That moment when you realize that sometimes, just looking at things makes it magical, and learning more about it makes it normal.
A Globe, three meters across, hovers above the support group. Just above their heads, light streams in and out of the geometric figure, rotating faster and faster, seen from afar it would look like the planet Neptune, but up close it would look like a glowing storm confined like a snow globe.
"Come on tell us?" the Priests pressed further for more information on the strange spell that has materialized within the confines of the dungeon.
"First is [Storm Eye] a climate control skill from the book 'Tempest' in the magician's library. As the name suggests, It's a spell that creates a miniature storm with me at the center," SayaShin informed.
"Second is [Sphere Of Wind] if used on players it is a shield, but if used on others it becomes a cage. A spell I learned from the book 'Tornado' from the magician's library." Mizarin added.
"Then what about the other two?" Leyrdi inquired.
"It's just the Usual," stated Blissful.
"The [Aura Drain] and [Aura Compression] were engraved inside the sphere, powered by all four of us." supplemental Ashanti.
While the group was wondering about how the phenomena were possible, a Black mist started drifting towards the center of the pavilion, towards the Neptune-Like Orb. The mist that was drifting in thick clouds of black particles began dying the once blue atmosphere to black, that slowly but surely drips black fluid that was bottled by the four supports.
The frozen Void Beasts were trying to flee away from the pavilion, while the courageous ones that are yet to experiencing the terror of being asked dry, frantically rushed towards the group, praying to suffer the same fate.
"The beasts are gathering too slowly, at this rate I will run out of mana before the next wave arrives." SayaShin who maintains the storm proclaimed in the group chat.
"We'll go gathered the creatures and bring them here." VerBoss looked at Shapeless after he did this on the intercom.
"Let's finish this wave first so that we can rearrange ourselves," Ashanti stated before any could make their move.
The group continued to cast the spells of time, devouring the many lesser void beasts that approach them and those that were attracted by the bunch.
After twenty minutes or so, the group rearranged themselves, removing the two kiters from their set-stone formation, creating an octagon within a hexagon, this is their positioning when the two were eliminated, boosting the area that the storm spell could encompass, w while increasing the monster count.
"Lure as many as you can." Shouted AleyaNala to the two speedsters that are about to depart.
"Roger!" the two recited as they depart into the depth of void.
On the inner side of the formation, that group of supports shortly began conjuring the Neptune-like sphere. The spell that SayaShin released cost exactly five thousand MP points, with the boost that he gained from the inlaid Orbs on his chakram he was enabled to maintain the spell indefinitely, as long as he doesn't move from where he stood. Instead of just being rooted, Mizarin suggested he bottle the Void Essence that is being collected, while the other three danced maintaining the spells and mitigating the damage received by the vanguards. Fortunately, there were the Druid's staves that kept the supports MP and HP above Ideal.
The hunters, on the other hand, was moving like cheetahs hunting their prey, racing over the vast land. VerBoss wielded the bow that he once lent SayaShin, firing arrow after arrow towards the wondering Void Beasts, then runs towards the pavilion striking every beast on his path, making sure that there are no stragglers. Shapeless on the other hand strikes the monsters with his dagger just to attract its attention then runs to keep his distance then repeat the process making sure that the beasts keep on following him.
Assembling with the others, the two hunters being pursued by creatures, pass through the transparent pillars allowing the hundreds of beast surround the group as expected.
When the beast rain down on the casting group, spells of [Frozen Time] fell on the attackers, sealing the beasts in the influence of the Neptune Sphere, quickly devouring the energy out of the dark matter.
For about ten minutes of dancing, running, and singing the party eventually consumed all the beasts that roam the first floor of the Void Tower. Funneling the Void Energy into a Florence Flask rather than the old test tube vials, storing more with an equivalent number of bottles stack.
"Alright to the Woods." AleyaNala commanded the company, leading the way to the woods to farm some Firewood.
"Hey, SayaShin what do you think about Guilds?" VerBoss asked SayaShin the question as if it was something random that just popped in his head, while still farming the woods.
"Guilds?... Hmm... I don't really know, I haven't thought about the prospect of being in a guild, so I don't think that my opinion is of any significance."
"Ohh... I just thought you could give me some suggestions if you do happen to join a guild."
"If I am going to join a guild, it would be a guild that is inclined towards lifestyle players rather than adventuring."
"Would you consider if I happen to invite you to join my Guild?"
"What?... You have a Guild?"
"No! It's just that I and the others were thinking of making one, so I thought we should invite you and Mizarin as well."
"Ohh... Sorry, VerBoss but you see we couldn't join a guild even if we wanted to. Mizarin and I are both restricted in doing so."
"Is it a system restriction or a policy you need to uphold?"
"It's a system restriction."
"Ohh. How unfortunate. Anyways, if ever we do make a guild both of you will be our honorary members how about that?"
"Thanks VerBoss, but what would the others think about this?"
"We had a discussion earlier since both of you seemed to have reservations, everyone thought you might reject so." VerBoss said reassuringly.
There are only two cases where a player couldn't join a guild, one is that they already belong to one, and the other is that they are employed by the government or the company.
Everybody participated in farming the woods from the Void forest, chopping down every tree within the first floor in less than ten minutes, leaving a barren wasteland waiting to be reset.
Moving on to the second level, the party agreed on deciding the team into four groups, four persons for the Storm Globe, four for the Spell corp, two for Harvesting, and two for Kiting.
The party's positions we're thus changed, creating a four-pillared pavilion with the Herald, Paladin, with two Avath's standing in-between the pillars, and a Bishop, a Druid, an Oracle, and a Shaman standing atop the canopy maintaining the Storm Globe, two quick Druids lured the beasts into the time trap and a pair of a Knight and a Harbinger harvested the forest.
In a matter of minutes, the second floor was cleared without anybody dying nor did it pose any greater challenge to the group. The drawback of this endeavor was that the drop and experience did not increase compared to the drops from the first floor even though the monsters level is a little elevated and the damage is higher, having no increase in essence, that the beast's accumulated.
Leaving for the third floor after the massacre and illegal logging, the group reigned down another carnage and a wasteland, proceeding to the fourth floor, where they encounter a void creature with tentacles that stream out of its outlines with eyes peaking from within, that looks like an ever combining strips of light. These creatures are called the Void Guard, a lesser Void creature that protects the Boss.
With what the team has been doing, the Void Guard were easily taken care of, without ever encountering the Boss. During the fourth floor run, the team has almost exhausted all their Florence Flasks to contain the Void energy released by the Void Guards. Fortunately, they still have some extra test tube vials that were emptied during their purchase of some talisman from the Alchemist.
"Let's rest up a moment. While we tally all the drops, only the boss is on the top floor." Ashanti suggested to AleyaNala who was quite tired after the new information about the Void creature from the fourth floor almost overwhelmed her. The Void guards were stronger than the previous even without the boost from the leaked essences.
"Mizarin, You said you encountered the boss before. How do we deal with it?"
"We first seal it inside the [Temple of Time] then we place the sealing orb on the pedestal up on the roof of the structure, the invoke the sealing spell, afterward activate the Talisman then the orb will be performed."
"You make it sound so easy."
"The hardest part is containing it in the pavilion, the creature has a wider area of influence where if anyone is caught inside it, casting a spell will be forbidden or else you die instantly."
"So, do you think we can manage this beast?"
"Sure, it should be the size of a tennis ball."
"Then how are you going to cast a spell of you could die instantly?"
"No Problem SayaShins [Life Sacrifice] will keep me alive and your Druid's staff will keep him living."
Hearing the partial strategy, AleyaNala inferred that Mizarin was still hiding something from them.
"What else is there? It seems that your plan has yet to tell us why you wanted the boss to be sealed."
"Hehe... Release the Void essences that we have condensed when the beast is completely contained within the Temple... Don't worry, the beast could not escape the cage even if it became too powerful. It is the only thing that could protect us from the creature unless you cast a spell that is."
After hearing the full explanation of the plan, the member's doubts were nowhere to be seen, thinking that they better see for themselves what this mysterious boss has to offer.
Entering the fifth Floor, the group was greatest with dating but a small cavern room about a hundred meters wide. At the center was a single Orb floating on the air, with letters hovering above it. It reads [Tako(Young Void Creature)], it is neither a lesser creature nor a guard. It is a bonified Void Creature that is right in front of them.
The name that started (Young Void Creature) caught everyone's attention. Now knowing why Mizarin wanted the Boss, it was because it is a bonified beast unlike the lesser and the four creatures on the lower levels of the miniature tower.
"I will begin now, position your selves at least fifty meters from the creature. I have a casting range of twenty-five meters, and SayaShin has the same with the help of the chakram."
"Alright, we will assist SayaShin on keeping you alive after the spell was invoked. Is there anything else?" AleyaNala stated in search of reassurance.
"When it is contained, wait for my signal to proceed with the release of the essence."
Walking towards the said distance, mizarin prepared to use the spell [Tenple of Time], and SyaShin positioned himself just a step away from the control range of the Void Creature. SayaShin at this time was already sending HP and MP towards Mizarin being converted to HP, while the four Druids Staff was planted behind him, restoring the units he lost faster than he could send.
When Mizarin invoked the Spell, everyone was shocked. The moment the pillars appeared Mizarin's HP dropped to one, thanks to SayaShin supplying HP to her, a single unit of HP allowed her [Oracle's Vision] spell, that she stacked on herself, to take effect and get her HP points back to 50% which was slowly being replenished.
The creature, on the other hand, began to retaliate violently, sending black orbs towards the caster that it recognizes. Unfortunately, the structure prevents the attack to pass through the transparent wall.
"Release!" Mizarin said through the intercom.
Having received the command, the others opened their inventory and released the bottled energy. In the game, bottling liquid is harder than spilling them, players are required to take out a bottle to fill it with contents, but for consuming or spilling contents they just need to select the bottle and select pour, then enter the number of bottles that needed to be emptied, players no longer need to uncork and pour the contents one by one.
About twelve thousand Florence Flaskes were emptied in an instant. The group observed the changes in the creature as it consumes released energy.
10 seconds passed the name changes to [Tako(Void Creature)] Mizarin summoned another Temple.
1 minute passed the name changed to [Tako(Void Creature Mature)] another temple was raised.
5 minutes the name became [Tako(Young Void Ancient)]
10 minutes the creature started to evolve [Tako(Young Void Mythic)]
This was when the last temple was stood with tho others.
Five [Temple of Time] was erected overlapping each other, six pillars on each side of the octagonal structure. When observed it would look like a birdcage with an oversized bird inside, and that it was about to explode. This was when Mizarin touched a pillar then suddenly appeared on the pedestal, placing the orb on it, then jumps off. After reciting the excitation to activate the item, it shattered becoming powdered dust.
Mizarin wasn't fazed by the shattering of the orb, she took out the Time Loop Talisman and threw it in the air reciting another incantation. The Talisman flee to where the Orb was placed, then started spinning faster and faster. One moment the item was spinning on the next the entire pavilion started warping towards the charm, then suddenly a black orb slowly descended from where the talisman was whirling.
"Sucess!" Mizarin shouted. Picking up the item, appraising, and then sharing it with the group.
