Omake 10.Gacha world.2: First Multi.

( Matthew's POV )

Eris: The multidimensional gacha or GM will be vital to fulfill your mission and this is divided into three major parts, first we will focus on the most basic, the standard gacha, this contains everyday items like toilet paper to things like fighter jets and these can be used by anyone even if they are not connected to the GM.

Matt: I guess I'll get some free pulls.

Eris: Correct, you need standard tickets for that, but we'll talk about how to get them later, give it a try.

As she said that, I stared at the energy sphere that was my guide, but nothing happened.

Matt: ...what am I supposed to do?

Eris: You put your hand on me and I'll do the rest.

I followed Eris's instructions, and when I put my hand on her, she emitted a strong blue light, I wasn't sure if she was a "she", but her voice was feminine.

The rings of light surrounding her began to spin rapidly, and from the center of her came ten cards that seemed to be made of blue crystal, floated in front of me, the cards started turning over, and they had a picture, a description, and a star, I think that was the rarity.

What I had pulled was toilet paper, thermo X2, a shirt, chainmail, knife X2, Glock 19, a piece of bread, and... More toilet paper.

A deck holder appeared on my belt and the ten cards flew into it.

Eris: There is a limit to how many cards you can carry at the same time, but don't worry, you won't reach that limit anytime soon, Now that you have a weapon, you can take care of those monsters.

Matt: How do I use those cards?

Eris: Put your hand near the deck and think about what you want to take out, then think of a simple command like activate, and the contents of the card will appear, for things like chainmail, imagine them around your body to quickly equip them.

I did what Eris said and the knives and pistol appeared in their holsters on my belt, while the chainmail appeared under my clothes.

I looked down the tree where the monsters were now looking away from me as if they were protecting their food from being taken by other monsters, one of them was lying on his side, not registering me as a threat.

I had been to a gun range a couple of times and knew I couldn't hit anything further than my arm so I came up with a different plan, I jumped on the lying monster aiming for its head, I was hoping to break its skull but that worked too well, the creature's head exploded beneath my feet and I slipped on its remains.

I fell on my back, and the pair of monsters jumped into action, I took out my pistol and spent half of my bullets trying to take down one of the monsters, and after receiving three bullets, it fell.

The last monster made a jump attack, and I rolled to the side to dodge, not wanting to waste more bullets, I took out my knives and tackled the last enemy to the ground, I put one knife into his shoulder and raised the other over his head then used all my strength to bring it down.

When I pierced his head the body flinched a little and I sat in front of the body, my new body wasn't tired but my mind was, I let out a deep sigh, and the bodies of the monsters transformed into light that gathered in my hand, and took the form of some coins, a transparent ticket, and some red crystal fragments.

I only took a quick look at the fruits of my labor before they were absorbed by my guide.

Matt: Hey, that's mine.

Eris: I'll keep it safe, congratulations on your first victory, that wasn't the most graceful thing, but you did well, as you saw defeating monsters, it will give you Vic which is the currency of this world, some fragments of core crystals or CC and occasionally standard tickets for the gacha.

Matt: Does this world have a currency? Is there civilization here?

Eris: Of course, you thought you'd be the only human here?

Matt: No, but I thought this was a Mad Max-type world.

Eris: Well, there are some groups that choose to live that way, but we'll talk about that later, let's continue with the gacha explanation, Another way to get Vic and tickets, is through completing missions, these are not repeatable and there is no time limit to complete them, there are exceptions but that's a discussion for another time, you've completed your first mission so make sure you claim your reward.

A transparent screen appeared in front of me, with a mission name, requirements, and reward.

Mission: Your First Steps.

Requirements: Defeat an enemy, 3/1.

Reward: 1500 Vic, Standard Ticket X3.

Eris: Each Gacha has its own shop, and the standard shop is the largest of the three, if you want to buy something in particular, let me know.

Matt: Okay, how much for more bullets and a laser sight?

Eris: A magazine for your pistol would be 350Vic, and the laser sight would be 2250Vic.

Matt: I guess I'll have to save my bullets for Emergencies.

Eris: If you're interested, a beginner skill book is only 750 Vic, your aim will not improve immediately, but your learning speed will double until you reach a certain point.

Matt: I guess it's better than nothing, buy the book and a magazine.

Upon giving her my request, Eris dropped two cards that flew into my deck and I immediately pulled out the skill book that had a not-so-flattering name.

Matt: ...marksmanship for idiots.

Eris: I didn't name the book.

I gave my partner a suspicious look before opening the book, and when I did it, it transformed into particles of light that entered my head, giving me a slight headache, and I took that as proof that it had worked.
