Chapter 64: Time flies slowly

While waiting for the remaining hour to pass by so they can pick up Anna, Arthur and Dorothy decided to have walk around the city to pass time, Carla and Saya had to go and buy some groceries since they were almost out of food and snacks there, Carla just tagged along and helped Saya with her groceries.

Currently right now Arthur and Dorothy were walking around, it was still early,

"It's still 3:01 ohh it just became 3:02 right now." She said.

Arthur: Do you have to check the time every time?

The two continued on their lovely stroll in the city while waiting for the time to pass unaware of the danger that has been following them a few minutes now, they were in a red car driving slowly as they were looking for the right time to snatch them up and take them to their client.

There were four people all in all in the red car, The one driving was their leader, Ryan, he had long bangs covering half his face, it's even amazing how he could see from his hair in front, he doesn't have any powers or abilities, but he loves to use a baseball bat as his weapon, the girl next to him was Ryan's girlfriend,

Mila stunners, A Swordsman class, a bit shy and clumsy at times, short curly hair, loves to wear the jackets, and often wears them as somewhat like capes, the ones at the back were the younger members of the group called Weapon,

Zoey Granger, A Marksman class, she doesn't use any guns or bows, just her index finger she would just aim at someone with her index finger as if it were a real gun and fire from there, the bullets that would be shot of is her own mana, although a few shots would drain her quickly, from who she is now..

Hanz Serrano, No class nor abilities same as their leader, but uses a round shield as his main weapon, he often uses it for battle by using the end tip of the shield, while his main purpose is to simply protect his teammates when they're in a difficult situation.

Mila: Heyy Ryyy (pronounces as Raii) Are those two our client wants us to catch?

Ryan: I believe so Mii

Hanz was looking at the photos they were provided as he compares and contrasts them with the picture, He squints his eyes towards the two in the window while Zoey was aiming her index finger at them readying just in case.

Ryan: Zoey, put down the finger the client needs them alive and in good condition.

Zoey: Grrr fine

She places down her finger frustrated as she began to pout and completely stare at the civilians passing by,

There were people going home from work, others advertising their shops, stores etc.. Zoey even sees a pigtailed girl holding a dagger while in her sash was a pistol walk by as she says,

"Man, this kingdom has been very busy lately, hasn't it?." she said as she follows the pigtailed girl with her eyes,

Hanz: Yeah, a lot of rumors have been spreading in the Dark Net lately, there's one saying a boy who posses great potential to destroy the world although I find that hard to believe and there's even this armless guy who uses electricity for his lacking arms, but rumors are probably just rumors.

Ryan: Really? Hmmm

Mila: What are you thinking Ry?

Ryan: Nothing I just thought we should be wary about that one if it were true.

Hanz: It's just a rumor anyways boss, there's no need to worry about that. There's even one rumor saying it can help make people grow taller faster.

Ryan: Yeah that is unbelievable to me.

Hanz: Ehh? well it is a rumor --?

Hanz takes a look at Zoey who was oddly looking for someone at the back window as if she saw someone familiar,

"Hey Zoey? something the matter?" He asked.

"--?"

She was frightened for a bit as she turns around him and says,

"It's nothing, I thought I saw someone I know, I was wrong."

Convinced yet concerned for her partner his brows furrowed as he was about to ask her about who she thought she saw was when their leader interrupts them by saying,

"They're entering the park!!."

Mila: But Ry we can't bring the car with us.

she cried out as she doesn't want to go outside their air conditioned vehicle,

Ryan: We have no choice, we need to go on foot and follow them until we have the chance to take them with us.

They parked right outside the park entrance as Arthur and Dorothy could still be visibly seen they were busy doing rock-paper-scissors on who gets to stay on the car as the getaway driver, multiple rounds all failed, but they kept on trying and trying until a winner was found,

Ryan took a glance at their last whereabouts and panics as they're gone, he stops the competition and says,

"They're gone, soo why not all of us go out and find them instead we'll contact with each other through these."

Ryan gave everyone an ear piece comm gear, as they were all ready Ryan said with much enthusiasm,

"Alright Weapon, let's rise our ranks through this mission."

Everyone: Yeahhh!!!

As everyone left the car and split up to cover more ground in the park Arthur and Dorothy doesn't realize the danger they're in,

Dorothy: Hey Arthur, do you ever wonder if our alternate selves are doing okay?

Arthur: Ehh? what brought this up?

Dorothy: I don't know It just popped up in my head...

Arthur: Well I'm sure the alternate me would face through very much hardships but would still be able to smile in the end.

Dorothy: How would you know that?

Arthur: Because he's still me

Dorothy: I don't think that's how this works Arthur

They were holding hands as they continued their stroll through the park just to kill time while their hidden kidnappers are right behind them, Dorothy checks the time on her phone as she sees.

"3:15"

Dorothy: Man, Time is moving slower when we want something to happen but if we're busy with something or anything that we don't want to be hurried time simply moves as fast as if it were being chased by something.

Arthur: I don't know why you'd explained it that way but I do see your point.

Dorothy: Right? I wonder what Saya and Carla are making for dinner tonight... I just can't wait.

Totally imagining all the foods she craves for tonight, Arthur was starting to notice multiple people have been following sometime now, but since the park was crowded he couldn't tell from where, he's relying on his instincts on this one.

But still unsure of his instincts he raised both his and Dorothy's hand in the sky, she was confused but more curious to what her boyfriend is thinking.

Dorothy: Something wrong Arthur? She asked.

Arthur's smile was positive as if nothing were troubling him at the moment, from an outsider's perspective, but since Dorothy has spent more time with Arthur more than anyone else, she knows something is wrong whether he'd hide it from her or not.

Arthur's expression turned serious and held tight on Dorothy's hand as he ran towards a building, with Dorothy not understanding the situation of course she was confused as to what drove him to act like this.

Meanwhile as Arthur took a peek behind them and saw the same pursuers as they entered the park followed them, that was when he was positive but for now he had to find somewhere safe to hide it out and explain to Dorothy what's going on.

Dorothy trusted Arthur no matter what, She wouldn't doubt him even for a second so as she was being pulled she decided to run with him and not be the one dragging him down like an anchor.

As they were about to make a turn they bump into someone and the both of them fell on the ground,

"Ouchh... Dorothy are you okay?"

Ryan: Dorothy Ritsu... aye.

Arthur stared a death threat at the person in front of them as he grabs her hand and they both take a step backward away from the man.

Ryan: Let me guess.. you must be Arthur Ackerman too? Oohh lucky day for Weapon Indeed, You'll be coming with us.
