Episode 2 "King Arthur and Magic"

Viol would always go to the library after dinner, pick up the books he was interested in, and then go to his room. Since no one else used the library in general but his father, there was no one who could interfere with him. Today was no different. In his room, he was immersed in reading the books he'd picked up from the library. Although Viol is a bookworm and has read many books, his favorite book was a storybook that was hundreds years old. the pages of book were went to yellow, and even the author was unknown. This storybook told The Story of King Arthur, the greatest king in history.

The story of King Arthur, who united 4 Kingdoms for the first and last time, was born with the sign "King" for the first time in history. He defeated the demon king and expelled the Devils from this world, and was awarded with this nickname: "God of Kings". According to the story, King Arthur and his twenty-four friends from the Four Kingdoms he collected, together with the soldiers of the Four Kingdoms, he controlled the largest armies in history and waged a great war on the Demon King. The war lasted for years and millions of lives were extinguished. Nevertheless, against all odds, King Arthur managed to defeat The Demon King and bring peace to the world.

Whenever Viol read this story, his heart started pounding, his throat knotted, and his eyes twinkled with hope. Even if he didn't know if the story in the book was true, even if he was described as 'trash', even if he was completely alone, he wanted to be a hero, like King Arthur, one day.

It was his greatest dream.

It was only a few hours before sunrise, but Viol still hadn't slept. He didn't want to sleep, but he knew if he wont sleep he wouldn't be able to get up in the morning, and if he didn't, they'd go to the picnic without him. Although he didn't want to go with his family, he didn't want to piss off his father. He knew the consequences would be severe.

He felt he had to go to the bathroom when he was about to go to bed after packing up and hiding his books. Viol's room was downstairs, and the restroom was upstairs. He sighed deeply and, reluctantly, made his way to the bathroom.

And after he was done with the toilet, he was going to his room fast, which was when he heard some whispers from Catarina's room.

-" Everything goes according to plan, my lady."the voice that did not belong to Catarina. Although Viol did not recognize the voice, he felt like he had heard it before.

-"Good. I don't want any mistakes. Be careful and make sure that Thomas doesn't suspect anything."

- "Yes, Lady Catarina."

Viol stopped and listened to the whispers, but he didn't understand anything. He thought it was a plan for his father's upcoming birthday.

"Well, never mind."he thought. He shrugged his shoulders and quickly decided to go to his room. He didn't want to go around much.

It didn't matter to Viol what Catarina was up to. Although Catarina assigned him to be a maid in the house, other than that, she had done nothing to Viol. That's why Viol didn't hate Catarina either. He didn't want to meddle in her business and alienate Catarina because he didn't want to make Catarina hate him.

When he got to his room, he put out the gas lamp and looked up at the sky before going to bed. Eternal Darkness was lit by the glow of thousands of stars. As if the universe wanted to prove the existence of God, it fascinated people with this breathtaking view. Viol smiled, joining both hands on her chest. He prayed, for everything to be beautiful and for a happy future.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Viol was slowly awakened by the sounds of the sun and birds hitting his face through his curtain. As soon as he woke up, he took a shower and started getting ready and waiting for other family members. And while he was waiting, he kept reading his books. If there was anything else viol loved as much as the story of King Arthur, it was magic. He loved reading books about magic and learning how mana works, even though he couldn't use it. According to the book, Magic was a God-given power used to manipulate the mana of your body and its surroundings. According to the number you were born with, the growth rate of the pool of mana, the understanding of mana and the power of magic would be certain.

There was no pool of mana, as Viol was born "The Joker". So he couldn't use magic. That's why people nicknamed him "Trash". In this world, with the exception of "Joker", all figures and signs had a pool of mana.

Viol never thought, borning as "Joker" was a bad thing. He always believed that the" Joker " sign was special and that one day he could solve the mystery of the sign and use it with all his might. That's when he could have been a kind, honest, strong and cool hero like King Arthur. The odds were endless and there was always hope. Just like the sky he looked at last night.
