Let's Drink

I gotta say, trying oceanic trenches is really difficult. After a little thought, the fact that I even found a single trench is pretty lucky. After another few weeks of searching since the first one I found, I haven't found anymore. But on the other hand, I've been eating non-organic stuff like the sand or various rocks like a lot of it. I've eaten more of this stuff than my total biomatter, 249,542kg. Just a little bit more and I will be able to complete another Ouroboros requirement. This whole time I've been dragging my mouth on the seafloor passively picking up and eating everything in the way during my trench search.

With another hour of passively eating up the seafloor, I reach the target amount and the notification arrives.

"Condition met, 250,00kg of non-organic material consumed. 4/15 Ouroboros requirements have been met. New information is now available."

"While initially thought to be the spawn of the Titan Leviathan, the Titan has denied the claim, calling Ouroboros an artificial amalgamation. The original Ouroboros was a creation of the Keeper of Eternity through the use of his powers and genetic engineering."

... Something suddenly annoys me now that I know that the Ouroboros was an artificial creation made by him. But at the same time, the thought of killing him with his own creation sounds wonderful. Although I can't help but get the feeling I'm playing right into his hands. I guess I can keep at this for now though, at the end of the day the Ouroboros is easily the strongest monster I can possibly evolve into.

I wonder where I am right now though. Random thought, I know. But I haven't been to the surface in months, not since I left the Isle of Eon. Guess I can surface and check out what's around. Moving towards the surface, as the sunlight begins to shine through the water I quickly notice a couple of large shadows on the surface. As I continue to approach I realise that the two shadows are a couple of ships... oh shit. At my current speed, I don't think I can stop in time before colliding with the hull.

Even with my attempts to stop I still end up smashing into the bottom of one of the ships hull, piercing through. I do manage to prevent myself from going further than the initial collision. A quick scan of the area I ran through gives off the feeling of a storage room. And that smell... alcohol. I haven't had a good drink, no, more like I haven't had any alcohol ever since I first died. There is a lot of sound coming from above, the collision of steel and the blasting of spells, all hands are probably busy fighting with that other ship I saw. Little do they know that this ship is currently slowly sinking and if I move away from the hole I made it would sink even faster, and of course if the ship does sink, all this booze will go to waste. Much like good food, I can't possibly let such a large amount of perfectly good alcohol go to waste.

Ignoring the commotion coming from above I begin to break all the barrels of alcohol and have myself a solo party. *Hic*... you know, this stuff ain't as great as the booze back home but it's not bad. Not bad at all, *hic*... actually this stuff... is pretty strong. tronger dan most things I've had before.

*clank*bang*crash*

ugh... will those fuckers up there be quiet! I'm trynna drink har! Screw it! I'll silence em myself... wait I'm gonna hurl... blah! Ok that's uh... a little better. Alrighty, now I'll go make the noise stop. Ascending once more, I push up and crash through the deck, exposing myself to the chaotic battle between the two ships... shit, I'm gonna do it again... blah!

With that out of the way, I get a good look at the people around me. One side is wearing fur type clothing while the other has people with nicer looking clothing behind what seems to be a handful of adventurers. So this is probably a raiding team that found a merchant ship, explains the goods I found below and all the noise.

The combatants all nearly come to a complete stop as they see me rise from below one of the ships and immediately vomit upon revealing myself. Initially fielding slightly pale expression that quickly turns into a blank and dumbfounded expression as they see my vomit right on top of one of them. Not my best entrance.

"Ahh!! It burns! Help m--"

The man right beneath me who ended up covered in my vomit seems to have melted, *hic*... huh, neat.

"You have slain--"

Not now system, I'm busy.

"Now listen, *hic*, up you lot! I'm trying ta droonk here, keep quiet 'ill ya!"

Hmm... I may have slurred some words there, well I think I still got then point across. I begin to descend back into the storage room when an ice shard hits my back and an arrow bounces off my front.

"I wa gonna let ya off cause I wanted to keep drinking, but you asked for... hold on... I'm gonna hurl again... Blah! Ok, that's better. Now then, Acid Beam! Ice Breath!"

Despite only wanting to make them shut up, I end up fighting instead. Well, whatever, this is still one way to accomplish my initial goal.

A fireball from one direction, meet my Water Breath. A volley of arrows from the other direction, just smack them with my tail. Ice Shards from another, I'm immune so ignore it. The three-way battle between the two ships and me rage on for about ten minutes until I get around to killing each and every single person around. What a beautiful sight to drink to, debris floating around, blood-soaked water, and I even have plenty to eat.

"You have slain..."

"You have slain..."

"You have gained..."

"You have received a new title..."

Ignoring all of the System's notifications I continue to grab the remaining barrels of alcohol with my tail and chug them down as I snack on the remains of the sailors and the ship.

"Ooh ya taht rery hit da spot. Wow, everythin' be spinning."

Guess it's time to get back unda. Wait... I'm gonna hurl again, blah! Ok, now it's time ta go! Ouch, when did this wall come from? Whatever I'm kinda tired from all that drinking, think I'll take a nap.

***

Ugh... my head is killing me. what happened? I can't remember I damn thing. Last I recall I was going up to the surface, but I don't remember anything after that... someone kill me... So where am I? A quick look tells me I'm in a trench... wait, what? How did this happen? How did I get here? Hold on, this thing in front of me isn't a rock wall... it's bone. Analysis.

"Rib Bone of a Trench Dragon. It's very large."

ugh... keep it down, my head is torturing me. But really what happened during my memory lapse? I think I vaguely remember hearing some notifications, but I can't recall what they were exactly. Status.
