"Majoy General, i shall be under your supervision from now on", the girl came up to him and saluted him.
"Hmm, i've read your reports. You are an outstanding scientist. Welcome to my team. Please get ready for your first task. We are joining forces with another base", Roger noddded in approval and went away.
Lina was surprised as not many officers would disclose this much info on their fisrt assignment.
Well, Roger seemed to have done that inadvertently. That's because, he liked the girl's personality and first impression.
Every team member of his had gone through deep investigations by him....especially their attitudes and personality towards people.
And he liked Lina very much.

After stopping somewhere isolated, Lina asked,"What happened?!"
"If i stay there, the elders will nag at me telling me to get married too. Trust me, I've listened to them nag at me since they knew about my cousins...for more than 4 years!!", he said anxiously.
He turned towards her after looking around and saw that they were isolated, he breathe a sigh of relief.
Lina was looking at him with bright eyes well, a bit of sympathy included too .

Roger just laughed dryly at her hands.
She reached out her hand and patted his shoulders nodding in understanding.
Roger caught her hand,"I'm serious"
"I know", still immersed in the deep understanding.
"No, Lina i really like you"
"Ah?", she tried to retract her hand that was still trapped by Roger.
But Roger didn't let go.
"Really, Lina. I'm serious. It's not a moment of impulsiveness or anything. I think i love you"
Wa..wat? My crush likes me back. Uwaa, this is a dream come true. Wait, i need to confirm it.
Yes, Lina had a crush on Roger. But it was just a simple admiration, she had started to fall for Roger too but never expected this from him.
She was too overwhelmed that she couldn't say a word. She opened her mouth but closed it again.
Roger who was waiting for her reaction, was seriously covered in a layer of sweat. Damn, what missions, this was the most arduous mission he had ever done. Even the most accomplished and serious girl was like this, he was very nervous.
Lina knew what she was doing, thinking words wouldn't be enough, she hugged Roger.
