The first year

(Suzuki's POV)

Hard.

It was hard.

We have never been so in agreement with each other. All six of us were in physical and mental pain almost throughout the year.

My training of the year consisted of doing a lot of stamina workout because my quirk used a lot of stamina and if I wanted the range of my [Room] to improve, I must have a good foundation. Besides that, I didn't have any problem with my study, I can be compared to a sponge, I can absorb a lot of knowledge quite easily. A thing that impressed my professor of surgery which was keener to let me learn more about the medicine of this world. Quirks are a thing that complicates the surgery because of some people who have a completely different physiology from the basic human.

Learning how to process with these people is surely the hardest thing I am learning, and I seem to have a lot of roads ahead before the probability of successful surgery is 100%.

This year, the relationship between us grown a lot, even if we are not at the 'brothers and sisters' state. Kiku is a lot more sociable, even if she is still noncommittal, she no longer tries to avoid others but she grew closer to Erza and me because her personality didn't match a lot with Hitomi and Katsu, who are too noisy for her.

I also visited my cousin Katsuki who seemed to have grown a lot cockier because of the attention that people give him at school, after all for them he has an 'amazing potential' of hero but we all know that it is only because his quirk is powerful.

While I was giving him a good beati- I mean a life lesson as his big cousin, I noticed that there was a kid with green hair who seemed to be the (excuse me for the term) bitch of Katsuki. Hell, he even tried to defend Katsuki after the latter told him to go die because of his quirklessness. I don't understand this kid, he is way too stupid for me to figure what is happening in his head, even with all my knowledge of the human brain. He also has the goal of becoming a hero, but it is bound to never happen since he is quirkless. Fighting villains without quirk? It is plain suicide, even some heroes still die during fights despite having a powerful quirk.

So, I and my great wisdom whispered the truest words he will ever hear, words that his family surely never tried to tell him: "Are you crazy? Become a policeman, you will have a lot more chance to survive that way."

A sentence to which he replied with a face filled with resoluteness and stupidity: "I will never abandon my dream! I will be like All Might and will save a lot of people!"

Heh, stupid kid. If he wants to commit suicide so much then who am I to stop him? The amount of stupidity he radiates is so high that my IQ surely dropped by 2 or 3 points just by talking with him. No wonder Katsuki seems to be so stupid the poor guy is followed by a hysterical groupie.

Well whatever, he has no chance to awoken it later since he is born with the second join in his pinky toe.

And to be honest, with all the restrictions which will happen in the hero society, being a hero won't be so easy anymore.

Like Jotaro said, at the end of each year we will have a test to evaluate our improvement.

The test of this year is set up by Jotaro, it is quite a simple test. The only objective is to go to the furthest that we can in a forest filled with obstacles. We can use all means possible and we must not be caught by Mikita who is chasing us. Her quirk is a spatial quirk that seems to turn her body in a portal across which she can pass any object, as long as it is not larger than her. You are surely thinking that it is not useful in an obstacle course?

If so you are right.

The problem is that she is way too much trained compared to us, she can easily catch up with us, especially Erza, Hitomi, and Genta, they don't have any special reinforcement in their speed so they got caught way before they could exit the forest. Despite what I thought, Katsu wasn't so easily caught. Even if he wasn't injured, his physical strength is still greater than the one of a normal human, so his speed was a lot superior to the other three however his lack of flexibility led him into many obstacles which greatly slowed him down and allowed his capture.

Kiku and I were the only ones who could exit the forest. She could maintain her ethereal form enough to ignore all obstacles and tries of Mikita to capture her when she arrived at the finish line she almost fainted because of the high consumption of her ethereal form.

How did I escape her? It was easy since I could just teleport away when she was too close. Once she almost caught me but I switched her place with mine and used her head as support to jump away. After that, she seemed so angry that I was forced to continuously teleport to keep a decent distance between her and me.

I collapsed once the forest behind me. Using my quirk so many times is way too costly in stamina. When I looked behind me I saw that she was looking at me with an expression mixed with surprise and pride.

Suddenly, Jotaro-sama appeared behind me with a smile on his tired-looking face.

"I didn't expect you to outrun an angry Mikita, you and Kiku are the only ones who passed the test successfully, your training will be lighter than the other four this year."

A few minutes later, the rest of the team arrived in a rather depressing atmosphere.

"You all did better than what I thought, but know that your training will be way harder this year because you failed to complete the test. You can go rest, your next year of training will begin in one week."

'Here we go again...' all kids thought at the same time.
