Ruby's voice was sharp as she directed the team. They worked with frantic urgency, spraying Ryan with thick layers of anti-radiation foam before using long-handled scrubbers to scour every inch of his body.
"Easier said than done!" Donna snarled, straining against the resistance. "The scrubber keeps getting caught on the damn armour!"
The dosimeter readings gradually dropped, shifting from deadly to normal levels as the team worked relentlessly to decontaminate him.
"Bring the stretcher! Is the medivac ready?" Ruby barked.
Xuelong gave a curt nod. "Yes. Everything is prepared. We'll move him by air."
Ruby crouched close to Ryan, her voice dropping to a whisper. "You hear that, Ryan? We're taking you to safety. Hang on."
