Friend or Foe?

{P.O.V. Jennifer Ross-Ryans}

Two weeks have already gone by in a flash. During those weeks, Kendrick has been working a lot because of how busy he is. It seems like I'm invisible to him or something. It isn't the greatest feeling in the world to feel this way. I actually really miss him for some strange reason. To keep me busy while he is at work, I have been shopping and visiting with Cass. I have also been sneaking into that room filled with all those instruments. Watching those videos that are label Band Practice.

Watching the first one, I thought maybe the music would be all preppy like. Instead, to my surprise, it was Rock. I would never guess that Kendrick would be in that kind of music. The best part of watching the videos was Kendrick use to be the drummer of the band. Not only the drums, but he can also play guitar, and he could play the violin. When I say violin, I don't mean classical boring music; I mean Hardcore Rock. The way he played was amazing and really good. Another person in the band was Nolan he played the guitar. Bass guitar was played by a guy named Porter Jenkins. The singer of the group was a guy named Zach Montgomery.

The moment I heard Zach's name, I remember how the media made a big deal. It was in the newspapers, online, and anyway it could get out. The whole world got to know about Kendricks and Zach's friendship, turning them into enemies. The news came out five years ago; now it's old news, but it's still a huge deal for some. I know about it because I worked for Kendrick, and it was my job to know who the company's enemy was. I wonder what happened between them? Even when the news came out five years ago, nobody really knew why the two best friends separated.

Finishing up some french fries, I continue my shopping in the mall. I'm looking for a dress to wear to the charity ball which is in two months. Kendrick said he could have a professional do my dress. Then I told him I wanted to choose it. Here I am at the mall looking, to be honest, I have no idea what I'm looking for. Now I'm reconsidering Kendrick's offer for a professional. Walking into this beautiful boutique store looking at some clothes. Picking out a beautiful short and sleeveless dark blue dress.

"That dress would look amazing on you." A woman compliments. Looking at her, it was the same woman Kendrick was fighting with. Something about her is making y gut scream to stay away from her. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to startle you."

"No worries, I'm fine." Telling her nicely back.

"I'm Lucia Tanners" She holds her hand out while introducing herself.

"Jennifer Ryans." Shaking her hand while introducing myself.

"Your not Kendrick's new bride, are you?"

"Yes, I am." How does she know Kendrick?

"I'm an old friend of his."

"He has never mentioned you."

"Well, that Kendrick for you his not very talkative when it comes talking about himself." She got that right. "Are you shopping here alone?"

"Yes.." Why is she asking me this?

"If you want, you can shop with the girls and me. We can help and give you some good and bad pointers on the clothes you pick."

"As fun as that would be, I don't want to intrude."

"Nonsense, you're not intruding. The other girls will be thrilled." Putting her arm around my shoulder, she guides me to the other girls. They were sitting in front of a fitting room gossiping.

"Girls, this Jennifer Ryans Kendrick new bride." Lucia introduces me. "Jennifer, this is Camila, Donna, and Lacey." Camila has raven hair, Donna has light brown hair, and Lacey has dark brown hair. "Jennifer was looking at this dark blue dress. Don't you think this would look amazing on her?"

The girls agreed with her pushing me into the dressing room so I can try it on. Going out of the dressing room, they all coed. About how amazing it looked on me and how some black wedges would look cute with it. We all tried different things at different stores and gave our opinions on clothes. I really didn't think it would fun, but it actually was also nice to hang out with other housewives. We talked about boys and all kinds of things. Lucia seemed very curious about my love life before Kendrick. Told her about previous boyfriends, even the one before Kendrick.

"Tell more about this Carson Jackson," Lucia asks curiously.

"I dated him for two years, and then we broke up. We have been for two years and a half, " Telling her. "He and I were college sweethearts the last time I talked to him. He was starting his own business."

"Can I ask why you broke up?"

"He wanted to get married, and I didn't," I remember the night Carson was so devastated. "It happened right after we graduated from college."

"And now you're married to Kendrick Ryans."

"Yes, I am." She looks at her watch.

"Well, we have been shopping all day. I got to get home to my husband. We should do this again sometime; here is my number." She hands me a piece of paper with her cell number. "It was nice to meet you, Jennifer. Do you have a ride home?"

"I just need to call Braxton to come and get me."

"Oh, don't bother calling him. I will take you home."

"Thank you." Lucia gave me a ride home.

Putting my stuff away upstairs in the bedroom. Kendrick finally got home. I was excited to tell him about my day. I even put on the sexy dark blue dress with some cute black wedges wrapped around my legs.

"See, you had a busy day," Kendrick says as he comes into the walk-in closet.

"I did have a busy day," Telling him excitedly.

"I'm guessing that dress you have on is something you bought."

"Yes, and the wedges." Pointing to my shoes.

"Very nice." He says with a half-smile and playfully. He walks to his side of the closet and starts to strip his work suit off. "I'm glad you had a good day."

"I did. I got to meet a few other housewives today."

"Who did you meet?"

"Camila Donners, Donna Bennet, Lacey Whirls, and Lucia Tanners." He froze and looked at me like he had a mad but concerning look.

"Stay away from Luccia Tanners and her group of Vipers." He says in a deep, demanding, and intimidating voice. "They do nothing but cause trouble to anyone that enters their lives."

"They seemed like nice people." Saying defending them.

"They're not nice. Stay far away from them, do understand?"

"Give me a reason why I shouldn't? besides their not good people."

"Lucia Tanners is Zach Mongontmery's wife. Is that reason good enough for you?"

"Just because you and Zach don't like each other doesn't mean Lucia, and I have to dislike each other."

"Jennifer, you will not go anywhere near her, do you hear me!" Kendrick's voice getting louder.

"Why do you care if I'm friends with her or not? You don't really care about me. If you did, you would have paid attention to me these past two weeks!"

"I'm trying to protect you because of how much I care! But if you truly believe that I don't care, then continue your new founded friendship!"

"I will!" Leaving the closet and slamming the bedroom door, I head downstairs.

**(P.O.V. Lucia Tanners-Montgomery)**

I couldn't help myself when I saw her in the same store I was in. For weeks now, I have been trying to plan a way to meet her. The moment I saw her, I knew it was time to make my move. I really didn't think my plan would fall in place so well. I'm going to make her believe I am her best friend and get all her dirty secrets with time. Then I'm going to destroy her with those secrets. With time her reputation will be damaged then Kendrick will have no choice but to get rid of her for the sake of the Ryans name.

Putting on some makeup for Zach company cocktail party. Zach enters the bedroom. All dressed up in a nice suit.

"Lucia, baby, we got to get going." He politely says

"I will be right there, babe." Telling him while putting my lipstick on.

"I will meet you downstairs." Taking his leave from the bedroom. Soon, Kendrick, you won't have to deal with that wife of yours. And I will no longer have to compete for who has your heart. Finishing up my lipstick, grabbing my handbag, turning off the bedroom light, meeting my husband downstairs.
