Chapter 3

Jaune woke up to the first rays of sun ,He heard someone snoring very abnormally and for some odd reason, he thought it was Yang. But he quickly shrugged the idea aside. Rapidly blinking he checks on the scroll gave him to see what time it was still 4:30. Jaune decides to go and take a quick jog around the school before taking a shower.

Jaune walks into the cafeteria after taking a shower and grabs healthy breakfast before going to the locker room.

Once he was in the locker room, he went to retrieve Crocea Mors and his armor from the locker he'd stored them in.

'I really need a more flexible and light armor, and a Dobok too' Jaune thought to himself as he strapped his sword to his hip.

Looking around he found Ruby and Yang talking between themselves ,the former talking a bit more calmly while the latter looks a bit irritated. Jaune walks up next Ruby and greets," Hello Ruby, Hello Yang".

"Jaune tell Yang that she's wrong and I don't have to make friends!" Ruby pouts. Quite cutely if he might add, seeing here like this ,Jaune couldn't help but tease the girl.

"Really Ruby , I thought you promised me you will not give up on that White haired girl , and make her your friend"Jaune said making the most 'I am greatly disappointed in you' look he could muster.

"What !? No, I will not give up on her"Said a startled looking Ruby while flailing her arm around, thinking Jaune would hate her seeing as she forgot her promise not even a day after making it , only to see him laughing with yang.

"Don't tease me you meanie" Said a pooting Ruby as stared at her friend and sister laughing, but inside she is quite happy at seeing them getting along , even after horrible first impression.

"I'm sorry about that Ruby. And you don't have to worry about making friends, just be yourself and I'm sure they'll come along before you even notice" Ruby then just blush while Jaune ruffles her hair in a brother-like fashion.

Yang smile seeing as she had made a good friend on her first day at school.

"Would all first-year students please report to Beacon Cliff for initiation, again, all first-year students please report to Beacon Cliff immediately." The voice was unmistakably Professor Goodwitch's, and as such the students inside the locker room began filing out.

"C'mon Jaune, Ruby. we don't want to make professor Goodwitch angry before the initiation even started" Yang said as she made her way to the cliff with Jaune and Ruby soon on her tail.

Once Jaune and the two sisters made it to the cliff, he took in the two figures of the headmaster and Professor Goodwitch, one standing there with a rather passive expression and the other with impatience, respectively.

The other students stood atop metal platforms, all marked with the Beacon Academy logo, and Jaune quickly took a spot, then he listened to Ozpin's instruction.

"For years, you have trained to become warriors, and today your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest," Headmaster Ozpin spoke, adding no further explanation.

"Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumours about the assignment of teams. Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates… today," Glynda explained.

At that Jaune was sure he heard a cute whine.

"These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon, so it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with which you can work well. That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years," Ozpin said, a slight smile on his face.

this time, Jaune heard the loud "WHAT!" of Ruby next to him.

Jaune just ruffles her hair and tells her," I'm sure you'll find someone great to be your partner." Ruby looks up at Jaune with hopeful eyes asking,"Really?" Jaune merely smiles and replies, " Of course Ruby , after all we meet the people we're supposed to when the time is just right . And the time for you is now"

Ruby stares at Jaune with stars on her eyes while Jaune just continue smiling while the get a few weird stares from the other students. Jaune just shrugs as Ozpin clears his throat and says," Get ready to launch."

Jaune smiles confidently while he channels his his Ki while watching the other students getting launched into the forest, before he gets launched himself.

Jaune use his walking technique to glide into the emerald forest.

When Jaune touches down , the first thing he sees is three Ursa minor , and an Ursa major that just took notice of him. without wasting any time he use Jin ,to move so fast that it appears that he moved toward the Ursa major instantaneously within the blink of an eye. He uses strike it with a Soul-Crushing Strike at it temple , Immediately destroying its head.

Seeing this, the Ursa minor closest to him , enraged, attacked him with a claw swing. Jaune uses a Hweh leaving a great wind pressure that took the entire arm of the Ursa that just attacked him, only to reappear between two other ursa , while swinging his sword at them , decapitating them in a single sword strike.

Seeing, the last Ursa thrashing around without his arm, he just walk to him before plunging his sword deep into its skull kill it instantly

"Enjoyed the show ?"Says Jaune as he looks at the the grimm corpses as they evaporates.

"Sorry about , it's just you were so fast that I couldn't really help you." Says a girl voice before he sees a red headed girl coming out of the wood.

"My name is Jaune Arc , nice to meet you miss?"

"Pyrrha, Pyrrha Nikos, nice to meet you too, and it looks like we are partners hope we can even be friends ."says Pyrrha at Jaune, who smiles sweetly at Jaune seeing he doesn't recognise her. ' I can finally make some friend , good thing that schnee girl haven't found me yet , I have no doubt she is searching for me'.

"Of course pyrrha after all as mother always says ' strangers are just friends you haven't met yet' , Now let's make our way to the ruins "jaune said as he bedan walking with pyrrha beside him.

They trudged along to the ruins in companionable silence until they actually reached the temple. They were met with 2 people. Yang with a black haired girl.

"Hello there" Jaune greets while Pyrrha waves to them ,to which Yang replies with a," Sup vomit boy." while the black haired girl just nods.

"Guess those are the relics aren't they" Jaune says while holding a tower chess piece before passing it to Pyrrha.

While the three were were talking with each other , with blake not actually joining the conversation , they suddenly heard a screeching coming from above.

"Isn't that your sister" blake asked Yang who just nodded in response.

"HEADS UP" that's all they heard before they saw Ruby skydiving from a nevermore.

Seeing what about to happen Jaune immediately jumped with a Ki enhanced jump and caught Ruby.

"Just drop in?" Jaune said as Ruby just smiled as he put her on the ground, While Yang came and hugged her little sister.

Just then they heard a loud cry up above saying "WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME!?"

"I told her to jump."Ruby said while pouting cutely.

"She's gonna fall."responded Blake.

"She'll be fine."

"She's falling"

And she was falling, FAST!

"Allow me" said pyrrha as she jumped to catch her, clearly annoyed that she was left out from all the fun.

atching Weiss in her arms. Unclipping her shield from her back then proceeded to stand on her shield and used her semblance, to slow down their fall. As they were nearing the ground,Pyrrha backflipped, and landed gracefully on one knee with both of his arms still holding the stunned heiress. She then looked at Weiss and asked with a concerned tone in his voice "Hope you are alright Weiss?".

"I am fine, and thank you for catching me pyrrha"Said Weiss as she thanked pyrrha before getting up on her own.

"Well , I can't say I am not impressed P-money" Said Yang while looking at the two girls.

"P-money?"Pyrrha said while still looking at the young heiress and thinking, 'Maybe, just maybe she isn't that bad'

"Run Renny, ruuun"

"I'm running Nora, I'm Running"

As yang was about to respond to Pyrrha she was interrupted by the loud of shouting coming from the forest, looking around she found her targets to be an orange haired girl and black haired boy ,running from the biggest deathstalker she had ever seen.

"It's a Deathstalker!" Pyrrha said.

"Of course it is" Yang said as she got ready to fight.

"The Nevermore's coming back" Jaune said, Everyone looked up to see the Nevermore circling back.

"Great now we can die together" Yang said with sarcasm.

"Not if I can help it ."Said Ruby , Before she speeds of towards the death stalker with a battle cry, only for her scythe to bounce of as it hit his armor.

With the nevermore attention now on her, it cries out , as it send out its feather at her. Seeing the situation looking 'grimm', she tries to run away only to fall, as her Cape was got by one of the feathers.

"distract the nevermore" Seeing Ruby in danger Jaune said , before using Jin disappearing from where he was standing.

Seeing how Jaune suddenly disappeared from here vision, Pyrrha understood what he ment , changed her weapon into its rifle mode , and began shooting the nevermore, soon enough , the other joined her against the flying Grimm.

as for Jaune, he appeared right besides Ruby, getting out the feather from her cape ,Caught the girl in his arm before disappearing again in time to miss, the death stalker stinger strike ,only to appear above above the death stalker head with his sword drawn and ruby close to his chest, while the the death stalker stinger lays flat on the ground.

Ruby could only look in disbelief, as Jaune coldly says"Jin-won-gak" , and the next thing she knows ,was them on top of the now broken corpse of the giant Deathstalker.

"You know Crater Face, even though I love the sensation of you hugging me like this, I think you are more closer to breaking my neck, than your face is to mine " Said Jaune , Said Jaune while looking at at the little reaper's face , whose eyes soon widden with realisation, as she all but throw herself out of his arms, with a face redder than Pyrrha's hair.

" I AM SO SORRY" said Ruby, trying desperately to hide her blushing face under her now hooded cloak.

"You know, as long as don't tell Yang about this, everything is forgiven"Jaune said , trying desperately to hide his laughter with a face of seriousness . Ruby just nodded her head to him refusing to meet his eyes.

Looking, at his new friends who were still fighting the nevermore not far from, he suddenly remembered something.

"Hey Ruby give your hand" hearing him Just blushed and gave him her.

As for Jaune, as soon he got hold of her hand he began using his semblance to amplify her aura.

"Woah, What's that Jaune? I feel so strong" Ruby said excitedly .

"This , is my semblance, and it amplifies aura" said Jaune while watching Ruby practically jumping from excitement.

"Now Ruby , I want you you to jump on my sword while using your semblance" 'man that sounds so wrong' "then I'm gonna swung at the nevermore who is busy fighting the others, and you gonna behead it. Once you do I'll be there to catch so you don't have to worry about falling off. Can you do that Ruby" Jaune asked Ruby getting an excited nod from the girl.

"Ok then" turning his sword so Ruby can put her feats on the flat area. jaune used his Ki strengthen his body, while also using his semblance to amplify his aura passive boost

"Wow" Ruby was amazed as she saw Jaune glow white with aura

Jaune took a breath before ,he swung ruby as hard as he can toward the flying nevermore.

The others who were fighting the nevermore only saw a black blur before the decapitated body of the nevermore falls besides them.

"Is that your sister again ?"Asked the stoic looking blake.

"RUBY!!" screeched Yang as she was about to run after her sister a voice.

"Now now Yang, where are you going all alone? and I am pretty sure the cliff isn't that way"

"What do you mean by that , Ruby is in ..!!" Began Yang only to stop when she turns, only to find her blushing Ruby getting down from Jaunes arms, before looking and smiling at her big sister.

"Yang,Yang ! Have you seen that ! Jaune was like : Ruby , Get on my sword !, Then he went all white , and the next thing I know was the word moving so fast, you know ,I'm sure I would've missed if his aim wasn't so good, and then do next thing I know was I was in his arms again"as Ruby finished her little tail , everyone was looking at her while blushing. Well , almost everyone, Yang was looking looking downright murderous, her red eyes glowing for the word to see.

"ARC !! Get ready for the beating of your life..! Eh Where did HE GO!!"Shouted Yang , getting everyone attention at the now missing boy.

"He said he'll meet you at the cliff."Pyrrha said trying to cool down her blush but failing to.

"Oh and Ruby, He wanted me to also tell you : 'Well played Ruby, never tough you were this good at it' " Said Pyrrha ,caring to not look at the little reaper in the eyes.

"THE BASTARD!! wait till I get my hand on you"cried out Yang .Ruby who heard that couldn't help but blush as she tried to clear away the misunderstanding , before thing turn more complicated.
