Vera

The man was quite fast, just a blur in Wren's eyes. He tried to attack Fiore from behind, but when he was about to make contact with her back, she disappeared. Suddenly, a large bolt of blue sparks shot at him from above. The man tried to dodge, but to no avail. He was hit square in the chest and writhed in pain soon after. Fiore shot more of her blue lightning from different places around him until he laid crumpled on the floor, "I-I surrender." He gasped for air erratically.

"Okay, good to hear." Fiore dusted herself off and checked on Wren, "You alright?" She made sure she had not been hit by any stray sparks.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Fiore sighed, relieved. A few spectators were still standing around the crippled man, in shock, when he attempted to blast a stream of bronze sparks straight at Fiore. She didn't even flinch as they hit her.

"I'm pretty sure you said that you had surrendered. Does this mean you want some more?" Her entire body glowed a faint blue in the dark alleyway as she stood protectively in front of Wren.

He looked at her in horror, "That's not beginner level stuff! You have a bunch of Harling Markings! You shouldn't be capable of this!" Fiore grinned at his words.

"So, what if I do? Maybe they're there to mess with a$$holes like you." She quickly held out her palm and zapped him until he became unconscious. She walked up to him and checked his pockets, finding a small brown pouch, and motioning to Wren to follow her back onto the busy street.

Wren looked back at the man to see the spectators removing more things from his coat, "You didn't have to leave him there." She whispered to Fiore.

"Well, I don't want him, or any more of his things, so why not let other people take advantage of the situation?" She slipped past a few people and Wren teleported after her.

"I guess… Why'd you knock him unconscious though?"

"He was still trying to take you, and I just wanted him to stop annoying me." They walked past another fight, where a magenta haired girl was standing over a plump woman who was clearly pleading for mercy. The girl obliged, kicking dust in her face and turned towards Wren and Fiore.

"Oh, Fiore!" Her face brightened in excitement when she noticed her friend.

"What's up, Vera?" Wren looked at the girl, wondering who she was.

"That lady tried to pick pocket me, can you believe it?" She met Wren's eyes and smiled, "Fiore, who's this?"

"This is Wren." Fiore said proudly as Vera looked at Wren curiously.

"Yes, the brown is natural." Said Wren, already used to the attention she had received from it.

"Ahaha, I see you've already been asked about it?" Wren nodded solemnly, recalling what had happened to the blue haired man, whom she still did not know the name of.

"We're actually heading back to my place so that she can conjure her Summoned Spirit, wanna watch?" Fiore asked as they approached her house.

"Yeah, why not?" Vera responded, seemingly thrilled.
