let's just say she ran out of the room crying."
" I just want to know if this is my own imagination or is my wolf fantasizing about being with her mate." I wondered. "I don't know but your wolf has a very explicit imagination." Audrea giggled. "Get your mind out of the gutter."
"Now what did my mom say I needed to do for the ritual. I forgot. I know I should have taken notes. This is not something I want to do or remember." I said. Audrea looked at me and said I think you have to bathe in some special oils. We need to go to the priestess to get them. I believe." "Ok" I said.
"Oh and you need to call Jack. You two need to talk. This ceremony is supposed to take place on the next full moon and after the new moon comes up you will not be able to even speak to each other." She told me in a motherly tone. "Ok Ok,'' I said as I pulled out my phone. About the time I started to dial his number my phone rang and it was Jack. I answered the phone quietly, "Hello, Yes this is her." Jack on the other end said, " Isabel we need to talk about what is happening." I replied, " Well yes we do. What do you have in mind?" " How about I pick you up and we can have dinner and talk." "When," I asked. "Tonight at 6," He said. "Ok." I answered and hung up.
Audrea bounced on my bed and asked," What did he say?" " He asked me to dinner at the diner," I said. She oooed like it was something amazing, "You agreed to meet him without me." "Uh, Yes," I said, "Why would I ask you to go with me? This is between me and him." "Ok," she pouted, "I have to go my mom needs my help to get the menu ready for the night of the ritual." "Ok, See you later," I said as I crammed a croissant in my mouth.
