Golden Awakening

"Wren! Wren, are you alright?!?" Came a panicked voice.

"Ah, I think I'm okay." She opened her eyes, head throbbing. She had obviously hit her head on the stone floor when she had fallen.

"Oh my god, I'm so glad!" Came Fiore again, hugging her close.

Wren suddenly remembered what they had been in the middle of, "Where is she?"

"Who?" Vera asked, looking at Wren, concerned.

"Um, what was her name? Ah, Tela! I think she's my summoned spirit."

Vera and Fiore exchanged glances before Fiore spoke, "It appears that you haven't gotten one... we can try again later though."

"But they said-" Wren paused, trying to remember what had happened while she was out, but to no avail. She could only remember that Tela was supposed to be her summoned spirit.

"Maybe you should rest a bit, these spells can be a bit draining." Suggested Fiore, "How about I carry you upstairs to our room?"

"I can do it myself." Said Wren, propping herself up. She stood up, her head spinning, and stumbled over to the first step of the stairway, "Maybe I do need some help..."

"That's what I thought." Fiore hoisted her into a bridal hold and carried her up the two flights of stairs with little to no effort.

"I can see myself out!" Yelled Vera from the main floor.

"Sounds good!" Fiore responded, waving away the wall of vines that had formed at the doorway to their room.

Wren looked outside a nearby window and noticed how dark it was outside, "How long was I out?" She asked groggily as Fiore gently placed her on the bed.

"Probably around an hour"-Fiore snapped her fingers and Wren's clothing changed-"you had me really worried." She changed her own clothing.

"Wait," Wren began, "what happened to the stone?"

"Well, it's pretty interesting actually." Fiore responded as they both got under the bed covers, "The stone usually changes color once you have conjured your summoned spirit, but yours changed regardless."

"Huh... what color did it turn?" Wren asked, closing her eyes.

"A pretty green, like your eyes." Fiore said as the floating light turned itself off and Wren drifted off to sleep.

Wren woke up suddenly to a bright golden light. She tried to get up to check it out, but Fiore's arms were wrapped tightly around her, "Ugh, Fiore!" She whispered, trying to get her off. When she finally managed to escape Fiore's iron grip and lift herself off the bed, she walked over to the source of the light, the closet. The vines covered the nearby doorway as she crept past it. That's when she creaked open the closet door and saw it.
