Clover Under Attack

Hikaru POV

After leaving Golden Dawn's HQ, I headed towards the royal capital where the Magic Knight Headquarters were. The ceremony is going to start in 10 minutes. I rushed my way over.

I landed and put the broom to the side and made my way over to the ceremony room. 'By now, Julius should have already met the newbies and be at the ceremony room' I walk down the halls and find Julius leaving the room.

I walk up to him "Hey Julius, where are you going? Did the ceremony end already?" I asked him. He nodded "Yes, I just finished, they are going to eat and have a conversation." he responds back to me.

"Ahh I see. Where's Lance?" I ask him again. He smiles "He's inside with the rest of the knights, since you were coming I figured it would be best. If you have other plans and can't look after him call Marx and he'll look after him. Since, I have some matters to take of right now." I nod my head in understatement.

On the outside I looked calm and collected when Julius said that but inside I was freaking out. 'What?! I know that Fuego and Nozel are there but the other nobles!'

As Julius walked away I called out and asked him one more question "Wait Julius. Do they know who he is?" I asked warily. I sweatdropped waiting for his answer. He smiled warmly. "I left the introduction for you. All I told them was to be nice to him and look out for him until his guardian comes." I sigh. "Thanks Julius."

With that he left and I made my way to the door. Outside of the door I could hear Asta yelling and a fight breaking out. I sigh 'Wasn't this supposed to be a awarding ceremony. I thought it would be peaceful.'

I creaked open the door and entered quietly concealing my presence. I saw that a man from golden dawn and the silver eagles siblings were attacking Asta. While Noelle was dripping water a bit, seeing this happen I could assume what happened. I looked around the room looking for Lance and saw him standing in the corner next to Charlotte and her member.

I walked over and Charlotte turned her head and noticed me. Her eyes widened and was about to say something when Nozel walk up towards Asta and his group cutting off Solid. I sweatdropped at what was going to happen.

Fuegoleon walked up to Nozel and spoke "Lord Julius has allowed that boy to be here." Nozel continued to look at him. "I never heard of such nonsense coming out of a royals mouth." he comments back.

"What?" Fuego replys. "How I am, an eagle that soars the sky, supposed to give credit to those bugs that crawl on the ground." Nozel retorts back. Soon they release their mana which flames up widely. I sigh at their actions and look over at Charlotte, I tap her shoulder grabbing her attention. "Hey Charlotte, it's been a while. I would love to catch up and talk but I'll handle those two over there. But could you, watch that boy over there for me." I point at Lance and she nods her head in agreement.

I walk over to to where the two are, as I'm doing so some of the magic knights notice my presence as I'm walking in front of them and see me heading to the danger zone. Their eyes widen and mouth opens wondering who I am and giving me judgmental stares.

I quickly place my hand on their shoulders and let my mana leak making them take notice of my presence. "Hey you two. It would be nice if you could stop. Okay." I say and smile at them but strain my voice to sound like a demand. They quickly turn to look at me and their mana stops. Their eyes widen and jaws drop. Someone then decides to speak up and it's Asta, as the rest if the knights look at me with surprise. "HIKARU-SENPAI!!! It's nice to see you here!" he says loudly as others just watch.

I turn to face Asta and smile "Yes, it's good to see you here too." Soon the door slams open. It catches all of our attention. "T-there's an emergency!!" he yells. He continues "T-he Capital is under attack!"

A mage from Golden Dawn takes out his grimoire again and makes a detailed map of Clover. Everyone gathers around and Nozel and Fuego look over at me. Soon that silence is broken by Asta yelling "What are we doing waiting here! There are people who need our help!I'm going to go!" "Asta!" Noelle calls. Asta runs out of the room. Then soon Leopold laughs and runs after him.

I smile and walk towards the corner where Charlotte was. I squat down to face Lance. "Hey Lance, I'll need to help some people soon. So I'll get you over to Marx okay. If you are in trouble or if something happens call me using that device." I say motioning to the transponder. I grab his hand and walk over to where the rest of the knights.

Fuegoleon splits up the knights into groups by squads sending them off to certain areas of the kingdom. I look at him to see if he will say anything to me as I hold Lance's hand.

The magic knights head out with Nozel and Fuegoleon glancing at me and Lance. I look at them and tilt my head to the side. "Um...Fuego? Do you want me to join a specific group or should I just join anyone?" I ask my childhood friend before he hops onto his lion with Noelle.

"No, you can join any group." Fuego says. I nod my head and pick up Lance. "Ok Lance, let's get you to Marx. Be a good boy for me okay?" I say to him. Lance nods his head and I cast my magic letting me find Marx.

I soon find Marx in his room bombarded with paper work flying every where trying to contact Julius. I walk towards him and grab his attention . "Marx. Marx!" he turns around and sees me. "Hey Marx, I'm going to head out and help the people. I know your busy and all but could you please watch him or leave him here in the room and make sure he is safe." I ask him.

He sighs out "Sure, in return if you see Julius. Make sure you tell me and send him my way." I nod my head in return and set Lance down and pet his head. "Lance, I'll be right back. Be good and keep safe okay?" I tell him. He flashes me a smile and salutes. I ruffle his hair once more and run out.

'Hmm. Who should I join? Let's go after Charlotte, her group only had her and that member first and head my way over to the other groups to see if they need help.' I thought to myself running towards the kingdom.

On my way over, I help citizens get to safety and rush them over. Protecting them on my way over to Charlotte.

These creatures...they're like zombies. No matter what you do they continue coming back up. "Water Spirit magic: Sea Prison!" I yell activating a spell that I send water arms grabbing the zombies and stuffing them inside a water prison.

I call out to the people to get their attention "Citizens of Clover! Please make your way to safety. I'll hold them here, please run and some mages will soon escort you and help with any injuries." I say. They look at me and smile with hope and gratefulness. "Thank you!" I hear out in the crowd.

I hurriedly run off to the next area where I hear screams and help them there as well. 'My magic...If I keep using that same spell I'll be out of mana... I got to quickly get rid of them and head over to the rest of the knights.

As I run towards the direction of Charlotte, something pulls at my gut telling me to go in the other direction. 'What is with this feeling?!' I ask myself. Following my gut I ran towards the direction my body was telling me to go. I hear screams saving people along the way, then...

A black void spreads through the kingdom, trying to pull me in. I jump up opening my grimoire and launching plant magic to cover it. They get pulled in and it starts to close. I feel most of the magic knights present in the capital leave. I tch.

I run in the streets now that the sun is up and try to find somebody. I hear "Fuegoleon!" far away and feel magic dissipate. I run over in that direction to find them. "Asta! Noelle! Leopold!" I yell at them gaining their attention.

Asta and Noelle brightens up. "Hikaru-nee san!" Leopold yells out. "Big brother got sucked up into a spatial hole!" he exclaims. My face shows worry. 'This feeling..it came back..'

"Leopold, calm down. We'll try to find a away to find him." I turn to look at the other two, Asta is injured and leaning against Noelle. I walk over to them and open my grimoire. "Healing spirit: Recovery." I say and the green light comes out of my hand and heals him slightly. The wounds doesn't seem to close and stop the bleeding. My eyesbrows move in confusion but closes the wounds so there is only a little one still open. Their eyes get larger and Asta yells "Thanks! Hikaru-senpai!! I feel so much better now!" I chuckle at him "Asta your wounds are still not completely healed, something is wrong with them...they don't close but I made them smaller and made the bleeding lessen. He nods and looks in the direction where the bodies are piled up.

I look in the direction and feel some magic oozing out. "I'm impressed that you've found me. I went through all that trouble to get this filthy disguise." a man said coming out of the pile of bodies. I flip my grimoire open to a page ready to fight. The man rips off his disguise and has dark black eyes. "But it's all over now." that creepy man says. The two males question him as a spatial portal opens up and a body drops out hitting the ground.

My eyes widen in shock and run over to the body. The rest of them stand in shock, Fuego's arm is gone and is bleeding.

Seconds later they scream and Leopold yells "Big Brother!"

'NO! Fuego! I need to stop the bleeding!' I rip off a piece of my shirt and they soon run over to watching him bleed and me trying to stop the bleeding in the mean time. "Healing Spirit: Full recovery!" I yell making a brighter green light come out of my hands a I patch Fuego's wound.

I look at him and his face. 'His eyes are lifeless. His getting colder!'

Leopold yells "NO...My brother wouldn't..."

Soon Fuego's grimoire falls out of the portal. Noelle looks at it and says "His grimoire! He's still alive!" Leopold continues to mumble.

I tell Noelle "Noelle give me a hand here! My magic is running low and his bleeding isn't stopping. Get another cloth and hold his wound!" She comes closer to me and kneels down ripping part of her clothing and holds down at his wound.

She turns to Leopold "Leopold come help!" but gets no reply. Leopold is then sent back and hits a wall. Knocking out. The eye patch man says some stuff but I don't bother listening. "Fuego. Your going to be alright, I'm back. I didn't say it earlier. I'm back home. We'll get you some more help okay. So deal with my sucky healing." I say to him concentrating my last ounce of magic to heal him. 'I don't have enough magic to use that light healing spell. I'm sorry Fuego, this is all I've got at the moment. I'll just have to stop the bleeding.'

I hear Asta in the back running towards the eye patch man and cut through the spatial magic. He then cut him and I hear screaming in the back. "Asta look out!" Noelle yells out. A gust of fire is sent up to the spatial user.

I turn around and look. I smile as I hear Leopold say something about his brother. "Leopold! Your brother, he's going to be alright! I've stopped the bleeding!" I yell out. He smiles and sighs out. The two boys walk forward to the eye patch man but suddenly another male's voice is heard.

A gust of wind circles around us. A group of cloaked people show up and surround us as the wind dies down.

Eye patch complains about being able to handle himself than another person in the cloak speaks up mentioning something about dissecting. I watch them as I slowly gain some mana back. 'I need them to continue stalling or speaking for a while before I can use any magic attacks or spells.'

Asta's wounds continue to drip blood I tch in frustration. Asta laughs which causes all of us to look at him, he lifts up his swords and cuts his wounds. The magic on them dissipate. My eyes widen, 'Asta! I'm going to need you to hold out for me.'

"I can keep fighting!" Asta yells and runs to attack one of them. Leopold then attacks sending a fire ball at them. The two fight together yelling. I smirk 'It seems that you've become stronger Leopold. These are the newbies of the magic kingdom. They will surely do good in the future.'

The group in cloaks aim their magic spells at us preparing to attack all at once. I whisper to Noelle "Hey Noelle, can you protect us. I'm still trying to recover my mana and I don't have enough. But surely you can do it right?" I ask her, she nods her head.

As they send their attacks Noelle releases her magic and creates a barrier around us.

One of the mages in the group casts a spell of draining roots which wraps themselves around the barrier sucking the mana. Once the barrier is broken Asta and Leopold jump up and ready to attack.

A man casts his magic "Wind creation magic: Tornado needles!" he yells outs sending the wind arrows at the boys. I get up and open my grimoire "Earth spirit: Earth shield!" I yell sending a wall between the arrows and the boys. But some mangaed to blast through and graze their sides. They fell and held their sides. "Tch" I say again, I saved up that magic but those two wouldn't be able to evade. The man sends more our way.

'No I don't have any more magic!' I hurridly scramble my way to the boys. "Boys!" I run and put myself in front of them.

Noelle yells out "Asta! Leopold! Hikaru!! NOO!!" I brace myself.

A silver ball comes in blocking the attack. I open my eyes to see all of them. The rest of the magic knights. They stand in front of us saying stuff like working together to get back here.

I see Mimosa come down and head to Fuego. "Mimosa! Hikaru helped heal Fuegoleon. Help heal Asta and Leopold. But if Fuegoleon has anymore injuries please heal him!" Noelle asks Mimosa. She nods and looks over to the other two boys. I quickly tear off more fabric from my shrirt and tie it around them.

A man with glasses from Golden Dawn comes over and checks on Asta.

Nozel activates his spell "Acid Rain!" In return one of them releases a spell "Sticky Salamander!" and injects something as the magic attack gets absorbed. That person sends the salamander's hand at Asta and glasses picking up Asta. The slime envelops him and a spatial portal opens up underneath them.

'No Asta!' WIth the last of my magic, I summon Pix out and push a magic spell towards them and its gets envelope with the group as well. As they exit saying "We will destroy Clover Kingdom, we are Midnight eye."

"ASTA!!" Noelle yells out. I flop on my knees exhausted from using all of my magic.

Noelle speaks up "They took Asta. We need to save him!" Then four eyes speaks up "We can't we don't have a way to track him." "But-" Noelle is stopped when Nozel begins to speak.

"Right now, strengthening the royal capital's defense is priority. There is no guarantee that they are the only enemies. Besides we can't go wasting energy and magic saving someone like him." he finishes with the two looking at him. He looks at me and grabs my arm helping me stand.

Nozel then lets go and walks over to check up on Fuego and Leopold who are being healed by her. "How is Leopold and Fuegoleon doing?" Mimosa responds with "Fuegoleon will still need to be checked up by the medical ward in advanced healing, Noelle told me that Fuegoleon has already been healed by Hikaru, so he's in a better state."

He looks back to look at me. His siblings start talking critisizing Fuegoleon on how he was useless and how he is a disgrace to royals. Then Nozel turned back around and reprimanded them by saying "we weren't here so we don't know." sending them a glare as they shut up.

A guy from Golden Dawn starts commanding and saying things. I feel Pix and hear her talking to me "Hikaru they're holding him in the slime still and they don't know my presence." I sigh and speak to her in my mind "Pix, can you help him get out. I don't have anymore magic to use, I'll be sending it to you to use." My eyes start to droop. I walk over to Noelle and place my hand on her shoulder.

"Hey Noelle, Asta will be just fine, he's getting help right now." Her eyes widened at my statement and glasses overheard and looked towards me. "Really?! How?" the smaller girl asked me.

"I'm using the rest of my magic to send something to help Asta before they left. Though I hope she can lend him some help soon. I'm almost at my limit here..." I say and lean on her for some support.

She smiles at my statement that Asta is getting help but looks worried at my current form. "Are you okay Hikaru-san?" I look at her and give her a small smile. "Just really tired...It's just draining me since my mana is still being used." She holds my arm to steady me and I hear Pix "Hikaru!! I broke Asta out of the slime and helped him a little bit. But it seems your brother is here!"

I smile at this. "Pix inform my brother for me to hurry back to the capital with Asta. I'll give you some more magic then I'm completely overly dried out of mana and energy for you to use." I say to her. I look at Noelle. "He's fine now Noelle. I'll be-" I didn't get to complete my sentence till I knocked out in Noelle's arms. All I heard was Noelle yelling my name in the background.
