''Shoes!'' The two yelled simultaneously and made her step backwards making an even bigger mess on their pearl white floor. With a pale face, she saw Jenny taking a huge stick out the nearby closet and rose her hands.
''I just came for that man. Please, hear me out...'' But even before she could say the rest, she was hit by Jenny that furiously rushed behind her, while she ran from this place to that one to escape the stick.
''Listen to me...ahhh... please listen!!! Some people are after him!!!'' She yelped as Jenny hit her even more now.
''He is a strong man. People asking about him is normal. If you don't live in our building, do you think I will leave you alive after messing up my white floor!!!'' Jenny was not only furious, she was quite disgusted.
This woman left heaps of dust, mites and some wiggling creatures that started spreading all over the place on every step. But she suddenly saw Anne coming with a vacuum cleaner and vacuuming it. ''My baby is the best!!!''
Just as she wanted to answer her face froze and her eyes changed. Anne saw her own body standing there frozen while Jenny knocked out the redheaded idiot with a convenient name. Scarlet. She took the vacuum cleaner to clean the rest of the house. Jenny already knew this will last for a while and she shouldn't touch her.
When she finished, she knocked lightly on Fabius Maximus's door, that already aware of the silence and was already moving the things slowly away. When he opened the door he saw frozen Anne in mid of the room and he furrowed. ''Predictions? Don't tell me she has such a heavy burden?''
He met someone before with the burden of predictions and knew how hard that person lived. Is that a reason why is this woman is so crazy about some rules. Looking at Jenny it seems both of them are crazy. But then with astonishment, he saw Jenny dragging Scarlet towards the main door.
''What are you doing?'' He was curious about what happened actually.
''What... huh... so heavy... Who would have thought? This tiny body is so...huh... heavy. Why are you standing there? Come and help me get her back to her home... Now!'' He saw her face becoming angry and just sighed.
He grabbed Scarlet by the clothes and picked her up like a shopping bag and stared at Jenny questioningly. ''I have no idea where she lives. Show me the way. Anne can be without us for a moment or two.'' Predictions are quite difficult to take care of, so he knew it will take some time. But as soon they closed the door even her body disappeared.
"Huh, what now?" She stood in mid of a beautiful garden and stared at an old man crouching down and digging the earth.
Nearby was a small hut and no other houses or humans nearby. She stood there curiously.
"Is this past? Or future maybe?"
Suddenly the man stood up and stepped right in front of her. "Are you a deity?"
She was stunned for a moment as she realized one certain fact. She could smell the world, and feel the nature. As the sun was high up on the sky it was burning hot.
"How is this possible?" She usually just passes in a soul form. Is she here now in a body form?
With a move, she pinched herself and realized that it hurt. Did she transfer in body form?
"Young lady?" The old man saw her difficult expression.
Her eyes moved here and there and then stopped at him. "Where am I, what year is this and who are you?"
Hearing her questions he blinked at her and almost automatically answered. "This is Thalos, its 2020 and my name is John Sticks. And the young lady is?"
"I'm Anne. Thalos? Greece?" Did she transfer on some island that had no zombies?
"What is Greece?" He stared at the frozen woman with wonder.
"Am I on Earth?" She looked at him and saw him nodding.
"Do you know the map of this place?"
He shrugged and pointed at the hut. "Come with me, I'll show it to you."
When she entered she saw an old map on the wall. Just like she thought so. The continents are not the same and there are more islands instead of big continents.
Parallel universe. No other answer.
"John, may I ask on this map, where is Thalos?" She saw him pointing at one of the tiny dots in a cluster of islands. "Are there islands that have no humans or did humans choose to take over all of it?"
He chuckled. "How is it even possible. After the great war, there are not many of us left. Only big islands have a bit more people."
He pointed at a few dozen big islands and sighed. "After Gods put damnation on some of the humans, they turned into monsters and it took us almost half of a century to get rid of them. Now we are free, but not many were left alive. Punishment, yes its the punishment for our try to become Gods."
"Not all Gods are revengeful. Tell me, what actually happened here. I come from another world and maybe your world and my world can help each other. Just maybe." She could see his surprised expression and a huge smile.
He took out a huge book and started turning the pages. When he found what he wanted, he stopped and turned the book towards her.
"There was a man in Atlantis that said there are doors towards other worlds. Unfortunately, he lived in the dark ages and they killed him. That statement was practically heresy. But some of his followers wrote his words and so we know about it. His name was..."
She stared at the name with a sad smile. "Albert Einstein... he was living here too? Too bad they killed him. In my world, he became a famous person that helped develop something..." But then remembered how people used his invention to turn it to a mass destruction weapon and sighed.
Sorry, Mr Einstein, your death is maybe better for this world? But wait? If he was living here, does that mean...?
