Unknown Prodigy

"What an arrogant and delusional fatty! Let him be. Later on, he will realize the prowess of this Great Venerable. Hmph!" said Zhou Fengren as he walked through a vast forest, with Shi Bing following beside him.

Zhou Fengren kept rambling about how annoying the fatty was and how he will realize the power of him later on. Shi Bing just laughed it off as he knew he couldn't do anything about his noisy master.

After a few minutes, they came across a small village spanning only a few million miles. A gray-haired youth clad in brown robes stood in front of the entrance. This youth seemed almost dead - his eyes were lifeless. But as he saw Zhou Fengren and Shi Bing near the entrance, a smile grew on his face and it seemed to gain a bit of life.

"Ah... someone found our village... how long has it been since someone came to visit us?" said the gray-haired youth slowly, as he yawned and waves at the duo in the distance.

Zhou Fengren saw the youth and raised his right eyebrow. "Oh? What's a Nine Heavenly Pillar level being doing here? Do those five brats know?"

Shi Bing said, "So he is a Nine Heavenly Pillar level being. I can't seemed to see through him - so that is the case. But why is he here?"

Zhou Fengren flew over to the young man and looked at him. He asked, "Brat, why are you here? I can also sense that brat Lin Qiao's aura on you."

The gray-haired youth smiled wryly as he said, "Senior sure has a keen eye. I cannot see through senior. I am Master Lin Qiao's disciple. He offended the Moon Devil and died... Master sent me here as a last resort to keep me away from the Moon Devil. One day, I will come back and vanquish that damned old devil!" a flash of determination and killing intent appeared in his eyes, sparking life within his lifeless face before it disappeared after a few seconds.

"Hm, how did that brat Lin Qiao even managed to offend that Old Devil? His Sword Dao is indeed not bad, a pity he offended that Old Devil, otherwise he would have become a Dao Venerable." Zhou Fengren said.

"So what brings senior here? Are you not supposed to be in the Divine Realm?" asked the youth.

"Hmph! Such an annoying place. Bunch of brats keep pestering this venerable. Not only that, that old geezer keeps sending down tribulations." said Zhou Fengren.

"Tribulations? The Celestial Emperor? It seems a lot has been happening lately up there. May I know senior's name?" asked the youth.

"You can call this Great Venerable Senior Zhou Fengren." replied Zhou Fengren with a smirk on his face.

'Zhou Fengren?! Isn't that an old monster? Damn it, it's that madman! Even that Old Devil doesn't dare offend him!' thought the youth as he spoke right after, "So it's Great Venerable Zhou Fengren. This junior has heard senior's illustrous name."

"Mhm, not bad. Get this Venerable some food, I'm a bit hungry after all this boring walking and chasing that delusional fatty," said Zhou Fengren.

"Sure Senior, come follow me. Ah, and this junior's name is Chen Tao." replied the youth as he walked forward into the village.

Zhou Fengren and Shi Bing followed Chen Tao into the village. The inhabitants noticed them and were curious as to who the two were.

One middle-aged woman said, "It's been a while since someone came here."

"Indeed. Elder Chen seems to really respect that old man over there? Who could he be?" asked a young brown-haired man.

The village had a happy and welcoming atmosphere, as the inhabitants smiled at the two visitors and bowed them, many welcoming them.

It seemed as if everyone in this village were in harmony - making anyone who comes here feel at ease.

While the three walked around, a small white-haired kid with bright red eyes suddenly clinged onto Zhou Fengren's legs. He looked up at Zhou Fengren in curiosity, his eyes shining at the sight of him.

"Hmm?" said Zhou Fengren as he looked at the child clinging onto his legs. A young woman rushed out and grabbed the kid as she said, "Sorry! My child is still young and lacks some manners!"

Zhou Fengren raised his right hand as he casually made a chopping motion, sending a terrifying streak of sword light towards the child. It seemed as if this sword could cut absolutely everything and anything; physical or metaphysical, daos and such! It was an absolutely domineering strike that will cut any obstacle in its path.

The child's woman was horrified, so was Chen Tao and the other villagers! They knew no one here could stop that streak of sword light. Maybe Chen Tao could, but he would risk offending Zhou Fengren and dying!

The child did not seem to fear this strike, but he seemed excited! A true spectacle to see - primal ancestors and heavenly pillar level entities would be horrified before this strike - yet some random child isn't!

The child made the same chopping motion as Zhou Fengren, albeit he did it with more force compared to Zhou Fengren's casual movements that seemed to flow with the Dao.

The chopping motion released a streak of sword light - but this lacked the power and profoundity of Zhou Fengren's strike. Nevertheless, it seemed as if it was capable of annihilating countless worlds.

Zhou Fengren's sword light disappeared as he smiled and placed the child's sword light between his thumb and index finger, dissipating it.

The villagers were immensely shocked at this sight. The child's mom started sweating all over her body.

'This child! As far as I know, he has never touched the sword! How can he suddenly have his hands as the sword?!' Chen Tao thought.

'Such talent...' Shi Bing thought.

A brown-haired middle-aged man came running over, knelt down and said, "Senior... my child is the little prodigy of our village. Please spare him. He is curious but he doesn't know his boundaries much!"

Zhou Fengren only laughed as he said, "Hahaha! This brat is not bad. I can tell he never touched the sword considering how terrible that sword strike of his is. Nevertheless, it's indeed quite impressive to learn how to use one's limbs as a sword by seeing it being performed once."

The villagers were relieved. They seemed to be excited now that the powerful senior in front of them seemed to acknowledge their village's little prodigy.

"Brat, do you want to become this Great Venerable's disciple?" asked Zhou Fengren.
