Chapter 38: Masks

Arthur and Dorothy were right about to send Anna off to her room, she said to them "Mama, Papa see you later!." she enters the room and right before closing the door she waves goodbye at them.

As they do the same, once Anna closed the door Arthur said "Shall we get going?." meanwhile Saya and Carla were right behind them, Carla muttered to herself "Keep pretending like we aren't here." Saya says "I agree with Carla." as Arthur and Dorothy laughed he then said "Alright, shall we go now?."

A few moments later as they were heading towards the room Carla says "Isn't it a little too quiet?." They stood their ground and formed a defensive position Dorothy says "Anything comes our way kill it!." as a smog covered the entire hallway Saya asks "Aren't there supposed to be teachers here?." Dorothy replies "Doesn't matter we need to hold out and hope a teacher comes." Carla fires out a bullet as they become more cautious of their surroundings.

a mask was formed in front of them and said "You will all perish!." as Arthur slashed the mask it broke and maniacal laughter could be heard.

Carla then asks "What the hell was that?." Dorothy then says "Either way we can't let our guard's down at any second."

Once they arrived at the classroom, their first subject for today was P.E.

Patrisha walks to Dorothy asking "Hey Dorothy, did you bring your badminton racket?." Dorothy then shows to Patrisha the racket and says "Hehehehe I could never forget."

Carla then walks to Arthur whispering "My King before I came here did you and Dorothy faced the same thing?." He wears his shoes and asks "What makes you say that?." Carla sits on Arthur's armchair and says "Well from seeing both you and Dorothy earlier acting calm as if you two faced a similar situation like earlier before." Arthur gets up and says "Yeah, me and Dorothy faced something similar like earlier (He then thoughts of their first encounter at the gym, and then the Assassin's they both faced during the L1 Battle Royale.) But in the end we'll get through it together." He gives Carla a smile as he then says "Let's get going." Carla gets down from his armchair and says "Of course my King."

Sir. Charles said "Alright since we're here for P.e. I want everyone one of you doing something, Tennis, soccer, running around the gym badminton or anything that would make you move." as Sir. Charles was continuing his announcement some students were whispering "Does sir know how to teach in Pe?." and a student replied "We don't know, he's been good at the other subjects so far." Sir. Charles then said "Alright now class we have an hour of doing some exercising!." as everyone then prepared their rackets,balls and their things to do in the gym George walked by and said "Teaching P.e. isn't your style Charles." Carla was playing basketball with the boys, Arthur was playing soccer with Gray and the others, Saya was scoring for Dorothy and Patrisha's badminton match.

Patrisha said "Out!." she blew her whistle as Patrisha then says "I'm sorry Dorothy I'm not that good at badminton yet, I just wanted to play with you." Dorothy then replies picking up the shuttle cock "It doesn't matter Patrisha, as long as you're having fun that's fine by me." she gives her a smile and says "Heads up!." she serves and Patrisha manages to hit it.

After a few minutes Arthur and Gray takes a break and sits at the top of the stage Gray said "Look at all the sweaty girls right now Arthur." as Arthur takes a look at Gray and sees his face drooling, he then says "No thank you, you pervert!." Gray sips his drool back and says "Hey that's not nice you know." Arthur says "And looking at our sweaty classmates is nice?." Gray then looks at Arthur saying "Eh? is that so, then where are your eyes staring at."

Arthur then says "Nothing just watching Dorothy's match that's all." He then says "The match? or her b--." Arthur then covers his mouth with his towel as he then left the stage Gray then says "I'm kidding Arthur! wait up."

An hour has passed and Sir. Charles said "Alright everyone time's up! let's all head back towards the classroom." as everyone was preparing to go back, Arthur and Dorothy called in Saya and Carla, he whispered to them "Let's stay here a little longer." as Dorothy then whispers "We have to stop that assassin here and now." Carla then says "In the gym? but isn't Sir. George here?." Saya then says "I've seen him left a little earlier so it's fine." The four hid in the control room while Carla was peeking at the window whether Sir. Charles have already left the gym.

Carla says softly "He's gone now." as Dorothy stood up and went towards the door saying "We need to do this or who knows who'll get caught up in our mess."

A few minutes later they were at the center of the gym simply waiting for the Assassin to show up Saya says "Master how do we know he's even here? my sensors aren't picking up anything here." Dorothy then says "Remember the mist from earlier? we never knew where he would come from so what if." Arthur then says "Impossible if he released his mists before we entered the gym Sir. Charles and George would've found that out." Carla says "I agree he did saw through your stealth skill a few days ago Dorothy."

They then hear a laughter bouncing off the walls, the four formed a defensive and Dorothy said "He's here!." as the Assassin's mask appeared in front of them and said "I've been waiting for you, Ruler." as the mask turned and faced it towards Dorothy, She was about to dash in and destroy the mask as Arthur grabbed her and said "Don't!." as a smog appeared out of nowhere and surrounded them.

Carla says "How does any of the teachers not know of this?." as multiple masks formed out of thin air.

Carla blasted away a few of the masks and turned into dusts Arthur then says "This is going nowhere!." Dorothy calls out to Saya as she then unveils her scythe and manages to blow a hole through the smog.

"Over here!." but as Saya turned around the hole she made was gone and smog became even more thicker and then Arthur felt a slash from his back he then said "What the?." as he takes a look at his back and sees a slash and blood coming out from it. Dorothy launched a few fire balls at some of the masks and said "We need to find the right one or--." Dorothy sees a figure coming from one of the masks and launches multiple attacks and lands a critical hit as the smog disappears and the Assassin backs away from them.

He said "How did you know?." Dorothy then says "Why would I tell you that?." as she captures the Assassin with her threads and Carla shooting off both its legs and Saya grabbing the Assailant with her scythe and giving it towards Arthur.

right before Arthur threw the Assassin using his sword he said something.

"Do you really believe everything that girl says?." right before getting thrown out of the gym Carla then says "Was it a good idea throwing him out?."

as the Assassin landed right in front of Sir. Charles and felt the outrageous amount of aura Sir. Charles then said "What are you doing here!? you Assassin scum!!." as he summoned his spear and wrecked the Assassin and shortly after brought him to jail.

As Arthur and the others head back to their room Carla said "Well that was something." Saya then says "That was nothing." as they opened the door to their room and Sir. Charles was waiting for them he said "Where have the four of you been?." as they were all scared looking at Sir. Charles's terrifying amount of aura.

In the end Arthur and the others were standing outside of their room holding buckets of water and wearing a sign saying "We won't cut classes ever again."

Arthur then says "Why is this happening to us?." Carla says "My king doesn't deserve this punishment, so allow me to hold those for you My king." as Arthur then says "Don't! or we'll be stuck here for the whole day." Dorothy then weeps out "Arthurr we still need to pick up Anna laterr." Carla then says "I'm sure we still have time to pick her up." Saya then says "Concur, if Arthur doesn't screw up I'm sure we'll be fine." Arthur then says "Why is it only me?.".

As Anna felt a disturbance and said "Hmmm Mama? Papa?."
