CHAPTER 25

"My name is Tim and she is my wife Wendy. We are traders specializing in spices.", Arata said while introducing himself.

"Oh ! Please come inside the guild. Register the amount of spices, their types and prices you are willing to sell. You will be informed when you get a customer.", the lady in the maid gown said. The trade guild building was truly large, it could be compared to the Mahler's hideout. But we are here to gather information, and for that, we definitely need money, and quickly. Spices are sold for high prices in the Gustak Empire, and were cheaply available in the Alvarez Empire. Besides, the Alvarez Empire never traded and was self sufficient in everything, so people did not know the real price of spice here.

This was the capital city of Gustak, known as Greyal. This was a very bustling city and the population matched the population in Cumae. There were no cultivators here but there were sewer rats and information brokers.

Arata and Rachel went back towards the inn room they had just purchased for 3 days. The inn was a comfy place which was two floors high. The owner of the hotel named Garcia, was a 40 year old woman and she had given a sewer rat vibe to Arata. So, Arata knew, this owner must be an exceptional information broker. But until Arata received customers to buy those spices, he was not going to reveal his identity.

"Our first time outside the country. Shouldn't we make some memories?", Rachel asked. She seemed to be turned on.

"Well, Fine then. Let's get some action.", Arata said.

In the evening, after the exercise and light sleep, they went out. They first went to the guild, if anyone wanted to buy the spices. They had even gone so far to reduce the price a bit to lure some customers. Sure enough, another trader was willing to repay back in Gustak gold. He was willing to pay 1500 Gustak gold for 10 kg of spices brought by Rachel and Arata. The deal was accepted and Arata and Rachel got their money. To give a comparison, the total cost of a room of an inn for 1 day was 1 Gustak gold. So Arata and Rachel had actually become quite rich !

"Let's go for a drink, and collect as much information.", Rachel said.

The bar was in the shape of the tavern. The soup and Nuggets provided by the Bar was extremely tasty. 100 silver Gustak were 1 Gustak Gold. And Arata and Rachel spent a total of 115 Silver Gustak on their meal. They bought all sorts of drinks and cocktails and were drunk through. The bar was managed by a Tilly, a young woman in her 20s with braids and the owner of the shop was George.

"So, I heard that there was the ceremony of the new king, Wimbeldon III a month ago. He is also the youngest king since the Shota IV.", Arata said.

"Are you a traveller ? Which country did you come from.", George asked.

"We came from the Western Clover kingdom.", Rachel replied. That was the farthest kingdom she knew, and these people should have the least information about it, so it will be easy to handle.

"Oh ! That's rare around here. Yes ! The new king is very generous. He has always pursued scientific exploration, and gives alchemists the way to shine.", George said.

It looks like this kingdom's development is a bit backwards, Arata thought. After all, there is the Law of Conservation of Mass, so the concept of creating something out of nothing has already been long disregarded. This was primary education in the Eastern Clover kingdom, where Arata and Rachel previously lived. Although Arata and Rachel were Pianists and Chess Grandmasters, that didn't mean they didn't know about science. Arata was interested in Biology, which he sometimes discussed with Igsem.

"Recently, a compound called Nitro balala has been discovered which could bring the downfall of Entire kingdoms it seems. And so they are planning to use it on the Alvarez empire.", George said.

Is their king dumb ? Letting such a stupid information being rattled off. I guess, we have to report to the Alvarez empire, that there could be use of TNTs now. Although Spade kingdoms had already attacked us with it, it didn't really affect our Cultivators.

"Hmm… I see.", Arata said to George. They then gave him Gustak gold and left the Tavern.

Fortunately or Unfortunately, Cultivators at Arata's level did not get drunk, and were calm all the time.

Rachel slammed a bag of Gustak Gold in front of Garcia after they returned.

"We need as much as information possible about the system of Gustak. Don't worry, we will pay."
