The game plan

For some reason, my heart skipped a beat hearing him say my name. I brushed it off and went into my cabin to get some shut eye.

~~~~~~~
I woke up early in the morning around 5:30 from a good nights sleep. I didn't have any weird dreams making me have less stress in the morning. But I still didn't have any clue where we should start.
I showered and put on a pair of denim shorts and a black t-shirt. I went to birth my teeth and brush my hair. I put my backpack on my back and headed out the door towards the main building.
Most of the campers were just waking up, but I wanted to get the money, eat, and then go. I walked up to Apollo's office and gave it a light knock. "Come in!" He shouted.
I opened the door and saw Seth there with the money we needed. "Great, you are here!" Seth said. "I think I know where to start."
"Great! Let's discuss this while we get a bite to eat."
"K."
Me and Seth walked towards the mess hall where some of the early birds were already eating. We grabbed food and sat together at an empty table.
"Okay, we don't know how long Khione has been gone, but we do know that she lives with her father Boreas."
"So maybe he will know?" I asked.
"Exactly. But gods like him aren't the nicest to demigods, but he will be to his granddaughter. I will be along side you just in case."
"Great! So where can we find him?"
"He would be located in Montreal at the Tamsano Mountain."
"Then we will start there."
"A good game plan."
I nodded and gave him a warm smile. We continued eating in silence and all the other demigods started coming in and getting their food.
~~~~~~~~

Once Seth and I were finished eating. We put our plates in the sinks and walked out with our backpacks on.

"Normally, everyone will wave is goodbye when we would leave."

"Everyone would wave bye to me hoping I won't come back." I said back.

He chuckled as we approached the front of the camp. "Okay then..." I said. "Lets go!"

We marched out of camp completely exposed to the monsters lurking in the forest. We both maintained a fast pace trying to avoid any problems so early on.

We soon reached the end of the woods and found the empty rode. "We didn't think this part through." Seth said.

"Such a great game plan." I said sarcastically.

To our luck, a red car was driving by and I held my thumb up. The car pulled over and the middle-aged women driving it pulled down the window. "What are you kids doing here?"

"We went camping with our parents and we wondered off. Now we just need to get into town." Seth said with an angelic look on his face.

"Well you two can hop in and I will drive you there. I am heading there anyways." I smiled at the lady and hopped in the car. "My name is Kathy. What is yours."

"I am Rital, and this is Seth."

"So are you two siblings or boyfriend and girlfriend?"

I choked on my own spit in shock. Seth laughed and answered, "We are cousins. Her parents took us camping."

"Right, of course." The lady replied with a smile.

The rest of the car ride was silent and I rested my head on the side of the car looking outside. I was starting to wonder when I would finally get to see my dad again. I wondered what his reaction was when I had to leave out of the blue.

Part of me wanted to ditch this quest to go visit him. But I knew that wasn't an option, I had to make sure this ice age won't happen. I glanced over at Seth and he was playing with the ring on his finger. It had a wrench in silver on it and fitted perfectly on his index finger.

We soon arrived in the city and the lady dropped us off at the police station. "Are you sure you don't want me to go in there with you?"

"Trust me we are good. Sorry for the trouble and have a blessed day." Seth said.

The lady smiled and drove away from the station. Me and Seth ran through the city and I admired all the buildings. I have always lived in my small town, and this was huge in comparison.

Seth and I went down to the train station and bought 2 tickets to Montreal. We jumped on the train and sat down in our seats.

Everyone started coming on the train and sat down at their spots. The conductor came around and checked everyone's ticket. Once everyone was approved, the train began to depart. Within minutes we were off to Montreal.

One step closer to saving Khione, my mother.
