Bonus Chapter

"We have to be prepared?"Evie asks confusedly. "What more could come our way. We are already stranded as it is."

Irye chuckles, stands up and stretches, making a humming sound. In the process of stretching, she sees Gerrard and Claude walking towards her.

She must have forgotten about showing her other self to the whole family the day before. She doesn't show any reaction as it has not knocked her yet.

"Hey guys..."She smiles at them as they stop by her."You guys look dead. It's scary"she teases.

"I think we should be saying that" Claude retorts. "What was that yesterday? You seemed different and strange"

Irye suddenly remembers. Scenes of what happened the day before flash in her head and she builds up tension.

"Oh right.... I almost forgot."Irye's speaks up in a low tone.

"You almost forgot? To you this is something to be taken light huh?..."Claude asks in a serious tone only to be tapped by Gerrard.

Gerrard knows where things will get to if Claude speaks any longer. He shakes his head to Claude, implying that he stops right there.

Claude backs down, unwillingly. Gerrard walks closer to Irye and puts his hands on her shoulder.

"Can you explain to us what all that was?"Gerrard asks gently unlike someone. "Anything... you can tell us anything".

"I don't think it's the right time yet. I also don't know what really is going on with me but...."Irye tries to say something but Claude cuts in.

"What? You don't know..... You want us to believe that?"

Gerrard hits him and his eye contact with Claude almost make Claude flinch.

"What?!...Am getting restless here. You should make her say something worth hearing"Claude yells, not minding Gerrard's actions to keep him shut.

Irye sighs deeply, nervous that her family too will abandon her if they knew who really she is.

Even her biological mother abandoned her not to talk of people who didn't bear any pain in pushing her into the world. She thinks about this all the while Claude was saying all those things to her.

"But look on the bright side...Evie didn't abandon you when she found out and these people are caring of you"She encourages herself.

"Well what do you have to say?"Claude snaps her back to reality.

"Even if some of them can be really annoying"Irye smiles to herself making sure they don't notice or else it will be taken as she is making fun of them when they are serious.

"I think you should be thanking her for saving your butt out there not stand here complaining and saying things you don't know."They turn to Evie who's walking to them.

"You should keep it down... You don't want to let the whole world know."Evie stands near Irye and puts an arm around her shoulder.

"Aren't you curious on what's wrong with her?"Gerrard asks but Evie keeps an expressionless face.

Gerrard doesn't understand at first why Evie doesn't seem to be fazed by Irye's previous actions.

When realisation hits him, he gets to know that Evie must've known already.

"You already knew"he says and Claude becomes surprised.

"And yet still you walk and play around with her?"Claude is surprised. "Can't you see what she is? Didn't you see her eyes?"

"And what has that got to do with me being close to her. I don't criticise your unusual habits"Evie is getting angry.

Irye just stands there not sure what will happen if she tells them about her. When she notices Evie getting angry, she speaks up.

"Let me tell you...I will tell you".

Evie looks at her worriedly, knowing how much Irye has suffered from her other side both physically and mentally.

Evie looks in her eyes and Irye smiles, assuring her that it's okay.

They join Grams and Mae under the tree.

"I have something to tell you guys"Irye says.

She looks at the baby in Grams arms and smiles.

"I know you don't understand what you saw yesterday. I will explain it to you"she continues.

"My eyes have been changing color for some time now. That's the main reason why I wore dark glasses. The whole time I wore the glasses, my eyes were black and I didn't want you to notice so I wore contact lenses of my eye color."she pauses, thinking of how to break the rest to them.

"It normally changes color when am angry and I lose my consciousness and end up losing control of myself. It's like someone else is out and am locked in. That is why you said you heard Grams telling Dr. Joe that I almost killed Anne. It really happened some days after I had that dream. Am sorry for hiding it from you. I was scared you will abandon me like my mother did."

Irye tells them everything that happened all the time she lost control of herself.

They spend the day taking in all what Irye has said to them.

It's obvious what decisions what Grams and Gerrard will make but Mae and Claude will keep a little long on theirs.

They contemplate on whether to stay close to Irye or not.
