Page 92: Settled things

It's the last day before the departure for the Cup Island. Everyone was given this day to settle things which they need to settle since it might be their last day seeing the place. After settling on Cup Island, the team would need to stay there for two months and another ten months in an independent world called dead lands. Basically, they can only return after a year however that is if they would return alive. The sect leader has already oriented everyone who's participating at the death land excursion. He also informed that they would be able to meet some whom they knew. Since they were the representatives from the sect, they will be going as a group however, independent groups from different families can also enter the independent world. It is only that they would not be receiving any favor from the five sects and that they would need to support their own with their resources.

Yue and the rest for example would be given advantages when they would enter the dead lands by joining the exhibition matches. Win or lose, they would be able to receive prizes and winners would have the priority to chose what they want. Independent groups from different families can't join this event since it is only exclusive to the chosen sect disciples. In merchant city, the five major households and their representatives can spectate and can only wait until the independent world will be opened.

For now, everyone went back to their families to say goodbye while Long Bai and the other three have met up to decide what they should do. In a single floor diner called swan plate, they decided to meet up and discuss how they would spend the day. Since the four of them don't have any families anymore, they don't have a place to return to except to each other. They have also decided to wear simple clothing in order not to attract attention anywhere they would go. If people will try to recognize them, they would doubt that they were the famous disciples of the sect.

After Yue ordered her chosen meal, the rest followed afterwards. Everyone had just chosen something expensive from the menu. If this was the past, they would need at least a month to pay everyone's meal. Now, they can afford anything presented on the menu book. At first, the waitress was hesitant to move away from the table after everyone gave their order. She might have thought that the four of them won't be able to pay but after Ah Mu out down his cosmic pouch on top of the table, she hurriedly apologize and went to get the dishes.

"Brother Ah Mu, you should pay all of the meals today since you'll have the most anyway. Don't you agree everyone?" Ling Tian proposed jokingly. Ah Mu who was didn't like the idea of losing resources tried to pass on the baton to someone.

"Ei, brother Ling Tian. Shouldn't sister Yue treat us since she won the martial meet? Isn't her prize twice than what we received? Ah Mu poutingly replied as he tried to make plea with Yue.

"Brother Ah Mu, don't you know who is the richest among us?" Yue pointing her index finger at Long Bai while averting her eyes.

All of the three looked at Long Bai and smiled cutely to get his approval. Since all of them were asking, Long Bai didn't have a choice. It wasn't a problem anyway.

"Alright, alright. I'll take the tab. Eat to your fill."

While waiting for the food to come, they heard a commotion coming from the diner's entrance. Looking at the ones who were entering, they were all holding a wooden sword. It was the same wooden sword Long Bai and company took from certain thugs previously. While everyone inside were starting to panic, Long Bai tried to scan them and listen to their conversations.

"Big brother, are you sure those big families won't be here today? What if you're wrong?"

"Don't worry. I got the news from big boss that all the large families together with the sect are departing for a big competition far away from here. This just tell me that as of today, they won't be bothered with something like us. We now own the streets. Haha!"

"We trust big brother! It's your treat then big brother!"

"Of course, of course! Hahaha! Let's eat till our belly gets full."

According to the scan, they were all at the middle levels of the flesh tempering so there's no threat to them. Only that they might ruin their afternoon meal after all the excitement they felt a while ago.

"Brother Bai, what should we do? It seems like they want to cause trouble?" Ah Mu asked with worried eyes.

"Well, we can't just assume that can we? They might just want to eat just like the others. In addition, these ten guys are all at the middle levels of the flesh tempering. They're not a threat to you."

Just after Long Bai spoke those words, the Blood Gang members started to make a ruckus.

"Everyone! The Blood Gang just reserved the entire diner today! If you don't want any troubles, leave immediately or else you'll suffer! I'll count from ten! nine! eight!"

Those who were afraid hurriedly ran towards the door. After the countdown was done, only the Blood Gang members were left and some four youths still sitting on one table. The rest of the table were emptied even though they just started eating.

"Hahaha! See my brothers? Now we have some meal. This is my treat! Choose a table and eat to your heart's content!"

The owner and the workers were hiding behind the counter and in the kitchen due to fear. Well, except some four individuals who were still waiting for their food.

"Big brother! There are still some kids who did not left. What should we do with them?"

"Huh? Throw them out! They must be too scared to move since they know its the Bloody Gang of the slums!"

"Yes big brother!"

Three underlings approached the table where four kids were still occupying. With an arrogant tone, one of the three slammed his palm on the table.

Wham!

"Scoot out of here or I'll throw you out! Do you hear me?"

The four looked at each other and at the same time yelled, "jack en poy!"

On the table, three hands showed an open palm while only Ah Mu showed a clenched fist. Ah Mu just lost in the game that Long Bai introduced some time ago, the "rock-paper-scissors game".

"Ahaha. Brother Ah Mu, please take care of these three. You've lost so it's your job to deal with them." Long Bai pointing at the blood gang members.

"By the way, after you hit those guys, run outside. Let's drag them out of this place and hit them hard outside. It would be better if they'll lead us to their base so we can deal them altogether." Ling Tian seriously added.

On the other hand, the three underlings were baffled and felt insulted with the unknown actions the four did in front of them. However, hearing that they were talking about trashing them, they immediately got enraged.

"What the heck? What do you think you're doing? Wha.."

Pack! Smash!

Three heads came bashing together followed by three loud thuds on the floor. The three blood members went unconscious and fell heavily on the floor. The other members who were watching from afar were shocked and stunned for a while. They didn't expect like such thing could happen. Before the rest of the blood members can make a move, Ah Mu and company rushed towards the door and exited the place.

"What the, catch them. Don't let those kids run away! Everyone, get them!"

The acting leader was truly angry since three of his brothers were smacked to the ground by a kid. In addition, they even escaped just in front of them.

On the other hand, Long Bai and company were trying to regulate their pace while running towards the slums so that the members who were trying to catch them would not lost behind.

"Huh? Where's sister Yue?" Ah Mu asked after he noticed Yue being missing.

"Ah, don't worry about her. She just took a detour back to the diner to get our order for a take out. She'll catch up." Ling Tian replied.

After running for an entire ten minutes, the group and the blood gang members reached a vacant place in the slum area.

"Big brother! The girl is missing! They might have let her take another route and used themselves as diversion as we were chasing after them."

"Ah sh**t that! That was a waste! Imbeciles!"

All the gang members present were apologizing to him. He really can assert his dominance since he's the strongest among them. Being at the 6th level of flesh tempering while the rest of the members were at the 5th and 4th, it must be one if the solid groups of the gang.

Since they don't have a choice, they just chose to stay with the three who stopped from running. Six ragged adults were surrounding three simple looking teenage- looking kids in an abandoned area of the slums. One of them stayed to take care of the three who were rendered unconscious at the restaurant. Right now,if someone would see the scene, they might accuse the gang members of bullying three youths however, little did they know that their fates were reversed instead.

"Hey brats! Do you know us? Do you know what you did back there?"

Ah Mu who was fond of talking replied with his sense of humor. In the group, everyone would agree that he's the most proactive member in terms of socializing and other related stuff.

"I know! I know! Let me answer. You're the bloody gang! I also know what happened back there. Since I smashed three of your member's head and made them live up to their reputation. I made their nose bleed, which is why it is called Bloody gang! I'm correct right? Ha! ha! ha!"

All the six gang members were totally enraged by the humiliating remarks Ah Mu spoke out. Without any reserve, all of them unleashed their strength at the same time. Ah Mu on the other hand was still laughing to his delight. Considering the situation, Long Bai informed him of his predicament.

"Brother Ah Mu, since it was your fault, you should deal with them. Don't worry, they're only at flesh tempering.

Ah! right! This is your time to shine. Brother Ah Mu, it's your time to become a hero!

Go punish them! Ah Mu, I choose you!"

Long Bai was ecstatic. Back on earth, a famous game had appeared when he was already at an age where he can't openly yell such cheeky line. 'Oh, it's a good feeling!' he thought.

Ah Mu gave off a fading laughter at Long Bai's statement. Seeing that Ling Tian doesn't any intention to help him, he surrendered at the idea of asking for help. Anyway, since he's at the 7th level of visceral tempering, he has the confidence to take on those multiple enemies.

One young man clashed together with six ragged men. Since all of them were holding a wooden sword, they looked like a team of students being beaten by their teacher, wherein Ah Mu was the latter. If one was not struck on their forehead, they'll receive a stab on the lower end of their sternum, on the knees or even on their arms causing them to let go of their weapons. Of course Ah Mu was using his triple combo strikes which he was still improving.

After a three minutes of being battered continuously by a wooden sword, all except one remained unconscious. The acting leader was groveling on the slightly wet ground while trying to endure the pain from all over his body. That time, jist after Ah Mu finished the job, they saw Yue waving at them from a distance pulling four bodies that were tied together while being dragged on the dirty ground.

"Everyone! I was able to get a takeout of the food we ordered a while ago."

Yue was running excitedly towards them while dragging the pitiful bodies of the battered members of the blood gang. She must have encountered them at the diner when she went back. If a fan of her saw her today, her image of a Diety would be surely erased and be replaced by a psychotic girl who loves dragging bodies till they appear hopeless.

"Nice timing sister Yue, I'm starting to feel my hunger after working out. Let your big brother have a tastes of it."

While the two were arguing about when to eat the food, the acting boss of the group who was still conscious slipped out of Ah Mu's watch and ran away. When he was at least 30 meters away, he yelled something.

"You damn kids! I will not forget this! I'll find you in the future and get back at you! I'm going to kill you all!!!"

He yelled with all his might like he was trying to express all of his frustrations. Since he thought he was on a safe distance, he even yelled curse words the four never heard of before. After he was satisfied, he continued to run away.

Ah Mu who was about to go after the guy was stopped by Ling Tian.

"Ah Mu, don't. Let's follow him instead. I strongly believe he would lead us to their base."

Everyone saw the dark expression Ling Tian gave while looking at the direction where the man went off.

"Brother Ling Tian, is there a problem?" Long Bai asked. It was the first time that they saw Ling Tian this serious. Although he noticed that his expression changed when the blood gang members showed up in the diner, he thought he was just worried.

"Uou see brother Bai, after joining the sect, I learned something about my past. I conducted some investigations myself and learned that the Bloody gang might have something to do with my father's death. Brother Bai, I have a request, please let me handle the leader of this gang. I just actually learned this recently and was planning to go there myself. I didn't expect them to show up like this. I'm sorry if I'm dragging everyone into this."

"Drag us all you want in your problems. Brother Ling Tian, we've been together for a long time already. Do you still feel us like strangers?"

Ah Mu sometimes can really talk. It resonated with everyone and this made Ling Tian appreciate them more.

"Well then, I should treat you with something grand after we finish this."
