With one hand holding the glowing silver book, the other is holding my cellphone out so I can communicate with Teo when I need to. My screen brightens for a moment and I see that Calvin texted me he has eyes on the Headmistress and Nelle in the dining hall. My training with Morwenna would start in about twenty minutes, so that doesn't leave enough time for her to come back to her office before heading to the courtyard where we are supposed to meet. 

I respond and tell him to keep an eye on them, just in case. I don't want to be here longer than twenty minutes anyway, so we need to hurry. 

Lei has been quiet since I was able to unlock the spell that let us into this passageway. I don't know what overcame me, but it was like a knowing. A feeling. My body knew what to do, even though I have never done it before. 

A slithering sound on the rocks catches my attention. "What was that?" I ask while holding the book higher to light the tunnel.
