New Meetings

Sora POV

Whispers and murmurs went around outside in the halls as I put my stuff away in my bag. I had told Hina that I wouldn't be able to eat lunch with her today because something came up and I had to help someone. I put my stuff away and ate my lunch quickly before putting it away.

"Akiyama-san someone is here for you." Someone in my class says. I get up and head to the door. As I do I see my senpai and the manager. "Oh Kiyoko! Sorry I made you come all the way here!" I say and step out of the class and have her stand next to me. "No it's alright." she says while giving me a smile and I smile back.

The others students watch us and shield their eyes. 'Too bright!' they say.

"Let's go find a new manager!" I say as I walk next to her. She smiles at that. "Thank you again Sora-chan." she says and I turn to look at her. "No worries! I'm glad too help! Your a friend after all!" I say and she smiles even wider.

Flashback

After practice

"Um, Sora-chan?" Kiyoko says as I get changed out of my clothes in the morning. I hum at her and put my other clothes away. "Yes?" I ask and she looks down and up again at me. "I know that I could do this by myself. But I wanted to....Um. I was wondering if you could help me find a new manager for the team..." she says and I widen my eyes.

"Of course! I'll help! Do you want a second year or first year?" I ask. She looks at me with wide eyes and nods her head. "Well it would be easier to leave the club to a first year after we leave. But It doesn't really matter as long as they are a first or second year that I can leave the club to." Kiyoko says and I nod my head and think for a bit. "Yeah there might still be some. But I'll ask around the second floor and then we can go ask around on the first years." I say.

She nods her head "Thanks Sora-chan!" she says.

Flashback end

"Kiyoko, I wasn't able to find anyone who was available for manager in the second years but we'll definitely find someone in the first years!" I say and she nods with determination.

The both of us make our way down to the first year floor and walk around asking if someone was interested to join as the boys volleyball manager. So far we had no luck. I held some papers to give out as we asked around. I did one side while Kiyoko did the other.

As we made our way down the halls students looked at us with a hint of red on their cheeks.

"I wonder who they are?" "They're so pretty~" "Third years? Second years? Or??" Students murmured and whispered as we made our way down the halls. "The tall one is pretty and has a cute aura around her~ While the shorter and the one with black hair is pretty and has a sexy and serious vibe to her~" Another student said.

"Shimizu-senpai!? So-chan?!" a voice says and Kiyoko and I both turn around. I smile at Shoyo. "Hey Shoyo!" I say.

"Huh! Hinata knows the hot third years?!" a students says. Kiyoko and I make our way over to him. "Hey Hinata, do you know any first years that haven't joined a club yet?" Kiyoko asks and I nod my head adding on "We're looking for one right now." I say.

"Ah! Kiyoko, I'm sorry. I remember Daichi-san had told us that we were going to go for a run. I'll see you back at the club!" I say and look down at the recruit were trying to get. "Please do consider this. It'll mean a lot for us. Plus the team is very welcoming, we would love to have you on the team regardless." I say and turn around.

"Hmm. I'll see you Sora-chan. Thanks again." Kiyoko says and send her a smile. "Don't sweat it! I'm glad to help!" I say before dashing off to the changing room and over to the club room.

"I'm here!" I say as I see them come out of the club room. Tanaka tilts his head at me. "Why're you so tired, did you run all the way here?" I nodded my head. "I was busy with something but I wanted to go for the run with you guys like I said." I say as I brush hair out of my face.

"No worries." Daichi says and I follow them to a hill. Since I was the odd one out, I told Daichi that I would run with Shoyo and Kageyama. He nodded his head at me and gave me a pat on the shoulder. "You sure?" he asks "You can run with me or Sugawara." he says and I chuckle. "It's fine. I have a feeling that they might do something and I need to be there." I say. He nods his head. "I'll leave it to you."

Daichi claps his hands as a set of us run up the hill then wait at the stopping point. It was finally our turn. "On you mark, get set, GO!" Daichi said as we sprinted up the hill. I stayed behind Kageyama and Shoyo as they screamed up the hill. "Oi you two!" I call out to them. I pick up my paste.

They continue to scream and run passed Kinoshita and Narita. "Oi you two calm down!" I yell. "Sorry!" I say to the both of them as I run after them.

As they continue to run up ahead I see the stopping point come up and I slow down thinking that they would stop too. I blink my eyes as I see them continue to yell and run up the hill. "Oi Shoyo! Kageyama!" I yell at them as I run after them. "Hey where do you guys think your going?!" Tanaka yells.

I glance at the ones already there. "Tell Daichi, that I'll take care of them! I'll see you!" I say picking up my paste and going faster up the hill.

"I feel bad for Akiyama-san." Yamaguchi says as Tsukishima adds "I'm pretty sure that we can leave them. But they should be fine since Akiyama is going after them."

The two of them continue to yell and I continue to chase after them "Oi you two!" I yell and they both finally stop yelling and running. They both look at each other with blank faces. As I catch up to them I grab their shoulder. "Oi, where do you guys think you're going?!" I say to them and they both look back at me. "Huh?!" they yell.

I sigh. "Don't 'huh' me?!" I say back to them. "You two ran off! Completely went up the hill and now here!" I say to them and Shoyo looks at Kageyama. "You took the wrong direction didn't you!?" Shoyo yelled to Kageyama. "Hah!?" Kageyama yelled back. I gripped their shoulders tighter.

"Would you two calm down?! How about we stop here to catch our breath as I go in and ask the guy form the market a question." I say and give them stern looks. "O-okay." They both say. "Stay here and no fighting." I say as I enter the store. I look up at the signs and see that we were way farther than I thought I were. 'Wakano 3-chrome....Isn't this close by Shiratorizawa if I'm correct.' I think to myself.

I walk inside the store and go to the man at the counter. "Excuse me?" I say and the guy looks at me. "What can I do for you?" he says. "My friends and I were running and can you tell me the quickest way back to Karasuno area?" I ask. He raises a brow at me "Karasuno? That's pretty far from here. If you head back down that road but make a right and keep going than you'll be able to get back there faster than the way you came." he said and I nodded. "Thank you sir." I say and leave the store.

I look left and right. No one. No Shoyo. No Kageyama. Just silence. "Huh?!" I yell and look back left and right. "Your kidding me?!!! I just told them to stay here and what did they do?!" I yell to myself completely shook that they can't even listen to simple instructions. I give a big sigh out and crouch down. "Oh my god. I wasn't in there for even that long...." I say and run my hand through my hair.

I look around and think a moment 'Where would they go? They would get lost, but knowing Shoyo he might just end up somewhere he wants or doesn't want to be.' I look up at the sky and look at the signs. "Wakano chrome 3....." I say and widen my eyes. "Is close to Shiratorizawa.....They wouldn't....No they couldn't.....THEY WOULD!" I yell and enter the store again and go up to the same man. He looks at me again.

"I had just told my friends that I would be in here for a second but they left. Could you also tell me how to get to Shiratorizawa?" I ask and he nods slowly. "Yeah, just cross the street and continue to head down. Make a left and you'll be right at the school. You can't miss it." he says and I bow. "Thank you!" I say before going outside again.

"You guys are so troublesome." I grumble as I start running across the street and down following the directions that the man gave me.

I huff as I finally stopped at their school. I looked up and saw that it was huge. "Dang." I said as I entered the school. I walked around on campus trying to blend in with the students and crowds as I acted normal like I was a regular student.

I walked around and looked for a gym or somewhere of the sort. As I got closer, I let out a "Eh?!" as I saw Ushijima talking with Shoyo and Kageyama as I started walking closer I could hear some of the conversation.

"Barren soil? What do you mean?" Shoyo asks as he steps forward. From my line of sight I could just barely see the difference of Shoyo, 'His expression...'

"Other than Oikawa. Aoba Johsai is weak." Ushijima clarifies. "Weak..." Shoyo says. "If Seijoh is barren soil, does that make us concrete or something?" Shoyo continues on. Shoyo's full face expression shows one of a threat and his eyes show competition.

I walk closer. "i'm sorry if I hit a nerve, but someone on a team that can't even make it to the prefecture finals because they've been defeated by Aoba Johsai can say all they want but I'll think nothing of it." Ushijima says and a ball hit the edge and flies out of the gym. Ushijima jumps up to catch the ball but I watch with a smirk as Shoyo goes and jumps to catch the ball just before Ushijima does.

"I'm Hinata from the concrete." Shoyo says as I see Kageyama make a smirk. "I'm going to crush you." Shoyo says as he passes the ball to Ushiima. I walk closer and hear another ball go flying towards them faster than the other ball and this fall is going straight out. "-And go to nationals."

As they were talking they turn their heads and I grab the ball before it could go any further. Their eyes widened at me. "Well it seems that you have spent enough time talking to the Ace of Shiratorizawa don't you think?" I say while turning around. "You two have caused enough trouble already." I say and give them a threatening smile as I increase my grip on the ball.

I look up at Ushijima, "Sorry for the intrusion. We will be going now." I say while passing the ball to him. As I start to take a step. "Akiyama Sora." Ushijima says and I stop in my tracks and look back at him.

"So the word is true that you attend Karasuno now. What a shame. You would've been better at SHiratorizawa." Ushijima says and I give him a stern look with an eyebrow raised. He continues. "But, I guess you'll still have your time with us anyways. You'll be practicing with us soon enough." Ushijima says.

A grin makes itself on my face. "I see, I have not received word of the other schools that I'll be also be practicing with. I look forward to it then. I'll have fun and enjoy the competition that you'll bring." I say and he raises an eyebrow at the last sentence.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Ushijima Wakatoshi, the Ace of Shiratorizawa. I always enjoy meeting different Aces. Especially strong ones at that. When I do come, I look forward to it. I haven't had a strong opponent in a good while to go up against." I say and look at him with excitement shown on my face.

Ushijima has a grin on his face as well. "I too look forward to it. Akiyama Sora, Ace of Niiyama and United High school. I will be waiting to see your improvement in person." he says and I smirk. I walk over to him and hold out my hand. "Then I'll see you to it then." I say and he shakes my hand.

I let go of his hand and turn away. Hinata bows at Ushijima "Thank you for showing us around. Excuse us." he says and starts walking away. I walk back a bit and start walking to Shoyo and hear. "if Oikawa if the best in the Miyagi Prefecture, then I'll be the one to surpass him for that title. Excuse us." Kageyama says.

I smile at that and glance back to see a wild grin that shows excitement to beat strong opponents and wonder. I too grin wildly like that. 'The qualities that these two showed Ushijima would surely make him feel threatened in a possible way. But I'll come and fight you Ushijima. I'd like to see what your made of. I want to use my full strength and power all the way.'
