Handing Over The Goods

It's been a few days since we put down the Archidux's rebellion and we've since returned to Maia. I don't know the specifics behind it, but Aurelia is going to be using some kind of magic device to send an announcement to every major city in the Empire regarding recent events. But before that, Lia and Aurelia arranged for a meeting with Milla tonight at the Interdimensional restaurant. Lia arranged for Milla to show up tonight with several people to carry the materials need for the development of the guns. And apparently, the restaurant has a third floor designed for large parties and Aurelia managed to work out some kind of deal with the boss to rent it out to us for the night.

As the sun sets our group of four arrives at the restaurant first and we are soon brought to the third floor by Slithori, the Lamia receptionist. But rather than moving straight up, we took our time since Vorenia wanted to look around, not that there is much to see. I guess for most people in Grauntia the items and decorations are completely new, but in my eyes, it's just normal everyday objects like TVs and other modern devices.

But Vorenia doesn't get to spend much time looking around as we see Milla and several of her subordinates along with a handful of Dwarves enter the reception area. With everyone together, we all head up towards the third floor. As we pass by the second floor's private rooms, we come up to another stairway leading us up through a large doorway, revealing a large ballroom that's clearly meant for parties. Scattered around the room are various tables with different flowers decorating each one.

"There are menu's on the tables and each table has a button to call for a server to order food. I hope you all enjoy your visit today," Slithori says as she leaves the room.

"Before we do anything I'm going to let everyone know this now, if anyone orders any food then it's on them to pay for it. It cost a lot for me to be able to reserve this room tonight so I won't be paying for anyone's food, especially yours, Cordelia. Now that we've gotten that's out of the way, let's move onto the main topic, Cordelia, cough them up," says Aurelia.

At the cost of most of the eyes in the room, I bring out the guns we had gotten previously and the blueprints for the sniper. Additionally, Aurelia had also handed over some other guns and blueprints over the past few days which of course had to be pulled out from my stomach as well. I begin to use my Metal Creation to create the unique raw materials needed as Aurelia begins to explain that the weapons use a metal specific to Lausiel to allow for mana to flow through and charge each shot.

"Now for the reason why we facilitated this meeting here rather than Cordelia and Lia returning to Talonia. I want to have the two of them accompany me to Mons, I get the feeling that we can push inwards to the heartland and see for ourselves just what lay beyond the mountain. I'll hand over any treasure that I pick up to the Khaganate and they can keep anything they receive for themselves. And if I'm not wrong, then there should be a way for Cordelia to get what she needs to evolve further in Mons as well," Aurelia says.

"I'm going and I intend to drag Lia with me regardless of what you decide," I say while creating more raw materials.

"What's your take on this ordeal, Lia?" Milla asks.

"I want to go. Mons has been a mystery for scholars all over the world and if we really can get past the mountains by the shore then I don't want to give up this chance."

"Fine, I will sanction this trip, but try not to take too long, any more than five years will be a problem. I'll just grab one of your younger siblings and make them do your work. But your Majesty, Aurelia, from what I understand you just dealt with a rebellion, how do you intend to settle the aftermath if you're going to be away?"

"Simple," Aurelia says as she showcases her doppelganger. As she dismisses it, she continues, "I intend to have my doppelganger here to talk care of tomorrows speech and deal with any other administrative task that needs my attention. A truly wonderful ability, I can be on the other side of the world and still take proper care of the Empire."

"Is that so... actually, I have a request of my own. If I'm not wrong, then this speech should be about the rebellion and how you put it down, right? I want you to emphasise the role Cordelia played in resolving this conflict, specifically as a Spirit Dragon. The more people aware of her existence as a Spirit Dragon the better."

"That's easy, no problem at all. Cordelia, Lia, we are leaving for Ponte Mare as soon as our business is finished here."

"What about me?" Vorenia asks.

"I need you to stay here and assist my doppelganger ."

"But I want to go with you as well, my Lady."

"Don't be like that, I need someone capable around to assist my doppelganger, I couldn't ask anyone other than you to do this."

"Hmm... well, if that's the case then I suppose there's no choice," Vorenia says with a big smile. Thankfully, she didn't hear Aurelia mumble how easy she is to deal with.

As I continue to create more metals for Milla's group to take home, I decide to look through my status and find that I have a new mutation that I can pick called 'Spacial Sense'. From it the description, it will allow me to sense fluctuations in space but the cost is massive, being the highest cost mutation yet at 40,000kg of biomatter. it seems like it might lead to more spacial related mutations in the future, but as it stands I don't have enough biomatter stored up yet, so I can only put it on the back burner for now.

After about an hour I fill up all the bags that Milla brought as we begin to take our leave. As say goodbye to Milla and leave the restaurant, Lia, Aurelia, and I split up from Vorenia and Aurelia's doppelganger to begin our trip to Ponte Mare.
