The Family Dinner

He was a bit startled when he saw me but he has soon regained himself and invited inside.

"Aubrey" someone walked out from the kitchen

"Violet," my mom said

Both of them rushed to hug each other and started to talk and I turned towards my dad to see him talking to Patrick's dad and I started to feel more awkward.

I looked towards my other side to see him looking at me and when he saw me looking at him and his gaze moved away from me. My parents and his parents turned to look at us,

"Amelia my god you have grown so much, the last time I saw you when you were a five," said Patrick's mom

"Yes yes she and Patrick were both small, Amelia and Patrick were best buds those times," said my mom

"Amelia this is William and Violet, I and your mother went to college with them," said my dad

"Hello uncle and aunt" I greeted them

"Amelia this my son Patrick," said Violet

"Patrick this is Amelia you used to play with her lot when you were a small kids"

"Umm hi "

"Hi"

"Okay I never thought that they would be so much awkward to talk," said my mom

"Kids these days"

"Come it's already late let's have dinner," said Violet

Our parents were more likely talking between the dinner and I was sitting looking at the plate and eating slowly same goes for Patrick he was more interested in the food that he devoured his food most of them.

Soon the sky was turning late due to the mid-winter season the air was chillier. It was time for us to go back.

"Violet William we have to get back," said my mom

"We will see you soon"

"Goodbye uncle aunt," Patrick said

We bid our goodbyes and started to go home. Tomorrow is a school day so I have to sleep early. I lazily crawled towards my room and slept.

Morning came so fast and I slowly opened my eyes to see my mom shaking the heck out of me.

"Amelia wake up you're going to be late," said mom

"Fine fine I am getting up okay"

I sat up and did my morning routine and went downstairs.

"Looking more ugly as hell sis," that idiot said

"shut the hell up you a**hole"

"Mom look at my dear sister cursing at me"

"Amelia how many times I told you to keep the cursing's for yourself if I hear it one more time then your grounded"

"But mom he started it"

"I don't want to hear anything now go and wait for your school bus"

Can this day get any better? The bus soon arrived and I hopped on and saw only one place and that's the same place were I sat yesterday and the person sat next to was also the same.

"Hi Amelia," said Patrick

Woah Woah were the hell that came fro yesterday he couldn't even talk to me now he is the one who started to talk to me.

"Hello Patrick"

"Amelia yesterday it was so awkward that I couldn't talk to you"

"Same for me, and how is the new school for you"

"Yeah kinda hard to adjust I think because changing school is very hard"

"Hmm well you can ask me if you need anything"

"Thank you, Amelia"

I didn't know talking to him would be so bad it was a casual talk, we talked till the bus stopped.

"Bye Amelia see you at dispersal"

"Well well look at here what do I see," someone said behind me
