CHAPTER 69

It hit Solork. The shot hit him as they were running towards the greyish ugly beast. It hit him right in the head which cracked his skull and the entangled neuron cells from the brain came out. He was dead. Arata felt a weird feeling coming into his heart. So, this is what it feels to lose someone important.

The only thing in Arata's mind was to kill the beast for killing his good friend Solork. Solork was the reason Arata was where he is today in the cultivation world, and Arata mourns his death. Arata was also curious about the sniper. Anna and Alphonse were already ahead but Arata and Rachel caught up to them. Arata was really curious as to who the sniper was.

Then Arata saw her. His mother. He knew it somehow. That his mother would be the one to make a fucking mess, after all it was his mother.

"Long time no see.", Arata said to the beautiful figure on top of the beast. She was also staring down back at Arata. The assistant of Milana, she was staring right at Rachel. It seemed that they had a history. Good, Arata really wanted to kill her mom.

"What are you doing here ?", Milana asked Arata. She definitely didn't expect her son to be here. Well, now she was a higher level being, and she did not need to care about stuff about families, friends. The only mentality that worked in her world was practice and self-improvement. But she was definitely surprised to find Arata here.

"That doesn't matter right now. Who shot Solork ?", Arata asked Milana.

"Oh, That was me. I was bored, so I did that. It was from quite far so I am actually proud of it. My summoning spirit is from Pride after all.", Milana answered and started cackling like an evil witch. She had the aura of those forbidden beauties.

"Wll, then you will to die for that.", Arata said and immediately rushed towards her. But Milana had already seen Arata's cultivation. Milana thought that Arata was already ready to step into that world. But why hasn't he done so yet ? Is it because he doesn't know ? But he had a spirit in his body, that too of a high level.

She was ahead of Tsukishima in raw talent. She was able to deceive the people of the Spade kingdom and even juggled between loyalty towards the two top kingdoms she knew. Her decisiveness and ability to manipulate the top people like dolls was well known by the people of that world. She was basically a genius. She also had the capability of Arata to read every opponent's move.

Arata was struggling against her. She was also quite fast and did not give Arata any chance to use his Ultimate orb to do anything. It was quite a tricky opponent for Arata as she read his mind like an open book, meanwhile Arata was not able to do that as well as her. He could only read attacks, but Arata felt like this woman was manipulating her. Milana did not even attack a single time, but he felt attacked and kept attacking her. It was really pissing him off.

Meanwhile Rachel just stared at the assistant lady.

"Never expected the world champion to be here.", the assistant said.

"Yup same, you old cheating bitch hole !", Rachel said. The name of the assistant was Riza. And she was also a chess player. Except, she cheated against many matches and won her place. Rachel had finally beaten her, but she was really angry when she found out that Riza had cheated. She was banned from the chess community after it was found out she used unfair means to win her match.

"You still have a quite high temper huh ?", Riza said.

"Yes, I hated it when people were dishonest in their profession.", Rachel said.

"Well, look at you, going around and murdering people now !", Riza said.

"I don't wanna chat with you. I can sense you are still a useless personRachel replied, taunting her.
