CHAPTER 38

Arata thought in the time Rachel was out hunting for king and instilling fear, he would talk to Misty and also, finally open the book he borrowed from Igsem. The book on Hypnosis.

The first few pages of this book mostly told about the art of Hypnosis. It is not merely an art of subduing others or controlling them. It also includes altering a person's behaviour and curing many phobias. But it also gave it's cons. It was not an art which is easily masterable. It requires a special talent and it is also not constant. The success rate totally depends on the person performing Hypnosis.

Arata knew all this, but still decided to read all the cautions and drawbacks, just to be safe. The book contained four parts. The first part is about curing phobias. There are mostly two types of phobias, One is from trauma and one is from the fear of unknown and uncertainty.

The phobias caused due to traumas like Plane crashes, insect bites in a very young age are mostly the common forms of it. There were steps to perform to treat this. You could use one of the patient's valuable items, the more close it is to the patient the better. Then make them remember the incident in which they got the trauma and ask them to close their eyes. Then open their palm and place that valuable object in their palm and ask them to look at it. It is better if it is performed at night.

Arata wasn't really interested in this particular thing, but deduced that hypnosis mostly dealt with managing brain circuits and changing them, or disabling them. Like in case of removing memories, the method was to confuse them with questions about what they were doing at the particular time. For example, if they had dinner in a hotel, try asking them about an incident which took place somewhere else at the same time, or just try not to make those memories come over him. And say stuff like you saw them at this party that day, and try to understand him more. After that, there was specific equipment which you could buy and then use. Apparently, they meddled with the brain waves and they would start believing the story you fabricated.

"Fair enough. Those are pretty good ways for hypnotism.", Misty said.

"You think so ?", Arata asked back.

"Yes, I believe there are such instruments present in this world, because of the warps.", Misty said.

"Warps ?", Arata asked her.

"Warps are like rips in space which occur in mostly caves or odd environments. The instruments mentioned can be found there. Although, mortals were the ones who found the correct use of it. Must have required a lot of research, as it is completely out of their reach.", Misty said.

"Out of their reach ?", Arata asked.

"You are able to understand the Dimensional theory now right. Like imagine people living in two dimensional space imaging 3 D.", Misty said.

"They can..'t", Arata thought. That's right ! 2 D people won't feel anything if their world is folded. Unless, you join them. Then you could teleport. But that's not the case for 3 D people, as they can see it from the outside.

So it's the same for us and the 4 dimensional… organisms. Arata was baffled by this.

"Although people in this world will come to understand this eventually. After staying with this lower dimension, I saw many things while you were fighting the Brittania. This "civilisation" has potential.", Misty said.

"Who are scroll Masters ?", Arata couldn't help but ask now.
