I Do...I Really Do

That night was a sleepless night both for Lan and Rick.

Lan understood his feelings already but he never wanted to accept it. He never wanted to be submissive and yes Rick didn't make him feel like that but.......he kind of held a grudge against Alphas treating the Omegas as lowly.

On top of that he was a guy Omega so in childhood he was bullied. Even though the laws had started protecting them, not many can change their views and he was a victim of that.

But somehow, he worked hard became strong and now he one of the most respected Omega of course.

He knew he had started liking Rick too...

In the cafeteria---

Lan had just taken his meal and was looking around to sit down when he saw Rick looking at him too. He froze and quickly went to the farthest corner. Amber saw that he was sitting alone so she went to him. They chatted away happily not knowing that there were two people who were glaring at them. Ansem was left by Amber and Rick was ignored by Lan....these two are boiling right now.

And the following days, Lan continued ignoring or turning away from Rick whenever he saw him. Rick somehow was sad but he enjoyed looking at him since whenever the Omega turned away, he could the see the other's deep red ears. It made him happy to see him even for a minute like that.

One day---

Amber was in her training room alone with a long sword practising. Rick came in and sat down in front of her with a gloomy face.

Amber stopped and looked at him while wiping her sweat with her hands.

Her scent was strong today, Rick said,"You're going in heat soon. Take care"

He was not at all affected already since the only scent which would arouse and affect him deeply were that of Lan's scent. After getting familiar with his scent, he couldn't bring himself to even like another scent anymore.

Amber raised her eyebrows,"What happened to you? Did somebody reject you?" she asked playfully.

Rick looked up startled and asked,"How did you know? Is it that obvious? Tell me!"

It was now Amber's turn to be startled...i was just kidding and damn it seems he really is heartbroken

Amber smiled at him,"Who is the girl?" and asked with interest while taking a chair and sitting down in front of him.

Rick looked at her and then slumped down again,"I-it's not a girl. But he's an Omega"

The words he said took a long time for Amber to process.

"What? A guy Omega? As far as i know yhere are only five guy Omegas here. But three of them are our superiors and we have never even talked to them...is it one of them? Wait no, let's try the other two,one of them is currently on mission and you don't associate much with him and the other one is ...

NO WAY...YOU LIKE LAN?? YOU MEAN LAN!!!", Amber shrieked, thank God her room was soundproof.

Rick's eyes widened and slowly said,"As expected of the Beauty Amber"

Amber was flabbergasted...what?!

"You really like him?", she asked more seriously and in a dominant tone which she learned from her hubby and dangerously

Rick could see that she was very serious so he replied,"I do...i really do.

Not attraction either. I think i really love him"

Amber just sat down looking at the love-struch Rick. She could tell he was saying the truth since his eyes were full of warm love and nostalgia.

"He is an Omega...you aren't going to just use him and throw him away aren't you. You are an Alpha...it's not easy for him to trust you that easily", Amber began.

Rick knew that too"I know. I'm going to win his trust. I really love him...i really do!"

Ansem came in as he said the last words. Looking at the two of them sitting face to face so close, his eyebrows twitched.

Amber turned and ran to him," Major General, let's be a matchmaking couple for Rick and Lan" , she saluted and said with all seriousness making Ansem raise his eyebrow and Rick choked uncontrollably after saluting Ansem.

"Lan, tell me can you ever trust an Alpha?", Amber questioned.

"Yes of course. But it will take some time",he answered slowly.

"What about Rick? I have been seeing you go red whenever you see him. Do you like him too?", Amber went straight to the point. This was the characteristics she shared with Ansem...not beating around the bush.

Lan choked on his drink.

Amber continued,"You think that even if you like him...what if you don't trust him or worse, what if he plays and breaks you?"

Lan just nodded, his expression sorrowful.

"Then tell me...since the first time you met has he ever hurt you? Yes he was impulsive but he never hurt you. He stayed close to you and i have seen him always protecting you during our last mission. You were such an introvert but turns out you are a tsundere and you just open up to people whom you feel comfortable with. You feel comfortable with him too you know that! Just give a chance. If he fails, we are here! And you are no less either. You could beat him..you remember right haha"

Lan felt relieved hearing Amber's words.

They were sitting on the rooftop with the moomlight above them. It was a good place to feel things out.
