Chapter 5: A Certain Mage of Flowers

~ The Next day ~

Arthur wakes up staring at the ceiling and saying,

"I can't believe we survived that huh Dorothy."

There was no response, so he took a peak below and saw the bed was empty and properly arranged.

"She must've went to class earlier than me."

Arthur thought about what he just said right now and said,

"Hang on! Dorothy Ritsu managing to wake up even more earlier than I do? and what's more her bed is well arranged!?."

Arthur realized something was up since Dorothy isn't the person who'd like to wake up early, he quickly ate his breakfast, prepared his things, ironed his clothes and took a bath.

Once that was done he then went towards the classroom to see if Dorothy was already there.

~ Outside in the city ~

"Thank you Captain we'll take it from here."

A long curly green haired girl said as she ends the call and faces towards her partner saying,

"Captain has another mission for us! let's go!." She said.

"Alright, Alright give me a second."

A guy with light yellow hair stood up from the bench and asked,

"What's the mission about?."

"There have been some complaints about people seeing a dark figure or an entity entering hallways and dark alleys."

"So our job is to catch it? or exercise it? OooOOoooO scary---!."

The boy with light yellow hair stutters as he gets punched by the girl with green long curly hair.

"Take this seriously! there have been three incidents lately because of whatever that thing is."

As the boy puts an ice pack over his head he asks,

"How do you know these incidents are related to each other? they could just be some random thugs in hallways or something."

"No, they're all the same."

She shows him a picture of the victims, it contained soulless, lifeless people as if their souls were literally sucked out.

"No way! they looked like dried fish that got washed up on shor---!!."

He stops finishing the sentence as he sees her clenching her fists and hearing the cracking noise they made.

"It looks to me, they were posessed by the entity itself or whatever that thing is and seems to be taking their souls with it as it leaves, either way you go check that alleyway and I'll check over here."

"Alright!."

~ Meanwhile ~

Arthur was running towards their room hoping to find Dorothy there,

"Come on *panting* *panting* please be there."

He ran as fast as he could just to know whether she was there or not and once Arthur arrived at the room there was no sign of Dorothy, her seat was empty, her bag wasn't there. nothing.

"Good Morning Arthur you seemed to be in a hurry a while ago, something the matter?." Lisa asked.

"O-Oh.. It's nothing..." He replied while catching his breath.

"You sure? I was just about to call your name from outside the gate when you completely ran inside, it seems like you were looking for someone?." Lisa asked.

"It's nothing Lisa, I appreciate the concern."

Arthur then proceeds to head towards his chair, once he sat down he looks at the empty chair next to him,

[Where are you Dorothy?] He thought to himself.

~ At the Hospital ~

"You must be her friend." The doctor said as he enters the room.

"Yes, I am.. Good Morning doc."

"You should be at school right now."

The Doctor checks Patrisha's monitor to see anything out of the ordinary.

"This is my responsibility, I've caused this to her, I have to be at her side no matter what." She said as she holds Patrisha's hand.

"I'm sure your friend here doesn't think that, I'm sure she'll forgive you."

Dorothy was silent and looking at Patrisha, she couldn't live with herself on what happened,

Patrisha took the dart instead of her, and now Patrisha's life might be in danger because of her, The Doctor lets out a sigh and says,

"I haven't told her parents this but it appears that, that Tranquilizer dart that hit her, had some poison in it." He said.

Dorothy's eyes widened and became teary as her worst fears came true.. she immediately reacted and asked,

"Is there an antidote!?."

"Of course there always is, well not all, but we can be hopeful, I can do so much as push back the poision for a while but it won't be enough I need the actual antidote to help her."

Dorothy then closes her eyes, takes a deep breath, held Patrisha's hand once again and whispered,

"I'll be right back Patrisha, I'll save your life no matter what."

She then proceeds to head towards door and the doctor then asks,

"And where do you think you're going?."

"Where? I'm going to find that antidote where do you think I'm going."

"To school." The Doctor said.

Tears were flowing down from her eyes as she says,

"This was my fault, I need to do this."

"You're only going to worry your friends." He said.

As from what the doctor said Dorothy's mind then focuses on Arthur, She bites her lip as she remembered seeing Arthur yesterday, exhausted, wounded, pale and said,

"I don't want that idiot to get dragged into my mess again.. I need to do this alone and I'll clean this myself."

"To where you're going, you're heading into the Darkness of this kingdom, do you think you alone can handle it?."

He noticed her fists clenching as hard as they can her face was calm but her hands say something else,

"I need to do this, for her parents, for my friend."

"Take this."

She then caught a plastic bag where the Tranquilizer dart is inside.

"head to the convenice store near here and say "the doctor has sent me" to the shop keeper she will help you find the source of the tranquilizer but let me ask you this one last time are you sure to enter the darkness this kingdom has."

"who do you think you're talking to doctor? Darkness has always been apart of my life." Dorothy proves her resolve to go, and went outside.

"True enough." the doctor recalls a memory a few years ago..

~ 4 years ago ~

"Doctor pleasee help her!." Dorothy's aunt said.

Dorothy had an accident and was unconscious.

"Who are you talking to, I am the best doctor in this kingdom." the doctor said to calm her aunt and uncle.

~ During the procedure ~

"Doctor you might wanna see this, her brainwaves are pretty unnatural." the nurse said.

"I'll handle the operation here you guys wait outside." He said as he wears his gloves.

As the other nurses saw how serious the doctor was they all left the room,

"Impossible."

The doctor said to himself as he was dumbfounded by the monitor that checks the classes of the person.. the monitor started glitching while the doctor was watching, as each glitch occurs one class appears, first off her main class the Mage, then the others appeared out of nowhere and as the doctor checked her open wound it was slowly healing itself.

as the open wounds were already closed the doctor checked the monitor once again and only the Mage class was left.

~ A few minutes later ~

"Thank you so much Doctor, Thank you so very much!." Dorothy's aunt was so grateful that day, but the doctor couldn't tell them about Dorothy being the one to fix her wounds for he then recalls a memory from meeting her dad once..

~ 13 years ago ~

"Doc, whenever my daughter gets admitted here I want you to be the one to help her." Dorothy's Father said.

"Hmmm how so?." The Doctor asked.

"It's because I trust you, she has a power that maybe targeted by criminals so you mustn't tell anyone about my daughter no matter who it maybe." Dorothy's Father said.

"Alright Mr. Ritsu I won't tell anyone about her powers and watch over her I can." the doctor said.

"Mr. Ritsu? come on man we've known each other since highschool enough with the pleseantries." Dorothy's Father said.

~ Back to the present ~

"Looks like your daughter has gotten your side when it comes to this matters my old friend." the doctor said.

~ In the city ~

"Well looks like this is it." Dorothy said as she enters the convenience store.

~ At the far side of the convenience store ~

"Ohhh? what do we have here?." a mysterious purple and white hooded person said as he grabs his staff and proceeds to head towards the convenience store.

~ Meanwhile ~

"Any luck over there?." The green curly haired girl asked.

"No, not here on my alleyway too." The light yellow haired boy replied.

They never found the entity they were tasked to find and defeat as they have been looking for it everywhere she lets out a sigh and says,

"It doesn't matter, we need to find it before another person encounters it."

She looks to the left and right deciding where to go next,

"I'll be heading your direction once I'm done sweeping the area." He said on the phone.

"Alright be careful over there."

She ends the call and proceeds to enter another hallway.

~ In School ~

"Alright Class since the events that occurred yesterday has caused so much trouble for the school we're going to have a teacher's meeting today so Classes are over for today." Sir. Charles said.

As everyone heard the news they all cheered! some were even inviting others to go on malls or hang out.

Their Teacher then yells at everyone "I WANT YOU ALL TO GO DIRECTLY TO YOUR DORM ROOMS!!! NO DETOURS!! YOU GOT THAT!!." Their Teacher exclaimed.

Arthur was busy worrying about Dorothy's whereabouts during the whole day and wondering if she's okay.

"Dorothy please be safe." Arthur said to himself.

His mind was really fixated on her whereabouts and was really worried.
