"You can go in now." The soldier ushered, his deep voice was more of commanding than announcing. Still, Xianne walked in with nervous legs.

Her eyes met her father's figure. They dressed him in a gray suit, and he did not age a little. He was exactly the same when she saw her yesterday. But missing him felt more than a yesterday's time.

"Dad!" She said and hugged her father.

Her father chuckled, saying her name. "Why weren't you with your mother?"

Xianne pulled away, and they sat on the bench. "Mom visited you?"

"Yes. How are you?"

"I should ask you that. I'm fine, though I'm not used to not seeing you around at home. If that's what you want to hear." Xianne rambled looking at her fingers, keeping her tears at bay.

"Good to hear that you still miss me."

"Dad!" Christiaso chuckled. "How's the twins?"

"They were asking why are you at home."
