Chapter 4

"ᵀʰⁱˢ ⁱˢ ʷʰᵉⁿ ᵉⁿᵒᵘᵍʰ ⁱˢ ᵉⁿᵒᵘᵍʰ"

Elena's POV :

I dropped my bag and went to the bathroom and I immediately locked the door . I washed my face and looked at the mirror. I'm indeed a witch. And I didn't like what I saw . I hate myself I hate myself so much I can't wait to leave this place.

I shut my eyes tightly trying to focus and catch my breath My face was so ugly and streaked with tears. The next thing I left the bathroom and I headed to the dorm ! Yes today I decided that I'm going to skip all my classes no matter how important they are I'm not in the mood . I burst into to tears when I reached the dorm . God I'm so weak . But why ... What did I do to deserve this?

I didn't eat anything today except for the apple that I took with me this morning . I tried to study and catch up on my subjects but it was hard because thoughts were blowing up in my head making it impossible to sleep early even though I only slept yesterday for like what ? 3 hours? thinking about what happened this morning. I felt unsafe I felt the need to stay with someone all the time because I don't think Asher will leave me alone after he knew . I need to stop thinking or my head will explode . But I finally I went to sleep after 2 hours of trying.

9:20 PM

On my nightstand my phone began to ring . I glanced at the clock I almost choked it's 9:20 PM !!!! I was indeed exhausted

I reached over and my eyes widened at the caller ID .

It was my dad .

He is  the last one I want to talk to He had no right to call me . My dad abandoned me and my mom when I was only 10 years old I mean how dare he ! Calling me as if nothing ever happened? My life is not revolving door for him to come and go as he pleased and beside I haven't spoken with him in 4 months. He tried to call several times but I didn't really pick up I always leave him a message saying that I'm busy with my studies or I had nothing to say .

But in the end I can't keep ignoring his calls I know dad ... if he can't reach me he will definitely go to mom and I really don't want him to reach or talk to her .

I pressed the green button .

"Yes ?" I asked with the least amount of excitement.

"Hello how's my baby girl? "

I really want to vomit.

"Fine ... Ummm why are you calling me?"

"Elena please..I just want to say hi and check on ."

I hate how he pretends as if nothing happened.

"I said I'm fine ...what else do you want "

"Elena please I'm trying.."

"No you are not like your call would make up for everything? Stop it because its not working "  my hand clenched the phone.

"I'm trying my best to make it up to you sweetie I-I... ummm .. listen..Charlotte and I decide to take you out for dinner how does that sound ? So you guys can know each oth.."

My hand clenched at the phone as I heard that woman's name the woman who stole my father away for me when I needed him the most .

I cut him off immediately .

"What the hell are you saying dad .. you think I want to talk and be close to that woman? Do you think this will solve it . Well guess what .. not in a million years " I said through my teeth .

He sighed " she's not a bad person please give her a chance Elena .. "

"The answer is still no .. and besides dad you had no right to call me so stop acting like you care .. goodbye "

With that I ended the call Not caring if he's hurt or not .I was trying to catch my breath. I was breathing heavily as I paced the room he abandoned me and now he's back? Slowly I took a deep breaths in order to calm myself down. I walked into the dresser and  picked up something comfy to wear I decided to take a shower .

I felt refreshed after i took a bath for almost half an hour I went into the small kitchen and prepare something to eat .

I decided to study a little since I have nothing to do . I was about to leave the kitchen when something ringed it was definitely not my phone the ring was totally different and besides it wasn't coming from my phone my eyes went to the laptop which was laying on the kitchen table I made my way to the laptop. And it was a Skype ringtone meaning that someone was calling me . I sat in front of the laptop reading the name on it .

Jade Brown.

Wait a second how did she get the ...

Without waiting I accepted the call she's my friend after all ..

Hahahah yeah right .

The face of her popped onto the screen.

I waved at her "hi jade ! "

"Helloooooo Elena What's up " she said in excitement.

I chuckled " I'm doing great Jadeeeeee"

We both laughed .

"So how was your your day without me " She asked .

"It was both stressful and terrible " I said

"That's ok bae "

I nodded.

She rested her palm on her her chin " is everything ok ? You don't seem right... she was drinking peer " spit it out did that ward do something to you ? " she said in a serious tone .

She was referring to Asher.

"Nah" I lied

"Are you sure " she raised an eyebrow " by looking at your face right now I think you are laying spit it out Elena that's why friends are here " she smirked ..

Should I her tell that I received this creepy message last night? I mean she's my friend now ? And friends stick together I suppose... ?

Here goes nothing..

"Look I don't how to say it ... but someone was texting me terrible things last night."

She moved closer the camera,  and I stood up to pick the phone from my room " Elena where are you going " jade yelled

"Just a second "

I returned to the laptop and showed her the messages I looked at her reaction as she took a look She was ...smiling? .

"Hey Elena it must've been a prank don't worry yourself. "

"A psycho ? " I said

She nodded And chuckled..... darkly

"Yes... I guess " I mumbled softly.

I glanced at my watch it says 10:30 "So I guess I'll see you tomorrow ? "

"Yeah sure " she said in excitement .

I waved at her and ended the call .

Am I imagine things?
