CHAPTER 15 Anger

Upon getting to camp Dalton came up to her with the look of worry. "Where were you? Are okay? Your not hurt are you?"

Elizabeth heaved a heavy sigh. " I just want to go to bed, and im perfectly fine." Elizabeth curtly remarked as she rode to the place where she put Fred up. Dalton followed her all the way there. "Are you sure your okay, you should have told me you were going out of camp I would have came with you." This kind of angered Elizabeth she finally had enough and stopped taking off Fred's saddle and turned around. " Are you questioning my capabilities Lieutenant Summers?" Her gaze was cold, he started to reply. " No it's jus-" Elizabeth cut him off.

"It's just what? I don't need anybody's protection I'm sorry if it seemed like I did. I'm guessing you don't know how much the Queen, my mother makes her children train in combat. Even though I am a girl ive put my brother James in the dirt on multiple occasions, I am equally skilled as my eldest brother Luke. If you think my brother Prince Luke needs protection aswell then you more than ready to duel him or even me. I am fine with putting you in the dirt aswell Lieutenant." After she was done with my rant she grabbed the hilt of my sword and glared at him. She was so angery she didn't even bother to keep her eye closed. None the less her gaze was cold and full of anger.

He looked as if he had seen a ghost.

He composed himself once more and started speaking calmly. " Its clear to see your tired I'll let you get some rest.

We'll continue this conversation in the morning." He bowed his head and turned his heels and left. Elizabeth watched him leave and then turned around back to Fred and took his saddle off. She rubbed his side, he turned his neck and looked at her. She looked into his eyes they were full of worry. She gave him a gentle smile and gave him a sugar cube.

She walked back to her tent, and got into her pallet and sighed. She thought about all that had transpired today. While silently letting sleep take over.
