CH. 252: Academy of Raya Lucaria, entrance.

( Yuuki's POV )

I mastered Sellen's basic spells and then I gave Astraea and Rhym another quest, to collect as many Glintstone Sorcery Scrolls as possible, then I returned with the others and there I saw Akane using the Glintstone pebble with difficulty, she was very excited to learn so I decided to leave her here with Pheliss while Lisanna and I continued our way to the academy.

While we were riding to Torrent, Melina informed us that the entrance to the place was blocked by a powerful barrier, we were going to need a special key to get in, and she told us where we could find one.

We changed our course a little and when we arrived at the place she told us about, I saw a corpse wearing sorcerer's clothes in the middle of a shallow lake.

Yuuki: that must be what we are looking for.

We entered the lake, but as we approached, an unexpected guardian appeared behind some large debris behind the corpse, another dragon, but this one had Glintstones coming out of its body.

Lisanna: Is that, a dragon?

Yuuki: Why so surprised? I thought you came from a world of magic and adventure.

Lisanna: Yes, but dragons aren't common there. I've never seen one before.

Yuuki: Well, now you have.

I jumped out of Torrent quickly, and I stood on the water, I walked in front, but Lisanna started calling for me.

Yuuki: I'll be back in a minute.

Lisanna: Wait, you can't go alone.

Lisanna also jumped out of Torrent but she sank her feet into the shallow water.

Lisanna: How are you standing on water?

Yuuki: Talent.

I offered her my hand, and when I pulled her out of the water, I froze the entire lagoon, the dragon let out a challenging roar, and Lisanna got a little nervous, so I petted her head a little.

Yuuki: Don't worry, this isn't my first dragon, it's going to be okay.

When I tried to comfort her, Lisanna was silent for a second and then she took a deep breath.

Lisanna: Take over.

Lisanna activated her magic, and a mysterious magic symbol appeared behind her, then she gained some of the features of a cat, the animal ears, the tail, and the cat paws, and I assume that enhanced her physical abilities.

She nodded to me to confirm that she was ready, and at that moment, the dragon released a breath attack with Glintstone magic mixed in with it, I spread my dragon wings, and I flew together with Lisanna right above the dragon.

Lisanna: drop me!

I listened to what she told me and I threw Lisanna with all my strength towards the dragon, she flew with her claws forward and she blinded one of the dragon's eyes, then she put some distance and the dragon tried to crush her with one of its claws but I didn't let him, I threw my fire axe at him but more than just stopping his attack I cut off one of his arms completely, this dragon was not as strong as the previous one so I prepared my final attack, creating a huge ice sword above the dragon I used my gravity control to give it the power to decapitate the dragon.

With our victory achieved, I retrieved what we came for, and then I landed in front of a shocked Lisanna.

With the key in hand, we finally arrived at the academy, but we were waiting outside the barrier, Akane had finished her basic training, and she was about to join us.

While we were waiting, Lisanna and I started talking, this time, I specifically bombarded her with questions about the capabilities, limits, and rules of her magic, but her answers were very simple.

Yuuki: For a mage, you're not very interested in the mechanics of your own magic.

Lisanna: I just don't care about the small details okay, you saw that I could fight.

Yuuki: yeah, but knowledge is power, the more you understand your magic, the more powers you can handle, why did you become a mage in the first place?

With that, we officially entered the academy, but first, we had to go through a small gate town, we faced the usual enemies, but around the village, we were also attacked by giant seafood, among them were giant crabs.

Akane: argh sorry we ate your friends!

Yuuki: There is no way they would know we did that.

I threw my fire axe at them to cook them alive, then when we entered the village Pheliss and I took a step back so the others could gain experience, things were going well until we came across a strange device, a carriage with a huge fire-breathing head on top of it, I thought about intervening but Lisanna transformed again, now into the form of a harpy, she flew behind the device and directly attacked the one who was controlling it.

After that, we made our way through the village more easily.
