Chapter 51: Death of a Pirate

After destroying the wannabe Dragon Gods, and freeing the slaves of said wannabe Gods, Soren made his way back to Sabaody, where his presence was immediately known to the Marines, when people began to gossip about him, and the rumors ended up reaching the Marine base stationed on Sabaody.

[So he's come back… That idiot is really trying to get himself killed]: bell-mere

When Bell-mere heard the rumors of Soren's reappearance on Sabaody, she immediately left the base in search of him, but she didn't have to search long, as after she got far enough away from the base, Soren appeared in front of her, shocking her.

[Hello, young Lieutenant… Or should I say, my young sexy wife]: soren

When Bell-mere heard Soren's words, a small blush appeared on her face, but was quickly replaced with an angry expression, as she began to shout towards Soren, while beating his chest with her hands.

Soren just looked at Bell-mere with a smile, as he watched the tears fall from her face, before he caressed her face, and began to explain his plan, as well as tell her that everything will be fine.

[Don't worry, I already killed everyone in the World Government, and if the Marines still wish to come after my head, then I'll just die then]: soren

When Bell-mere heard Soren's plan, she began to wipe the tears away from her eyes, as she then nodded and asked.

When Bell-mere heard the in depth version of the plan, worry was written on her face, as she had thoughts of a way that the plan might fail.

Bell-mere sighed, but did as Soren asked, and put him in some Sea Stone cuffs, made to keep Devil Fruit users weak and compliant. As Bell-mere brought Soren back to base, she passed multiple Marines that were dispatched to find Soren, and when they saw Soren in Bell-mere's capture, they had thoughts of stealing her capture, but one look from Soren made the thoughts of those Marines disappear, as they felt that even captured and weakened, Soren would still kill them in seconds.

When Bell-mere appeared with Soren in toe, all the higher ups came to take over, while Bell-mere was taken elsewhere to be given the rewards, which were a total of 2 Billion Berries, and a promotion to rear Admiral, and while the promotion to such a rank seems like too much, it was actually too little considering Soren's fighting prowess, so logically, catching Soren would be a feat on accomplishable by a God.

[What was that?... You said Red Devil Soren has been captured?... That's great! We must hold a public execution for him in 7 days… Make sure the entire world knows that someone as dangerous as him can't just kill the Celestial Dragons, and destroy the World Government, even if they did deserve to die]: ???

After the call with the Fleet Admiral, the commander of the Sabaody Marine base led the ship that took Soren to Impel Down. Soren was kicked and punched by the Marines, and he just took all the hits, as he didn't retaliate, and kept silent the whole ride. After reaching Impel Down, Soren was brought down through the levels, until he reached the 6th level, making him think that this would be where he would spend his time until he is called for execution, but what surprised him most, was that Soren was then brought down another set of stairs, into the 7th level, a level made completely of Sea Stone, and there was nobody kept on this level.

[What is this level… Aren't there only supposed to be 6 levels?]: soren

Soren for the first time since his capture spoke, making the group of Marines shout in anger as they began punching and kicking Soren, but due to him not feeling their attacks, he didn't retaliate.

[Shut the hell up!... Who told you, you could talk!... This was the same cell the previous Pirate King spent his time in until his last moments, and you will meet the same fate]: marine

Soren just gave a slight smile, before he was brought to the center of the gigantic room, where he was forced to his knees, as they stripe him of his red coat, showing off his bare chest that were covered in scars from training when he was younger, and Sea Stone chains that connected to the walls, were brought over, and cuffed around Soren's arms, as they shackled him in place, before tightening the chains, making his arms stretch outward.

[Enjoy your last days of life, you damn Pirate!]: marine

The Marine who spoke, hocked a luggie, and spit on Soren, before he left the room, leaving Soren alone, as his anger grew due to the disrespect shown by the Marine.

[Damn fool… I let you beat me, but you took it too far with your dirty mouth… I'll make sure to kill you before I leave]: soren

Soren's whispers went unheard, as he was the only one alone in that cell, and after 7 days of constant torture, it was Soren's day of execution, and he was brought out from Impel Down. Soren had been starved for 7 days, and over that time, he was visited by Marines who would come and torture him, and one of them even noticed that Soren had his sword still on his side, and upon trying to make an excuse to take it, he tried to take it, only for it to be too heavy, and he left dejected, but not before taking out his frustration on Soren's body, as he slashed and shot Soren, making wounds that would turn into future scars. Soren's hair was in dishevel, as his body was covered in dried blood, and dirt, while even though he was starved, he didn't appear to be starved. Soren was then brought to a gigantic stage, and was placed next to a man with long black hair, with a tattoo of a purple skull with a white mustache on his back.

'So Ace's execution was also moved up due to my execution being held… that means the War of the Best will take place soon': soren

Soren began looking around, and noticed that hundreds of thousands of Marines ranging from Recruits all the way to Rear Admiral's, looking towards the shores as if waiting for something to happen, while Sengoku and all the other Admirals were standing not too far off from the execution platform, while Ace happened to still be asleep, waiting for someone to come rescue him.

'*Sigh*... So I guess I'll need to wait for a bit, until the snails start recording': soren

After a few more moments, Soren was able to sense something far off in the distance, slowly approaching, while Sengoku took the stage, as the snails that were broadcasting began rolling, letting sengoku speak to the whole world who were watching.

[Today is the day for the execution of two well known pirates, Fire Fist Ace, and Red Devil Soren… These two took the Marines as a joke, and have cause massive damages to the reputation of the Marines, and the public execution of both of these individuals will be a message to all those pirates watching, that WE the Marines, are no pushovers waiting to be messed with, and we will take you down for Justice!...]: sengoku

Sengoku then began explaining Ace's background, and Family, while Ace was denying it, while explaining the Whitebeard is his father, and after a few moments, the war started, as the thing Soren felt far off in the distance, had finally arrived. Soren then watched as Whitebeard appeared, and the fight began, as all the Marines began to fight against the Whitebeard pirates and their allies.

'I guess there's a change of plans… I don't need to spout World Domination nonsense… I'll just die in this war': soren

Soren then sat back and watched as everything began to play out, as Luffy appeared, while shouting for both Ace and Soren, as his brother, and his crew mate were being executed.

'Looks like Luffy's here… this is turning out quite nicely… Should I let Ace live?': soren

Soren then watched as Luffy began running towards both him and Ace, while Marines began attacking Luffy, only to be punched away, or taken by other pirates, as the path was cleared for Luffy to make his way up to the platform, only to be surrounded by a huge group of Marines, as he crouched and shouted.

[AAAACCCEEEEE!!!... SOOORRREENNN!!!... I'M COMING TO SAVE YOU!!!]: luffy

Luffy then released a strong Conquers Haki that covered the entire battlefield, before disappearing, leaving thousands of Marines unconscious as they fell to the ground, even the executioners fell unconscious.

'He's got one hell of a Haki… He'll make it as Pirate King': soren

Soren then seen it was time to release himself, as he got up off his knees, shocking all the Admirals, as they tried to move to suppress Soren, but as they appeared before him, Soren broke the cuffs with his pure strength, shocking the Admirals, as Soren's disheveled hair began to sway and shake in the wind from the pressure he began to leak.

[I'm sorry, but I got tired of playing captured damsel in distress]: soren

Soren then sent a punch towards the very first Admiral in his way, being the magma man known as Akainu. Soren's fist was covered in Armament Haki, as he sent a powerful punch towards Akainu's stomach, making him cough up some blood, as he was sent flying back into one of the other Admirals, making them both fly back.

[Wow, I thought I held back a lot there… Oh well]: soren

Soren then looked over to Ace, as he crushed his Sea Stone cuffs, and picked him up like a bag of luggage, and jumped off the platform, and landed next to Luffy.

[Hey, Luffy… I guess this is a weird reunion… I'll leave this in your hand, I trust you can get him out of here]: soren

[Soren… ACE!... Thank you, but where are you going?]: luffy

[I'll be back, I just gotta go take care of some idiots]: soren

[Alright!... Then I'll be waiting for you back on that Old man's ship]: luffy

[Then I'll see you there]: soren

Soren then ran back into the battlefield, as he unsheathed his sword, before he began killing hundreds of Marines every minute, before he used his Earth Magic to create a massive land mass as it broke up the ice in a 50 meter radius, making all the Marines stumble and fall, before Soren went back to his massacre. After killing all the Marines in a 20 meter radius, Soren took his sword, and carved a single message into the earth, before stabbing his sword deep into the ground, and gave a quick glance at the words he wrote before continuing his advance into the battlefield.

To those who wish to become the world's strongest Swordsman, I leave you a single task. Pull this sword, and use it in your Journey to the top, this sword has fought Mihawk to a Draw.

Soren then rushed up to the Admiral's and sent a few kicks and punches, before letting himself get beat up for a while, making him retreat, while shouting a single sentence.

[Damn Marines!... I'll be taking you out with me, then!... Everyone! Retreat if you value your life!... Elemental Destruction!!!]: soren

Soren began to float into the sky, as a bunch of elements began to swirl and gather above his head, and form a gigantic ball of energy that sent fear down the backs of everyone present.

[W-What kind of Devil Fruit is that!]: Sengoku

Soren then made the energy begin to go wild, as he began to act like it was out of control, before the energy began to explode and cause a bunch of black smoke to blind everyone present for a few moments, while Soren used this cover to disappear, while leaving some tattered clothing. Once the smoke cleared, everyone noticed that nothing remained, except a few pieces of tattered clothing that were burned and singed at their ends, shocking everyone, as the whole battlefield went silent, but soon a single voice was heard, breaking the entire silence.

[SOOORRREENNNN!!!!]: luffy

Everyone looked over to the gigantic boat known as Moby Dick, as they saw the ship slowly start to depart, while Luffy and Ace had left with the boat. And after what happened registered in Sengoku's mind, he shouted out orders to those around him.

[Quickly!... Go chase down the escaping Pirates!... As for the others, Red Devil Soren has died, that means his Devil Fruit should regrow close by in a few months... Go hunt it down, and bring it to the HQ]: sengoku

All the remaining Marines began to move out, while Sengoku himself left for his office, as he knew it would be troublesome to chase down a Yonko, as Akainu and two other Admirals are out of commission. Soren on the other hand, had disappeared, and flew back to Cocoyashi village, where he had Bell-mere wait for him, and upon his arrival, he hid his face with a cloak, and went back to Bell-mere's house.
