Escape from the Capital with a Demon

The King studied the woman who was bowing before him. "Sabrina was it? Where did you come from?" Edward asked.

With that question Sabrina raised her head and smiled at the king. "Oh I have been here all day." She said. "It seems everything is proceeding exactly as my queen predicted."

"Right you spoke of a Queen, to what kingdom do you belong?" Edward asked.

"One that plans to save the humans from themselves." Sabrina teased. Still in her human form, the king had no idea he was talking to a demon. "One second." She motioned for the King to stay still. Grabbed two knives from her waist and threw them at the door, piercing the door and killed 2 assassins that had been hiding on the other side. "There we go." She smiled.

"Just who are you?" The King shouted at the sight. "Regardless I cannot leave my people, even if it puts my life in danger. I shall not abandon them."

With that statement, Sabrina walked up to directly in front of the king and whispered in his ear. "I never said you had a choice, little King." After she whispered her message she backed up and smiled at the King again. "Shall we go now? Or should I wait for more assassins?"

"I have a feeling if I refused you it would cause greater harm to my people." Edward answered. "Fine we will escape the capital. There is a secret passage behind the throne."

"See you can be reasonable." With that Sabrina vanished in a flash and reappeared behind the throne lifting the trap door leading to the passageway. "Are you coming slow poke?"

"How did you?" The king was puzzled. He had never heard of anyone with such speed. Not even the heroes could match such an incredible feat.

"Come on then!" Sabrina yelled. "I haven't got all day! It is not good to keep the Queen waiting."

"Oh right!" Edward snapped out of his daze and made his way over to the passage. "If we follow this path it will take us outside of the city walls." Sabrina and the King traveled through the dark tunnels until they finally reached the exit. Sabrina motioned for the King to stop.

"Something is not right." She said. "I sense an ambush up ahead." She peaked out of the tunnel and saw a large group of the church's soldiers waiting to kill the king when he exited the tunnels. "Well shit." Sabrina sighed. "There are at least a hundred men outside waiting to kill you Mr. King."

"It seems all is lost then." The King sighed. "I am sorry for the trouble my lady, please escape and I will surrender myself to them." The King resigned himself to die and began to walk past Sabrina.

"Whoa now!" Sabrina placed her hand on the King's chest preventing him from moving forward. "My Queen commanded me to bring you to her. You can't go get yourself killed along the way."

"But my lady!" The King pleaded. "I do not wish to place you in such an unfair fight. You are not even part of my kingdom. I cannot ask you to do this."

"Ah that's sweet!" Sabrina was touched. "Your right about this being an unfair fight. You're just wrong about who it's unfair to." With that Sabrina smiled and vanished before the King's eyes.

"Where did she…?" Before the King could finish his sentence he could hear the death cries of the soldiers outside. As he peeked his head out he watched the battle unfold. Sabrina was dodging every swing from the swords and catching the arrows in mid air. When she would catch an arrow she would throw it at a soldier killing them. She would kick blades out of their hands and then thrust that same blade into their chest with another kick. She was an unstoppable force on the battlefield. The King watched, awestruck, by the way that she seemed to dance from person to person. After she had cleared the field of more than half of the soldiers, the remaining few retreated screaming at the top of their lungs. A then blood covered Sabrina made her way back to where the King was hiding.

"See totally unfair right?" Sabrina joked. "Let's get going to the forest now to meet the Queen. Those Kind soldiers were nice enough to leave us some horses."

"Wait did you say the forest?" The King paused. "That would make you…"

"A demon?" Sabrina cut the King off before he could finish his sentence. "Not going to let a little thing like me being a demon affect our relationship, are you Kingy?" Sabrina teased the King.

"It just surprised me." The King answered. "I never dreamed that a demon would save my life one day. It would be an honor to meet your Queen. Let's ride."

"Oh you took that better than expected." Sabrina was pleasantly surprised. "I guess I can reveal my true self now." With that Sabrina transformed into her demon form. "Well Kingy am I still beautiful? I saw how you were looking at me in my human form. You dog you."

Edward had never seen a demon female before. Her tall slender frame and long flowing hair was a sight to behold. All topped off with a pair of cute little horns. "No my lady." The King answered.

 "Oh poo." Sabrina teased back.

"I find you even more beautiful." The King responded. "I have never seen someone quite as beautiful as you. Your beauty is even greater than the beauty of you fighting. I am truly stunned my lady."

"Oh stop!" Sabrina was starting to blush. "I didn't expect the human King to be such a charmer." She sighed. "And please call me Sabrina. I really don't like formalities."

"Only if you agree to address me as Edward." He responded.

"Ok Eddy, that's enough chit chat, lets ride!" Sabrina commanded. With that they rode off toward the forest. The Capital sat only a day's ride by horse from the forest so the trip would not be excessively long.

Meanwhile back at the capital news of the King's escape had reached the Grand Pope. "Dead or exiled, it matters not, I now have command of the Royal army." The Grand Pope smiled. "Now everything can go just as the Goddess intends. Although it does worry me that he was able to find such a powerful ally. According to the soldiers that returned it was just a single woman who decimated our army." Oliver paused. "I do hope another kingdom is not planning on interfering with the Goddess's work."

A day later Mia was eating her breakfast with Lucell when Morain entered the house. "Mia there is a special guest arriving in the village today." Morain explained. "I would greatly appreciate it if you would be there to greet him."

"Sure!" Mia agreed instantly. "Anything for you Morain."

"I will go as well, my Queen." Lucell chimed in.

"Glad to have you Lucy!" Morain smiled. "But please try not to scare him."

"Majesty may I ask who our guest is?" Lucell asked.

"Oh well, I don't want to ruin the surprise!" Morain teased. "But let's just say that he is going to be a great part of Mia's education." With that the trip left to meet the guest at the edge of the forest.

Sabrina and Edward had finally made their way to the forest and could now be seen approaching by Mia and company. "Hey wait isn't that the King?!" Mia shouted.
