Shut Out

Ansem tripped over and fell. Tears rushed down his face with a scared expression seeing the man tread heavily towards him with a bat. He was sure he would get hit again...like yesterday, day before yesterday and for the past 2 years. He was only 10 years .

He came from a family of dominant-Alphas, Voughlan whose strength was strength itself. They were the most renowned in combat among the Alpha families for generations.

Ansem had one older brother who was 14 and one younger brother who was 6 and also a younger sister who loves Ansem very much ...she was also 6. The younger brother and her were twins who adored their second elder brother. But Ansem was a disgrace to his father...he wasn't strong. His training had already started from the age of 8years but even though he was from the Voughlan family he was weak like any Beta or even an Omega. His father would thrash him all the time but he never improved. Both the younger twins cried seeing their elder brother like that..only they knew why he acted so weak. His older brother was quite satisfied with him cause if he were to be strong too then he would have to battle him for the ownership of their company.

Thats right aside from being the strongest they also had an empire for themselves..Voughlan Corps. It specialised in producing the finest elite security teams and also weapons.

Ansem hated all this...so even though he was strong...even than his elder brother and father he kept it to himself except the twins as they had accidentally saw him while he was practising in order to cool himself off.

He had to act weak to reach his goal...he wanted out from his family in order to achieve something. Even his birth mother didn't care for him anymore. The plus point of the family was that all four of the siblings were from the same mother. For generations it has only been one wife....they were loyal but they were ruthless to those who betray them.

Ansem cried because it hurt for real...his own father thrashing him..who could bear it?

But he was reluctant to give in to his fathers scoldings and his mother's nagging. He really didn't feel anything for them at all....sometimes he even wonder if he was really their son. Aside from the twins, he loved no one else in his family.

Two years had already passed again...its a miracle he survived all of his father's beating even after 4 years. There were casualities but it was soon healed ...this was a family blessing....wounds healed quickly in the family. He trained himself every time his father would beat him so he did improve a little in his father's eyes. The training of the twins had also started since they were 8 years old already. They were excellent which made Mr. Voughlan calm a little.

Four years passed, Ansem was already 16 by now and he showed the strength of a 10 year old. By now his father thought the better of it.

One day, he saw Ansem playing the piano..he was really astonished by it. He never knew his son played the piano. This piano was his grandmother's, whose love for music was known throughout the whole country but it was a pity none of her children followed her into the music world. Infact, she didnt mind it much either because the family was obsessed with strengths.

She was still alive but her husband had died in the middle of a gunbattle with his opponent. So she secluded herself in the mountains where a villa was already built for her by husband who knew her well. She hated violence since the death of her husband so she didnt keep in contact with her children except when it was absolutely neccesary. She loved them but she hated what they did so she had always been praying for them. But there was one person that she loved the most...Ansem. Not because he was weak but because she knew his dream and his aim.

Mr. Voughlan had secretly watched Ansem play the piano ...his hands were long and swift. It was a magical moment which mesmerised even Mr. Voughlan and reminded him of his mother.

The next day--

"Father, i want to become an artist", Ansem said straightforwardly to his father with no expressions.

His father looked up to him from his sitting stance and glared at him.

The look in their eyes had said it all.

"Im leaving, goodbye Father."

He stood up and called out to the person who was leaving,"There shall be no shares for you even if you ever come back"

"I don't care", the other answered back.

The old man was going to leave him alone. Atleast he could do that...he was his son.

No one was home at that time so Ansem chose the perfect timing.

He left..left without turning back. He was shut out from the family from now.

He went to his Grandmother because this was all hers and Ansem's plan.
