CHAPTER 77

Raiku now only had one last trick left. He had to use all his strength to dodge towards the side and push Alphonse out as soon as possible. As of now, Alphonse was attacking in a perfect pattern, Raiku could throw him off with this. As soon as Raiku tried dodging, Alphonse stepped back, and in turn ruined Raiku's momentum. Raiku was going to block the attack but it never came. He did his best to balance himself but was kicked out by Alphonse. And so, Alphonse won.

The whole fight had actually only lasted for 230 seconds. The movements were very fast and so was Alphonse's healing. That all ended quick but to Arata and the group, it lasted pretty long. Arata thought this was pretty normal, some unexpected element and then the balance tilt of who is stronger. Raiku had an unexpected element but Alphonse won in the end.

"That was pretty normal for you right, Big brother ?", Shia asked him as she tugged Arata's shirt. It was the first time of her seeing such a serious fight. She had not seen Arata and Rachel sparring yet, so this was her first time.

"Yes. But don't worry, you will be as strong as Alphonse in a week. Till then, you won't participate.", Arata said, encouraging her. He had to both see the fights and train Shia. So he made a schedule for himself and Shia to get serious. He kept time for himself to watch the matches and assigned this time to Shia for cultivating. He had taught her mostly all tricks and expected her to get into atleast peak level in Silver Rank by the end of the week. She was almost peak Novice rank right now. He also kept enough time for Shia to watch atleast 8 matches (1 hour because sometimes fights dragged and some were small.)

The next match the watched was of the 6th seed and 13th seed. Seed as in they were ranked this according to their performances in the duels. Arata wanted to see what type of people who were considered strong in this tournament. Both the fighters looked pretty foreign, as they had slighted eyes and one was pretty fat. This kinda reminded of that friend of Greed who was called Hinata Kobayashi.

The fat person wrapped a rope around his stomach. And the other thin guy had dagger-like weapons but he was holding them weirdly, and he was the 6th seed. Arata predicted that he would be winning the match.

"Now the match between Shin (6th seed) and Junpei (13th seed) will start !", the referee said as he blew the whistle. As soon as the whistle blew, both the fighters rushed towards the centre. Arata was surprised by Junpei's speed. But he was more surprised at Shin. He had disappeared ! Arata only knew because he could sense his presence in that arena. But that also was very less. Arata guessed that shin must be a Summoner and Assassin. And both were Gold rank.

Shin attacked Junpei, but it had no effect, probably due to Junpei's Frontline and Enhancement. After several attacks, Junpei grabbed Shin by his hands with a flick of his hands. Apparently, Shin couldn't hide his shadow after becoming invisible and Junpei took advantage of this. Arata could hide his shadow if he was invisible due to the special particles Misty produced.

After Grabbing Shin, Junpei threw him as far as he could. Shin went almost at the edge of the Arena. Shin spat on the ground and then continued his onslaught. But by this time Junpei had grabbed more space on the Circle. Shin again regripped his dagger-like weapons and then became invisible. This time, he went from the side of the circle and went behind Junpei. Junpei saw this but did not have enough speed to prevent it. Shin jumped into the air and then Slashed several times in a second. Arata was impressed by this attack. To damage more, Shin attacked multiple times at the same time. Before Junpei could grab him again, he retreated.

But in this match, one couldn't win unless they pushed the other person out of the arena. Junpei had a turtle shell which couldn't be broken easily and stood his ground. So Shin had to figure out a way to push Junpei out of the arena.
