Aokiji vs Ban and Akane (3/3)

Aokiji dashes forward, making a giant wall made of ice to separate Akane and his subordinates. He was just in time, as Akane swept her sword down.

The sudden towards her encroaching wall forced Akane to dodge backwards, making her attack lose her target.

Akane snarled when she missed her attack and switched her focus to the man who had disrupted her.

"Arara, Ojou-chan. You shouldn't be doing that. They are my precious subordinates after all." Aokiji said as he shot a beam of icy wind towards her.

Akane gritted her teeth, gripped her swords tightly and braced herself for the attack. Foxfire surrounded her in monsterouly apparitions. They were like demons that had risen from hell. The blackish blue flame made them even ghastlier, like a night parade of a hundred demons who blocked the path to their commander.

The swords in her hands trembled as if they were thrilled to take this attack. When the attack arrived just in front of her, the apparitions moved forward and partially blocked the attack.

The swords in her hands shone in a fierce white light, merging with each other until completely different swords were laying in her hands. The Katana and wakizashi became completely black in color, demonic hanya masks decorating the sheath and blade. In the mindscape in which her swords usually resided in, the names began to change.

Words emerged in her head and left her lips like a chant desperate to be sung.

"Iluminate and purge, Amaterasu. Obscure and enlighten, Tsukuyomi."

The Katana, Amaterasu, illuminated with a lot of heat, the ice began to melt as soon as it got in contact. The Wakizashi, Tsukuyomi, created a black haze with a white centre around the blade. As if by instinct, Akane slashed it forward. The black haze shot forward and space seemed to tear as the ice disappeared into the crack, like it was forcefully sucked in.

A soon as the ice was gone, the tear mended and the black haze vanished. What was relevealed was Aokiji who was closing in at an incredible speed, an ice blade in his hand and ice spears floating around him.

Akane raised her sword and prepared to engage in battle once more. Aokiji became faster than before, arriving in front of her withing a flash and brought his sword down. If it hadn't been for her fast reflexes, Akane wouldn't have been able to parry it. Her Katana trembled while black flames burned through Aokiji's ice sword.

Aokiji frowned slightly, a black Haki covering his blade and preventing it from melting. Like that, Akane and Aokiji exchanged strikes, Aokiji becoming faster while striking at the gaps in her guard. Akane would block it or dodge, her tails clad in haki would block any attack aiming at blind spots.

As the fight continued, Akane began to feel tired. It wasn't easy fighting a really tall and strong man, while she herself was small and stuck in the body of a child.

Luckily for her, Ban arrived. He smirked as he too engaged in the battle. He glanced at her shortly. Understanding what he was getting at, Akane distanced herself from the battle and transformed in her giant fox form.

Aokiji saw it and blasted numerous ice spears her way while being occupied by Ban. As the spears closed in on her, Akane was fully transformed, her senses sharpening considerably. The spears appeared to have slowed down to a crawl as she easily evaded them.

Only the direction she evaded in could've been beter as she was exposed to the soldiers from the marine fleet. The soldiers standing on land rushed at her with their swords drawn or guns readied. The soldiers still on the ships were aiming their canons at her and lighting the fuse.

A vicious snarl escaped her mouth as she dashed towards the ships, completely ignoring the bullets raining towards her. Her focus was completely on destroying the ships, preventing them from following her when Ban and her escaped.

With a mighty leap, Akane boarded the ship and sent her fox fire to wreack havock on the ships. The demonic apparitions formed once more as they burned through the sails, hull, rudder, and all the other important parts of the ship.

Once she was done with one ship, she boarded another and another until all the ships were lighten aflame.

Afterwards her stamina was running short, panting slightly as she motioned to Ban. He noticed it and hit heavily with his staff towards Aokiji. The staff connected perfectly against Aokiji's face, sending him flying while leaving a big icy crack on his face.

Ban smile in glee, while Akane arrived beside him and he climbed on her back.

Akane swiftly gained attitude, but was still followed by Aokiji who had through some weird technique followed them in the air.

Ban dangled his feet sidewards from her back, resting his head on his hands.

"Ya know, Admiral-san. No one likes it when others are stubborn. Why don't you look after your subordinates, they need your attention more than we do~"

The smiled on Ban's face widened when Aokiji's face was finally revealing some irritation.

"Don't think you can get away from me, I'll definitely catch you." Aokiji said as he began to defend again to save his subordinates from the fire.

"Yeah, yeah. See you next time, Admiral-san~"

Ban waved and turned his attention to the vivre card in his hand. It moved towards a certain point east.

"Haaa, that was fun. I wonder which stong guys will be our next opponent? Though we really need some strong people in our crew too. It's not fun having only two fighters during a battle. Next time Laffitte should join too. I really want to see how well he battles~"

Ban said as he managed to find a bottle of good sake from who knows where and began to drink merrily.

Akane grunted in annoyance, but kept it to herself as she followed the vivre card towards Laffitte. While Ban seemed to have enjoyed himself greatly, Akane could feel a few bullet wounds acting up.

Though her giant fox form was really strong, it wasn't bullet proof. She'd managed to deflect a lot with her tails, but it wasn't surprising that a few still got through.

The next crew member should definitely be a doctor. That way she wouldn't have to worry so much over injuries.

Akane gritted her teeth and flew further towards the direction Laffitte was. Once there, she could rest and hope her regeneration would take care of the wound.
