Chapter 42: Operation Rescue: Ongoing

Inside the building there were some droids who managed to survive the explosion and were patrolling the areas, some droids lost their arms, and had torn faces.

one droid gets pierced in the head by an arrow, the other droids formed a circle around the downed robot wondering what happened. as Aiden enters the room slashing all the droids in the room.

he then says as he picks up one of the droid's head "Man these sure look beaten up already." Atalanta fires multiple arrows at the incoming droids as she slides on the floor and used her bow to swung at the droids that were still functioning.

Dorothy and Arthur entered with concerned look on their faces as they look from left to right hoping to see Anna.

Arthur says "We'll save you Anna, if it's the last thing we do."

meanwhile Liz was cornered by three droids, she was exhausted and about to fall as she desperately tries her best to protect the little girl in terror she yells out "I won't let any of you touch her!." as she plunges towards the droids and took out their legs, their arms and then their heads.

she was about to pass out at any moment now, but her will is simply what's keeping her from falling he says as he enters the scene "It's nice to see you're about to fall with despair, you must be thinking "There is no hope" "I'm going to die" right?." he laughs out loud manically and says "You know you could just abandon her and carry on with your life."

She points a middle finger at the enemy and says "Go to hell, you dumb ass!." He was frustrated looking at the injured girl in front of him without showing the emotions he wanted to see, he rests his hand on his face saying "Die then!."

Metal arms came out from behind his back and were heading towards Anna, Liz reacted and summoned at least two clones as one took her away while one were dealing with the arms.

she says catching her breath "I won't let this easy for you." he stares at her annoyingly, rubbing and pulling his hair, as his eyes widened, his face shaking he yelled out "I'm not liking this!." as Liz appeared right in front of him with the face of a killer, he took a step backwards dodging her strike and said,

"You must be eager to die!."

The arms behind his back went towards Liz with such speed, opening its claws hoping to capture and squeeze it's prey.

She says while dodging the arms and scratching them in the process "You're starting to piss me off." as she plunges towards him with monstrous speed, at a blink of his eye she were already in front of him he then yells out,

"Impossible!."

as both his mechanical arms pulled him away from Liz right before getting a scratch at the torso, blood was staining his lab coat, he touches it and gets his blood on his hand and clenches his hand yelling out "Go!!!!." the two Destroyer droids came crashing down from above.

She dodged the falling debris and was gasping for air, dust from the fall were blinding her sight, she couldn't see a thing clearly.

as red eyes were beaming coming from the side of where the enemy stood she draw her blade and her pistol as she plants her ground.

the red eyes beaming from a far disappeared, she began to be more cautious of her surroundings, and chose to close her eyes and trusting her instincts, she was silencing everything going on in the room but the metal clanking the droids made with each step.

They get closer and closer from both sides, she opens her eyes and fires a shot from the left destroying one of its legs, while appearing out of the dust she dodged the strike right before stabbing it's head.

as the dusts clears the villain was still standing there smirking, hoping to see a dead girl's body, but once he gets a clear view of in front of him what he saw were the droids on the ground and both stabbed in the head.

There was no sign of the girl's body in which he was expecting to see, he scratches his head with force and bites his fingers relentlessly as he says,

"I'm going to kill her!!."

Minutes passed and Liz found the two clones she summoned to protect Anna, she said "Where's Anna?." the clones opened the door for her and said "She's in here Other me." as Liz enters the room she sees Anna simply waiting for her, she smiles and one of the clone says "Other me, it seems Arthur is already here." Anna hears the name and runs towards the clone and asks,

"Is it really Papa??." with high hopes she said "Liz we need to get to Papa." as she takes a deep breath and says "Alright."

The two clones stare at each other and takes a look at Liz with a concern look on their face, meanwhile a droid reported to the villain and said "Sir, we have heroes in the lower levels." he pulls his hair with anger and grits his teeth saying "How could the Heroes have found us?." as he then thought up Liz and said "It must be her doing." he punches into a wall and says "Kill them all."

He was frustrated about the fact his plan had failed, and many unexpected turn of events occurred that made him slam his head on the wall multiple times.

Atalanta yelled out "Arthur! you and Dorothy better save the child, we'll deal with these scrap buckets." as she shoots an arrow at a near by pillar, the arrow exploded causing a collapse of the ceiling in a room destroying some of the droids in there.

Aiden feinted to his right and swung to the left destroying the droid and said "Don't worry about us, you just make sure to save her alright." as he jumps over a droid and slashes it in half.

Arthur and Dorothy enter a hallway while Atalanta and Aiden were dealing with the droids, the hallway was filled with broken down droids as they ran hoping to find their taken daughter Dorothy says "We're coming Anna." as Arthur noticed he grabbed and pulled Dorothy away from him as a droid came and took a swing.

If Arthur hadn't pulled Dorothy on time, she would've been stabbed by the droid, Arthur held his sword up and said "We don't have time for this." as he did multiple slices mincing the droid and says "Let's go."

thus they continue their search as Liz and Anna were cornered by the villain yet again.

"Going somewhere?."

His face was bloody, his aura filled with malice, his eyes were wide open as if they were obsessed with something.

She replies "Getting out of here." as the two clones rushed towards him he chuckled and the next thing they knew the clones were smashed to the ground by the mechanical arms and dispersed.

"You see, I need her power for a project!." he removed his lab coat and Liz says "I don't care what you need her for, I'm ending your little schemes." she takes a shot and the mechanical arm blocked it.

He then laughs out loud saying "You!? ending my plans? such garbage talk!." as the metal arms plunged into the ground.

Liz was concentrating and knew, she grabbed Anna and went inside the room as the arms reappeared coming from the floor.

He says while smiling intensely "Running away seems suited for you." as he smashes the door and walks into the large room.

It was dark, filled with a lot of furniture and boxes, things they could hide in "Hiding won't do good for both of you either." as his mechanical arms smashes each of the boxes and furniture in the room.

He hears footsteps and reacts to the sound by redirecting his arms to the source of the sound killing the rat.

He clicks his tongue and says "That'll be you once I see you." as someone rushes from the left, he reacts and lands a hit on her, he smiled upon hearing the scream of the girl who lost her legs as he pulls the girls hair towards him to enjoy the screams he then saw the body dispersed as Liz was about to open the front door.

He smiles as Liz carrying Anna backs away from the door as two Destroyer droids enter the room, Liz then dodges the mechanical arms strikes and hides in the dark places in the room He says,

"Oy! let's enjoy the moment shall we?." as the arm blocks the bullet and Liz without Anna on her back plunges towards the villain.

She swung to the left blocking the right mechanical arm's strike and ducked to dodge the left arm, she got close to the villain and said "It's over!." as he laughs manically as the two Destroyer droids grabbed her hair and threw her towards the wall.

She was about to pass out, while Anna was next to her yelling "Liz!? Liz!?." he snapped his fingers as the two droids went closer to retrieve the girl.

Liz tried to stand back up as her body wasn't listening to her, she summoned clones but were killed by the droids upon released meanwhile he was sitting on top of a box laughing to his heart's content.

"No."

"No."

She remembered the time when she was abused, "No."

She remembered being in the dark room..

"No."

as the droids were closing in Liz said "Get out of here!." as she yelled "NOOOO!!!!!!!!." Anna was sparkling, her black hair turned into white as she screamed at the top of her voice the door was broken and the two droids were pushed back and were filled with holes.

"Heh?."

The villain reacted as his two droids were destroyed right in front of him, seeing two people at the door asking,

"Who are you two?."

They ignored him and ruffled Anna's hair, she looked above her and was in tears "Mama! Papa!." the villain wondered "Mama? Papa? -----!." and was astonished to see wings forming out of the boy's back he asked "What are you?."

He was still being ignored, Arthur carries Liz's body outside the room and places her gently saying "Thank you for saving my little girl." as Anna stayed with Liz Arthur went back inside the room but was silent.

the villain tried to move but was stopped by multiple swords, spears and arrows.

"What in the world?." both his mechanical arms were pinned to the ground by the many weapons, as he turned his face towards them. Arthur's teeth became sharp, as if those were teeth of a dragon, his fingers became sharp claws as he draw his sword readying for battle the villain yelled,

"You won't stop me!!." as he got both his mechanical arms free and plunged them towards Arthur and Dorothy, they went both ways and dodged the attack he tried redirecting his arms but couldn't get them to move.

He then realized "She tied my arms to the ground with her threads? Impossible! how fast can she cast those!." as he tries to set them free Arthur was behind him saying in a deep voice "Behind you." he turned around to take a look and saw a demon.

he took the hit and was heading towards Dorothy's position, she chanted "Astonishing Velvert." as chains caught the villain mid air he then thought,

"This is bad!."

as he manages to get both his arms free Arthur then destroys one of the arms and flies towards the shadows using his wings meanwhile Dorothy disappeared.

Now alone dangling from the ceiling, the room was silent as if there was no one there to begin with but he was certain they were still there, he could still feel one of their presences in the room.

He swings to the left and dodges Arthur's attack, as he goes back into the shadows.

*THUD*

Reacting from the sound he redirected his right mechanical arm to the source of the sound, as Arthur was running towards him using the arm as a bridge between them swords appeared on top of him was he was running and were launched towards him.

"Swords!?."

The chains disappeared but he was impaled by the swords launched at him at the wall he then thought to himself,

"I'm going to die."

"Ackerman Tenth style, Twin Star Dragons."

Two Dragons were formed behind Arthur's back as he swung his sword upon the villain the dragons followed and broke the walls and threw the villain outside of the building, the last thing he saw before falling was Arthur's eyes which were filled with hate, and his broken smile.

"I've seen that look before."

As the villain was gone, Arthur's fingers and teeth were back to normal and the wings behind his back dispersed he then asked "I-Is it over?." he rests his hand on his face as he tries to remember what happened after he entered the room.

Anna was waiting outside the room with Liz, as the door opens she immediately went towards Dorothy and Arthur gave them a hug crying "Mama! Papa!."

Arthur then said "Ssshhhh It's okay, Anna." Dorothy then says "Everything's okay, It's over now."

The remaining droids that were currently fighting Atalanta and Aiden all shut downed.

meanwhile outside was the villain desperately crawling his way until..

"Look what we have here girls?."

the villain froze as he heard that voice from before, he thought it was the same one who came to save the girl, but her voice seems different, it sounded as if it had killed thousands of people and was proud of it.

He then felt tons of hands all over his body, and could hear the diabolical laughter they were making, he couldn't move out of fear, can't even dare to look.

"When I came here I was prepared for a fight, but I guess that's unnecessary now."

The villain let out a broken laughter saying,

"How unfair can this world be!? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!."

She snapped her fingers and every one of the clones started tearing his limbs, and arms apart. as she enjoyed gazing at her clones tear apart the villain's body she says "You're Welcome Arthur."

The next day..

They were at the hospital, Liz was admitted there for the time being and Anna was being checked by the doctor.

"There aren't any problems with her body, so I just want her to get some rest for the time being." Dorothy then asks "Where is Anna right now Doc?." He turned and said "She said she wanted to go and see someone named Liz."

Liz was laying on her bed staring at the ceiling as she heard the door creak she then said "If that's you please come in." the door closes as Anna then asks "How are you Liz?." she chuckles and said "I'm perfectly fine Anna, although the doctor said I shouldn't be summoning any clones for a month or so but it's all good." She gives her a convincing smile as Anna hugs her and says "Thank you so much, for saving me." Liz pats her head and says "Now go, you might make your parents worry about you." before Anna left the room she turned around and said "I'll never forget you Liz, you're my hero."

As Liz then recalled a memory from her past...

*Flashback*

"Mommy! I want to become a hero." she gives her mother a warm smile as she ruffles her hair and said "Well you're going to protect Mommy, Daddy and your baby sister from bad guys right?." as she agrees then her Mother then says "Well I'm sure you'll be a fine hero one day."

*End of Flashback*

She gives her a smile as Anna leaves the room.

Meanwhile at the student council room...

"President, we have two unusual ones here."

He lends a profile containing Dorothy and Arthur's information, on what they've been through ever since they transferred in WordBagon.

He lets out a smile and says,

"Request for these two immediately and make sure everyone's present this time."

as he leaves the room, he reads their information again and says to himself while staring unto the window,

"It seems this year might be a fun one after all."
